How does everyone here feel he will do in the NFL with the Dolphins? He's going to a team with a coach who has a pretty good track record in developing QB's and also has an experienced veteran in Trent Green to help show him the ropes. In my opinion he will be much better than JaMarcus Russell and possibly Brady Quinn as well.

I won't be surprised if Beck steps in at some point in the season, especially if Green struggles and the Dolphins sputter. I think he'll start by next year, and I think he has a bright future in Miami as the starter for years to come. That thought worries me as a Pats fan because I know how good Beck could be. I agree Lance Alworth, I think he'll be better than Russell and Quinn. He'll probably be the quarterback gem of this class. His age and lack of prototype height hurt him coming into the draft. Miami was a perfect situation for him and it's obvious Miami had him as their top rated QB or else they would've taken Quinn.

Even though I'm a Raiders fan first. I live in Miami so the Dolphins are my (at a very close) second favorite team. I was originally miffed when they passed on Quinn and I was thinking that Beck would be snatched up before it was their turn to pick again. Unfortunately, due to the fact that I was so angry with them passing over Quinn, I turned the TV and didn't have a chance to see my boy Beck get drafted by Miami. I've been to a couple of the Dolphins minicamps and Beck has looked pretty impressive with a lot of his throws. Maybe I'm a bit biased in his favor because I'm a BYU guy, but I really think he's going to be tearing up the league in a few years

Beck is a quarterback that can excel in any system because he is a read, and react quarterback in every sense of the phrase. He makes quick concise and usually accurate decisions when playing the quarterback postion. He has a quick release and knows where to deliver the football better than most quarterbacks already in the leauge. I to was miffed at Miami for passing on Quinn, but after they picked Beck I started to like their strategy in the draft. I think Beck will be a very sucsessful quarterback in the NFL will he be Dan Marino no but he will be the best QB to follow after Marino, and that won't be a bad legacy for him to leave.Edited by: White Power

Which is exactly why Cameron wanted him and Green over Dumbte Fumblepepper.

I frequently visit the Dolphins message boards and its absolutely astounding how many Dolphin fans are loyal to Daunte Culpepper and still want him to remain on this team. Despite the fact that he in no way fits Cam Camerons system. You gotta love these caste-whores.

White Power, I don't know if you ever visit www.finheaven.com but there is this poster there named retired-dolfan-stan or something like that and he has the biggest man-crush on Daunte Culpepper, so much so that you would think he was watching a gay porno with him in it. What the hell did Daunte Culpepper do here in Miami that makes him worthy of such accolades?

As for Beck, I like your analysis on him. I really do think he will be something special in this league
