I believe he has sub 10 in his legs and it is just a matter of time.

He has withdrawn from the South African team to Mauritius for the Africa champs, with the blessing of Athletics South Africa, to concentrate on qualifying for Eugene. He would have left for Mauritius tomorrow and back in Europe next Sunday losing a week.

Exciting times ahead.

He should have left for Mauritius tomorrow but withdrew from the South African team for the African Champs. He is staying in Europe to qualify for the Worlds. He has Athletics South Africa's blessing to do this. This will allow maybe 3 extra meetings in Europe.

I truly wish your son all the good fortune to achieve the 10.05(hopefully faster) so he can compete in the 2022 World Track and Field Championships!!! The difference in 10.14 and 10.05 is approximately 1-1.25 strides, he can do it!!!

Did something happen with the Hengelo Meet? I didn't see him on the start list for the mens 100 meters. The field is stacked like an Olympics Semi Final or Finals. I was sad to see Joris Van Gool there instead of Emile Erasmus. Not that I dislike Van Gool
but he in his current form is not on the level to compete with any of the other sprinters. Emile Erasmus would be a far better competitor.

He is a late entry to Hengelo. They have not updated the start list yet and I do not know who has been dropped. This is certainly going to be a big test for him, strongest field he has ever competed against. On season best he is within striking distance from them all. Fortunately he is never intimidated by the competition and his focus is always on his own race.

On a side onte about South African Sprinting I found a young white sprinter with talent to root for. Maybe he can follow in the steps of Emile Erasmus someday. His name is
Henru Olivier. He is only 18 and has already run a 10.28 wind legal. One to watch for the future but for now it's Emile Erasmus time to shine!

I had to chuckle (not with joy). You guys have exactly the problem we have here in Australia.. If you are fst the chequebooks will be out from the sports that have money to burn. We lost a valuable 10.10 man in Trae Williams for rugby seven's - and he was of course a great relay first leg.

I had to chuckle (not with joy). You guys have exactly the problem we have here in Australia.. If you are fst the chequebooks will be out from the sports that have money to burn. We lost a valuable 10.10 man in Trae Williams for rugby seven's - and he was of course a great relay first leg.

Emile had so many offer from SA sevens but stuck to sprinting. In grade 11 and 12 he played Springbok High School 7's. Played 2 matches against the senior Blitzbokke. Played against the now coach Neil Powell twice. This was 2009 and 2010.

The weather looked very cold. You cculd see all the fans bundled up in warm sweaters and jackets as well as hats for the wet weather. It's unfortunate.

On the bright side. Kyree King has ran a 9.90 windy and a 9.98 wind legal in May. Emile Erasmus ran stride for stride with him. Blake got a tremendous start. It must be those magical
yams. that Bolt always talked about. ) Erasmus came in 3rd place but was 2/100th of a second for tieing for 2nd place in a very high quality field despite some guys pulling out of the race before
ikt started. So Erasmus again showed he belongs with the Big Boys. We all know this here but he is proving himself to his skeptics which should bode well for him. Can't wait for his next race. Please
let it be in nice hot sunny weather with a slight tailwind. Hope he gets a lane position like today. Lanes 3,4,5 and 6 are the premium lanes for fast times and victories in my honest opinion!

Always a pleasure. I see there is a copyright claim on the video, sorry about that. It has been taken off my channel.

I thought he had a very good race although he is not to happy and said he dropped the ball. Should have gone sub 10.20 again, but that is the way it is. He felt that he could have beaten Blake if he ran his own race, but unfortunately that's history now.

Next booked race is in Copenhagen 16 June. He ran there in 2018 won the race and ran his best sea level time against the wind 10.11. He has good memories from there. I am hoping that he gets a race in between.

He was booked to leave on a bus from Hengelo back to his base in Amsterdam this morning at 11. At about 9am his agent visited him in his room and gave him the news. He flew to Rome this afternoon and arrived at his hotel at about 9:30pm.

He was really surprised and did not expect it. He is being given a major chance, well deserved I think. My prayer and hope is that he grabs this opportunity with both hands. I believe in him 200% and I am confident that we will see another podium!!

I hope you guys have access to TV coverage for the diamond league.
