Just reading the article with Groetegood...I went to the rival high school, Servite, fifteen years earlier. Once again, LB Poly was #1. In fall '82 , Steve Beurlein torched them for 350 yards in a 31-6 ass - kicking in the CIF finals. Their entire defensive backfield ended up at UCLA and the NFL. Servite played them the next year...at jackrabbit stadium and wrecked 'em again 28-10 with Servite again winning the CIF title.
