He has been signed by black quarterback loving bills. I am happy he gets another job but he has everything stacked against him. How does he expect a fair shot after they already screwed over the only white qb on the roster.

With a white QB the Bills will be up to 9 white starters. They are a decent team this year so a white QB could well lead them into the playoffs.

Yeah, I applaud Buffalo for giving a Flynn an opportunity. I understand Buffalo has some caste-QB pedigree, but this is where Flynn is now being given a chance. I'm rooting for the guy.

Flynn's sample has been microscopically brief, but the man may have another 480 yard, 6 TD game in him if he's given more than a one game tryout :noidea:

I think Flynn having some good games would be huge. He is a white QB that has never been given a fair chance. He was stuck behind Aaron Rodgers and in one opportunity had a huge game. Then after signing a big contract he was tossed aside for Midget Wilson, then he was shoved aside for the crappy Tyrelle Pryor.

He is a poster boy for the unfair treatment of talented young white QB;s so if he succeeds in Buffalo it would be awesome!

Word has it that the "illustrious" Thad Lewis is fully practicing and will be the starter on Sunday. Russell Wilson has proven himself to be a worthy starter in the NFL so far but it is the height of absurdity that Flynn has not been given a chance to start over Pryor and now Lewis. Pryor is an "athlete" masquerading as a quarterback and Lewis was a scrub in college at Duke and is nothing more that a practice squad talent in the NFL. Matt Flynn may go down as one of the worst treated White quarterbacks in history.

I actually was thinking more about Flynn's monster game with Green Bay. Six TDs in a single game is a legendary Al Bundy type day..
Six TDs in a single game is not a fluke, only 6 guys have thrown more (including Manning's recent 7 TD game).. other than that you have to go back to Sid Luckman, Y.A. Title days.
No guarantee Flynn fulfills all that potential, it's a treacherous league.. but Pryor just took 10 sacks last week (right ?). Flynn had an uphill tryout in a single start w/Oakland.

This is the main point in all discussion of Matt Flynn. Imagine a black QB throwing SIX TDs in one game. What are the chances that the black guy would be traded, and cut, and struggling to find a starting gig?

I don't think Flynn is that good but I would take him any day over scatter armed Thad Lewis. Lewis had a pretty average game against the Bengals but I have a feeling he is going to stink it up against Miami. Maybe then Flynn will get his shot.

Flynn has never gotten extensive playing time. But the years he had moderate amounts of playing time he played well.

In 2010 his QB rating was 82, in 2011 it was 125 and this year it's 84.

Well Rodgers is out tonight with a shoulder/collar-bone injury (non-throwing arm) thanks to a Shea McClellan sack...

Back-up Seneca Wallace cut this season by the Saints & 49ers is not the answer...they better get Matt Flynn on the phone QUICK just in case Rodgers is out for an extended period of time!

Apparently Green Bay is going to stick with Seneca Wallace.

Green Bay should take long looks at Flynn and Tebow.

Tebow led the last team that started him to the playoffs.

Matt Flynn is playing well for the Packers. He's another white quarterback who's shown he can do the job when given an opportunity.

The Raiders made a mistake when they cut Flynn in favor of Terrelle Pryor. Flynn is clearly a better quarterback than Pryor.

If Flynn was black and Pryor was white, Flynn would never have been cut.

Flynn is playing okay.. I'm rooting for the guy, but he's been inconsistent.

He had a killer game against Dallas the week before, tossing 4 TDs/67% completion rate.. but didn't look good in the loss to Pittsburgh (only completed 21 of 39, including a pick-six) And was barely present for the Detroit game.
I understand the elements affect accuracy.. but losing to Pittsburgh @ home was kinda' surprising. I guess Green Bay is still alive with the Chicago loss (?) Flynn has another chance for end of season heroics, or has Rodgers been cleared to play (?)

There are reasons why New England keeps winning.

Making smart moves such as signing Flynn is one of them.
