The guy hasn't even played 10 games yet, and he is already second place in RPG at 14.40, and average 19.4 ppg while he gets back into the cruel of the nba schedule that will go well into the mid 20s. The t-wolves are also missing the flying white russian (kirilenko) who was having a darn good season for a guy that wasn't even in the nba last year. And a guy that was an assisting machine last year (rubio) won't be back for at least a month max. I like how the coach (rick adelman) is pushing defense for the team. Defense wins championships kids. That's why college football is so awful to watch (they have no clue how to play defense lol).

Great post and I agree with what you said. Kevin Love has been amazing and he has even played the last several games while fighting the flu. He refused to sit out. Kirelenko should be back soon as he has back spasms. Rubio is already practicing in full scrimages with contact now so I think he might play within a week or two at the most! Chase Budinger is going to be out till Feb or March. Knee surgery is no joke.

The weird thing is that they seemed to be playing better earlier in the year without Love. They have had so many different lineups. The chemistry will come in time. I'm hoping that they eventually start Rubio with Sved at the big guard spot. He is too good to be coming off the bench. This team is going to be very good in a few months. We just have to stay patient.

Congrats to Kevin Love on his 1st Championship. He was a vital contributor this year for Cleveland. Tonight he had nine points, 14 rebounds and 0ver 35 minutes. Towards the end he played great D on Curry to prevent him from scoring at the end.

It was great to see Love get his first ring even if he wasn't the primary focus of the offense. He was a key contributor, one of their big 3, and he knew that would be the situation before he went to the Cavs. Cleveland never would have won this series without his key contributions, which was obvious from last year.

No thread on the NBA finals this year. The league has fallen off the radar here at CF. I kept track of how it was going but didn't watch any games till game seven. Or I tried to watch, then found something else to do after about ten minutes. Something was missing, I don't know, just too much one on one type stuff. Flinging up off balance three pointers. Millionaire street ball. Too many players standing around and watching. IMO if either of these two had been playing the Celtics or Lakers of the 80's they'd have been swept.

Nice to see Love get a ring though.

This is nothing new as most of us know LeBron is an egomaniacal jerk as he was exposed when he purposely threw his warm ups( to a white kid ) nowhere in the direction so this kid had to walk around and pick up his mess. He gets on tv with two other idiots to announce he will sign in Miami and gets a whole 2 hours of special coverage by ESPN.
I just read in game 6 Love went to high five LeBron and had his hand up and James walked by him and ignored him Whether or not he is trying to motivate Love or whatever it is still pretty classless.

Love needs to take his ring and get the hell out of Cleveland. He has no defined role (except standing in the corner and unfairly blamed whenever the Cavs lose), and his confidence looks shot. His minutes went down with Tyronn Lue as the coach. Lue also purged Dellavedova and Mozgov from the lineup. That should be fair warning to any white players wanting to play in Cleveland.

Kevin Love looks to be healthy again. After what seemed like 5 years of injuries, he has averaged just under 25 points(24.6) and 9.5 rebounds over the last five games. Love scored 35 and had 11 rebounds and 4 assists last night. In what seemed to be a sure HOF player ten years ago and the best American born player since Larry Bird, Love went to Cleveland and lost minutes to other players. Then suffered what could've been career ending injuries. Looks like he's battled his way back. Hopefully he can resume playing somewhat like his old self and make a HOF run.

Correction: John Stockton may be considered the best American born player since Bird, but I'm putting Stockton in the Bird era, so mentioned this title to be given to Love.
