The Ruggs case will likely play out similar to these two cases rather than him doing serious time:
"(dynastyleaguefootball) The Raiders have released wide receiver Henry Ruggs. Analysis: Ruggs is facing up to twenty years in prison if convicted on a charge of DUI resulting in a fatality after his corvette struck a RAV-4 and killed the 23-year old woman driving. The legal process will play out and there is sadly a precedent for a case like this in the NFL. Years ago, Donte Stallworth faced a similar charge, spent less than a month in prison, then returned to the league after being suspended for a year. If convicted, the Nevada law has a two-year minimum prison sentence, but there's a long way before Ruggs can even think about football again. It's a tragic situation all the way around and it certainly looks as though Ruggs is far from a victim here. He's an easy cut in dynasty leagues."
Another prominent player charged with homicide by vehicle was defensive end Leonard Little of the St. Louis Cardinals, who had a blood alcohol level of .19 when he hit and killed a woman in 1998. Little was sentenced to four years of probation, 1,000 hours of community service, was suspended for the first eight games of the '99 season then went right back to playing in the NFL for 11 more seasons.
Expect to see Henry Ruggs back in the league next year or '23 at the latest.
Slap on the wrist for those with Professional Black Afflete Privilege. The murderous afflete also had a loaded gun on him at the time of the crash.
The details are pretty grizzly if anyone want to read.
The young woman and her dog burned to death trapped in her vehicle after getting blasted at 120 something MPH.
The wrong person died in the crash. Hopefully he’s put away for as long as the law allows, but as Don has said, he’ll probably get off easy.
I won't read the article but we can bet it was a White woman, with her pet of course. That's pretty much a giveaway. The (((media))) will likely love seeing the afflete get off easy and another White shetska (sp) killed by one of their main tools. Sick. But that's what our kosher media is to their godless, demonic core.
God bless this woman, I hope that Nevada throws the book at "Mr" Ruggs. Sadly with the previous precedents of the legal system I don't expect anything close to the maximum sentence. There will truly be no justice in this case.
PS the 2021 Raiders might get their own NFL films doc in a few years. As the Raiders have had similar distractions as Houston in 93'.
As far as I know Jeff Alm is the only White player to have killed somebody while driving with excessive speed and legally intoxicated. Houston also had fighting among the coaching staff, Warren Moon was charged with domestic violence and the team ended up losing the biggest lead in playoff history until Atlanta in the Super Bowl against the Patriots.
Wait, wasn't Ruggs the guy who had his own segment during the 2020 draft discussing his childhood friend that was killed in a car crash?
Dillon Stoner elevated to active roster, he’s the WR4 so I expect him to play
One of the few times a black football player had to do serious time was Dwayne Goodrich for a hit and run killing two people and seriously injuring a third. He was sentenced to seven years at first, extended to 13 and paroled in 2011 after serving eight years. This was about what an average person sentenced with good behavior would receive. Goodrich did admit his guilt and responsibility, somewhat unique for a black athlete.
The circumstance with Ruggs are, if anything, more egregious. There were no other cars in the vicinity, Ruggs couldn't be more at fault, and Tina Tintor, 23, (and her little dog) died the most horrible death imaginable. From the info available, this calls for a 20 year sentence, which would mean parole after half the sentence for "good behavior."
People with really low smarts and really thick wallets will get really fast, expensive cars and do this kind of thing. The PC way of saying this is like putting Lloyd Christmas at the controls of the Space Shuttle.
That's not a league official or office exec; it's a FANTASY FOOTBALL participant who bit on the shiny hook of industrial sports as the lure to the concept of black integration and eventual supremacy (we are all equal, but blacks are best athletes, hardest-hit victims - you do the math). It's a sad anecdotal example of the typical NFL fan. There are tens of millions just like him based on the TV ratings.
I feel bad for Ruggs and empathize with him. I'm willing to come to bat for him on this.
Regarding prior examples: Donte Stallworth was technically found at no fault during his fatal drunk car crash. The outcome of his trial determined that the victim would have died from the accident whether or not he was drunk behind the wheel (go figure). That accounted for his light sentence and perhaps (or not) his NFL forgiveness. I have no idea about those math gymnastics, but it doesn't seem like Ruggs is gonna get that sort of classification (he was doing 156 mph). I really don't know the specifics.
