Musso is a talented RB prospect from Waunakee, Wisconsin. He recently tore it up at a Nike combine held in Chicago. He looks to be a great runningback for the 2012 class!!

Midwest athletes impressive at Chicago combine

The Nike SPARQ combine tour hit the Windy City and close to 1,000 students from all over the Midwest descended on the Lake Barrington field house. 12 players put up SPARQ Ratings more than 100 points, including a sleeper out of Wisconsin who rang up one of the five best ratings on the tour this year. </font></span>

Leo Musso, RB, Waunakee (Waunakee, Wisc.) </span>
Despite earning all-state honors a year ago after rushing for 961 yards and 13 touchdowns while averaging 10-yards a carry, Musso was somewhat of an unknown prior to the combine. The athlete had a monster combine performance posting a 120.27 SPARQ Rating which was good enough for fourth best in the nation this season. Musso showed great explosiveness with a 40-inch vertical jump and threw the power ball nearly 40-feet.

A 40 inch vert is astounding. With that kind of explosion I think Musso can definitely improve upon that 4.64 forty yard dash. If anything he probably needs some more work on his running form.
<div>I'll be keeping a close eye on both Musso and fellow white RB Joe Schobert! At the end of the season I want to compare their stats to twothree other highlytouted RBs(Jackson,Gulley, andHorn. Both black)from Wisconsin. I have a feeling their stats will be close but the number of offers will not.. </div>

This kid is wanting a Wisconsin offer bad, but from the looks of it they are not going to offer him as a RB. He seems determined to get an offer, I'm guessing if he does it will be as a Safety..Wisconsin is deciding instead to sign RB Vonte Jackson as the lone back in their 2012 class. That way he can team up with the lone RB from their last class and former HS teamate of Jackson, Melvin Gordon.<div></div><div>My advice to Leo would be to be for Leo to send his tape to schools like Northwestern, Wyoming, Rice, SMU, BYU, Ball State, and Air Force. I think those schools might take a chance on a white RB. I know only Northwestern and Ball State are the only teams close in location to Wisconsin.Im guessing he wants to stay close so his family and friends can see him play. But for godsakes he should at least have some FCS offers by now from schools like Eastern Illinois, Southern Illinois, Illinois State, and the Dakota schools. I hope some team takes a chance on him.</div>

I have knowledge that Musso is close to being offered by Minnesota, and that he runs closer to a 4.4 than and 4.6. I went on their message board, and they posters had a big debate about him, and why they weren't recruting him harder. They were also mad that he wants the Wisconsin offer.

Leo currently has 105 attempts for 992 yards. That comes out to a 9.4 yard average and he has 17 Tds in 6 games. His team is undefeated in D2 WIAA, he's having a great senior season!

According to Musso's Facebook page he has verbaled to Minnesotta. Awesome. The kid may never pan out but he has all the tools to succeed.
