Well it looks like " the most dangerous player in the NFL" is at least consistant. The Falcoons are off to another 8-8 season. Ron (Crisco fingers) Vick lost another game for his team. I love it!!! Does anyone know how long Crisco's contract is for? I hope he and fetal alchohol syndrome looking Mora stay there and suck for years to come, it's worth watching the Negro Football League just to see them lose.Edited by: Renaissance Man

Just the fact that he got booed yesterday makes it a thing to watch. Unfortunately, I didn't see any of that. Actually, I only watched the Giants game last night. I tried to get some rest after church yesterday morning. Vick is a wash big time, and the "masterful" performances of a few weeks ago are beign quickly forgotten as the reality of the situation hits all those involved with the Faclons.

The announcers blamed the fumble that cost them the game on the offensive line and defense for keeping Vick on the field too much and not protecting well.. on the play he had good protection and decided to take off, with no one around and the ball dangling far out from his body, he flat out dropped it... EXCUSES for Vick have to stop.. He's average at best, and teams are onto him.. the Browns did a great job of containing his running ability and forced him to pass for his whopping 16-42 i believe he finished, yet he is revolutionizing the position!

Before the game one of the announcers actually said the following speaking of Vick: "looking at the landscape of succesful quarterbacks in the league you have to ask "can you win with a running quarterback?"

Never heard that before. I'm sorry I can't remember his name but he was paired with Rich Gannon.

Vick's performance was...well, I'll leave it alone. Let's just say that 100 million dollars doesn't buy what it used to.

LOL @ comparing Vick to Rich Gannon. Rich was known for his precision passing, two words that will never be mentioned in the same breath as - (exhale) - Mike Vick.

Can anyone imagine what in the hell would have happened if Matt Schaub would have completed only 16 out of 40 passes with two interceptions? He would have been exiled to Canada within fifteen minutes after the postgame press conference.

Another thing, comparing Vick to Rich Gannon is a logical as a venereal disease infesting a virgin.

Vick was actually booed? This can't be! The networks will never put up with this. I am now waiting on NFL producers to pipe in artificial cheering on future "Vick telecasts."

Hell, you don't even have to be that bad. Just ask Billy Volek. The sad thing is, Vick will likely never be benched. What else do you do with a guy who is earning $100 mil?

Wonder why they aren't comparing Vick to some other black running quarterbacks, like Culpepper for instance? They don't want to compare two black quarterbacks and ask 'if you can be successful.'

Or they'll turn down the sound in the booth so no one will hear it. Edited by: White Shogun

From what Poacher said, Vick wasn't compared to Gannon. The announcer that asked 'can you win with a running QB' was paired with Gannon...

Yes. There was no direct comparison to Gannon made. The announcer just put the question to Gannon "can you win with a running QB?" I brought it up because you NEVER hear any announcers try to discredit or even question the great and almighty "athletic" quarterback. It was refreshing to hear the question.

Even though "Mike" was booed, wire service stories I read, made a point of blaming his receivers for dropping a number of passes. Since I didn't see the game, I was wondering what the definition of "a number" might be. I'd be surprised if it was more than two.

Ah, okay. Even the announcer knew better than to compare Vick to Gannon - especially with him sitting there! LOL

What was Gannon's response to the question?

WS, Gannon said something to the effect of "you can win with one but running can't be a priority...throwing has to come first and right now with Vick throwing is not coming first." Not a direct quote from Gannon, more or less a paraphrase but you get the idea.

As far as Vick's receivers dropping balls they did drop some. Probably around 3 as near as I can remember. One was a long bomb that the receiver dropped but in his defense the ball was put on his outside shoulder forcing him to contort to try and make the play. I don't know that his receivers drop any more than anyone else's.

The writing is on the wall. Vick is in his 6th year and he is currently one of the worst rated passers in the league...again. The caste media is the only thing standing between him and being universally labled a BUST.

Also notice how "Mike Vick lost the game to the Browns". This is how every media outlet has reported the game. Not the Browns beat the Falcons becuase how can a team with Mike Vick on it be beaten, only they the Falcons can beat themselves. I love how the media loves to put a spin on a story to how they see fit not what actually happened. Which is the Falcons actually being beaten by the superior team on a given Sunday.

I don't know whiteCB, I think it's more surprising that they actually said Vick lost the game, rather than blaming it on dropped passes or injuries or a weak Atlanta D. For all intents and purposes, except for the quarterback position Atlanta IS a better team than the Browns. Edited by: White Shogun

On the NFL Network last week, Jim Mora Sr. called Vick a "coach killer." His son of course is Vick's coach.

Don,

I do believe he also said the same thing on Fox Sports Radio (over the weekend). By the way, if is wasn't for his TE, (who is also overrated) Vick's quarterback rating would be a hell of a lot worse! Which is not saying a lot.