Any astute reader here knows I struggle myself. Usually, my posts are 110% of poignance and brilliance! But every so often, I leave weird and rude sentence fragments with no explanation. The verb clauses don't even match the tense sometimes! 90% of this is your browser's fault, but 10% I might have been a bit "tired and emotional."
Did you know? In the old British daily papers, they printed the code "tired and emotional" for public figures who were collected drunk by the police. "We found Sir Buttocks after the incident and escorted him home, as he was tired and emotional."
i find myself.
I'm aware that the use of pejorative nicknames for black players has been discouraged on this forum, but I'll admit that I chuckled a bit while I was browsing the comments of a Fox News article and saw one person refer to the former Raider as "Henry Thuggs". Funny stuff.
I feel sorry for Ruggs's victims, the woman and her dog who were burned alive.
Ruggs was drunk and going 156 MPH. His actions were criminal and cost a woman her life. I hope he gets a long sentence. I hope he gets sued for every penny he's got or ever will have.
Unfortunately because of black privilege and the myth of black "victimhood" he probably won't.
The Raiders signed Fullback Sutton Smith to replace the injured Alec Ingold. Hopefully he can finally stick with Las Vegas. https://www.google.com/amp/s/heavy....iders/sutton-smith-signing-gary-jennings/amp/
I wish the Steelers would have kept him around at OLB.
Dude was a MAC wrecking ball...
Good luck young man.
Raiders sign rb Garrett Groshek to PS
For real, the guy had 30 sacks in his last 2 years of college. Don’t know why he had to move to fullback, there’s plenty of other 6’0 235lb linebackers out there.
I think it was the Vikings that signed him actually. Interesting spot for him.
I like that better. He isn’t a fullback.
Mike Maycuck fired, not a surprise. I don't agree with some of this Weenieworld blurb, but Mayock was undeniably a poor drafter. But he did draft Maxx Crosby and Hunter Renfro, so there's that.
Raiders fired GM Mike Mayock. Hired straight from the T.V. in Dec. 2018, Mayock was an abject disaster his three years in the Raiders' front office. In Mayock's defense, it was hard to know where he began and disgraced ex-coach Jon Gruden ended, but together, the duo oversaw impossibly bad drafts and embarked on harebrained rebuilds, none more head-scratching than last spring's offensive line overhaul. Mayock appeared to have no idea what really mattered in the draft, seemingly placing immense value on peripheral qualities like team captainship. Mayock and Gruden squandered a truly immense amount of draft capital. Stupefyingly, only three of the five first-round picks Mayock made even remain on the 53-man roster. Two of the others, OT Alex Leatherwood and DL Clelin Ferrell, are certified busts. The fifth is a running back. It would have been interesting to see what Mayock did without Gruden driving the bus, but the Raiders are understandably keen to try something different. 63-year-old Mayock figures to immediately head back to television.
Had high hopes for Gruden/Mayock duo. They disappointed, no doubt about it. Do appreciate Renfrow and Crosby though!
The irony of Mayock getting fired is that he is getting the blame for the actions of "grown ass men" as the blacks say it. Damon Arnette was cut for making threats and brandishing firearms on social media. Henry Ruggs was speeding drunk in a sports car and killed an innocent woman. Rather than focus the blame on the real issue Mayock was the made the scapegoat to an extent. I'm not saying Mayock was a great GM - the sumo and Ferell are both huge busts (and there are big busts every year) yet the cycle keeps going. To his credit though Crosby and Renfrow have become two great players in the league.
I was curious to see what happened if Mayock drafted without Gruden. Rumors are starting to come out now that Gruden wanted Ferrell. I used to be a Mayock fan until he went full in with the caste tendencies in the latter part of his television career.
Yea, I’m not sure if this firing is a good thing. If Mayock had a part in drafting Crosby and Renfrow, then he’s better than 90% of GMs who would touch a White receiver or defender with a 10 foot pole. Whomever he’s replaced with with more likely be worse.
