By the way CF member icsept was saying he was going to attend the Georgetown Oklahoma State game. Interested in his first hand report.

Yes, I attended the game. I was pleasantly surprised at McClung’s size, he appeared a good 6’2” with plenty of thickness. He primarily played off the ball, even though Georgetown didn’t have their primary point guard. He scored every way possible, with several catch and shoot 3’s, mid-range pull up jumpers off the dribble, and a few drives to the hoop. He also made all of his free throws. He got chastised by coach Ewing after shooting a heat check 3-pointer from the center court logo. His passing was somewhat sloppy, and he was only given the easiest defensive assignments. All in all, it was pretty effortless. OSU was missing their point guard and best defender, so Mac had an easier time. And nobody really challenged him or gave him any hard fouls. The only disappointment was he never had a dunk opportunity, but he had a sweet baseline drive reverse layup, showing some great hops. The OSU fans were quite frustrated, lol.

I think because of his star youtube.com fame to go along with his 48 inch vertical he is a sure thing to go nba in the next year or two. He is the size of a point guard so if I were Matt McClung I would work on my handles and passing more. He can shoot pretty good and also can create his shot at will inside or outside. His height is not good on the defensive end but when you can score to go along with being able to create for other teammates around him I see him being a lottery pick either this year or next. If he averages around 19 or 20 a game this season, which I believe he will I'm positive he will declare for the
2020 NBA Draft. He is a household name already. Just keep working hard on his dribbling and passing skills. McClung will be one to watch at the next level. Poster dunks and deep three point shots. Even if he stays at off guard he will be drafted but he played the point in high school and that is his natural position. They should put him in Akinjos spot.

Matt McClung is leading scorer again with 33pts against an undefeated team in Oklahoma State! :)
