He's probably another one of the many black athletes who prefer looking good to actually being an accomplished athlete. Many Whites are intimidated by black physiques, as with Whites a great physique usually translates to outstanding athletic ability, but that's not the case with many blacks, who often look stronger and more athletic than what they actually are.

Ain't that the truth! Being ripped doesn't mean you can play good football! Last time I checked, ones physique doesn't determine coordination, spacial awareness or overall athleticism!

When BYU played UCLA and Collie owned him May's physique did show impressive definition as he flailed around trying to figure out where Collie was.

Mays played for USC. When Stanford crushed USC, at USC, something like 63-18 a couple of years ago when Gerhart rushed for about 180 yards and Luck, Whalen, Marecic and company made the USC secondary, including Mays, look like the overrated, over-hyped, totally unphysical recruits that they actually were, no matter how much coaches like Carroll are probably turned on by their "physique", he obviously didn't impress Harbaugh then, and he certainly didn't now, either...Carroll, neither, although he probably still misses his "physique". I hope he gets over it.

USC, UCLA, same difference. I don't care about either anyway. Anythng south of Sacramento no longer exists for all intents and purposes. And it's starting to get bad up here too.

It is interesting to note that Mays is half black, half Jewish :kev:

I agree that Mays is on his way to being a legitimate bust. His physique that all of the DWFs get worked up over is one thing that I don't give a rip about. From an athleticism standpoint, he is outstanding, that can't be denied. He was the Washington State 3A champion for the 100M and 200M as a sophomore before going all-in to football. His problem is that he has very poor ball skills, and lacks a feel for coverage. His glaring lack of INTs at USC in spite of most opponents having to chuck the ball playing catch-up is telling. As a hitter, he might be best suited as a strong safety rather than free, where he's always played. That said, there are probably three dozen white safeties now working as accountants and supervisors that would have been a better pick than Mays.

Jordan Shipley -- Word is wigger Jay Gruden had demoted him prior to the season (before his injury) -- he lost his #3 spot after a fantastic rookie season, which proved he was worthy of starting. Why? What sane person could say anything other than that's the way things are with Uncle Marv running the show?

Although this thread was only resurrected due to a trolls spam onslaught, it is interesting to review Mays career, in comparison to his draft position, DWF fantasies, and CF reality.

In five years and 66 games, he has a grand total of 98 tackles. A whopping 6 passes defensed, and ZERO interceptions. Heck, he is so invisible that I really didn't even know that he was still in the league until I looked him up.

I figure that five years of below mediocrity has certified us as correct in proclaiming him a BUST.
