She's back! She may be really rusty, but I'm happy she's back!

I am very glad she's back. Nobody can do the sliding leg splits on the tennis court as well as Kim Clijsters. I wish her well on her comeback.Edited by: guest301

Kim just defeated Venus Williams again in the final in Miami (6-2)(6-1). The whiny Williams was no match for the blonde Belgium. I believe she is undefeated against the William's nappy headed hoes since her return from giving birth. In true William's disgrace, Venus once again gave no credit to her conquerer citing the usual excuses.

Williams said: "I think sometimes you have to be careful with practice, not to practice too long. I may have made a mistake with that a little bit. I know better, but 'Eager V' kind of burst through."

Gotta love that nappy headed hoes slayer!

Venus Williams also said after being trounced by Kim Clijsters:

"It wasn't my best day. She played extremely solid, but it's not like I was blown off the court...."

A 6-2, 6-1 thrashing sounds like a blow out to me.

I suppose the title of this thread is as relevant today as it was 10 years ago!

Kim Clijsters today, age 36, announced her return to the WTA tour for the 2020 season. Hard to believe she last played competitive tennis 7 years ago

This is stunning news and I fear it might resemble Bjorn Borg's celebrated comeback which fell flat. Kind of wished she had come back a few years earlier. But make no mistake in her prime she was a terrific bruising athlete. Her problem was she didn't understand tactical tennis but over time she overcame that deficiency and started overwhelming opponents. If she had hung around, like Justin Henin who also left prematurely, Serena wouldn't have bagged as many major titles.

I wish her luck. She was always popular and congenial. At one time Lleyton Hewitt and Kim were a tennis power couple.
