If those two had to face off in a spelling bee or jeopardy style trivia contest, I’m really not sure who would “win”. You could throw in Crab Legs if you needed a third “contestant”. Haha.
So he literally went off into “muh dik” territory!? Rightwing internet memes present more reality than any “news” that comes from the tel-avivsion or the papers. What a time to be alive.
The State of the Black QB in the NFL: RGIII and Cam Newton are done. Deshaun and Lamar have failed to live up to the hype. Russell Wilson is in a downward spiral. Dak has reached his ceiling. Kyler, Jalen, Trey Lance and Justin Fields are the great black hopes? Patrick Mahomes is the best Black QB in the league. He was gifted a perfect system and weapons. That will not last forever, and we will find out whether he can carry a franchise without everything in his favor.
Watson will be one to watch. Will he be a victim of cannibalization by the media due to his perversions with female masseuses? Will he be a beneficiary of the black privilege that most affletes enjoy? The regression has been great to see this year. The caste system is hyping up the next quotabacks in the college ranks already though - no rest for the wicked.
The best non-White QB is Mahomes by a country mile. However, I don’t really considering him a “black quarterback”. He’s mixed race and really should be in a 3rd category all together. Would anyone honestly say that he excels at quarterback due to his black genetics? I think a strong argument could be made for the opposite. Anyway this is a bit of a tangent but also somewhat relevant to the Black QBs thread.
Mahomes is the best Mulatto QB for sure! I agree. Time for a third category. Dak can go in that category as well. Ridder is still getting hyped as a 1st rounder despite getting blown in out "Playoffs".
He excels at quarterback because he can throw a baseball 96mph and he inherited that ability from his dad who pitched in MLB. He's more like Elway than Randall Cunningham.
Bleh I don’t like even uttering Elway and Mahomes in the same sentence. Put Mahomes on elways teams and Mahomes wouldve been a bust. I personally think no player has ever elevated a team more than Elway would.
Do you like uttering Elway and Doug Williams in the same sentence? If it wasn't for Williams, Elway would have gotten his first, of two, super bowl rings at age 27, not 37. And 37 is a lot older than 24, which was the age Pat Mahomes got his first super bowl ring at.
I think it's a bunch of reasons, obviously arm strength but he also throws with a unique baseball middle infielder style that few qb's do at a world class level. He also is willing to gamble in spots because he has probably the best current receiving tight end, possibly the fastest receiver in the NFL as Hill was a world class junior sprinter. He did hit a rough patch early in the season and aside from forcing some throws many of his interceptions were bizarre plays where the numbers were eventually going to go the other way. Really he is the only world class "Black" qb in the league as Wilson is starting to fade and to me if Seattle got a dumb team to trade picks for Wilson it would be a prudent move to reload.
I think Elway might be the most talented QB of all time. As in, in a vacuum, there’s possibly no QB I’d take over him. when he won MVP and took his team to the SB I feel it’s the equivalent to a QB leading this years Jaguars to the SB
That depends on what era's rules of football we are talking about. If we are talking 1980s when quarterbacks still got smacked around a lot, Montana was #1, Elway was #2, and Marino was #3. Earlier, maybe Unitas, Staubach, or Starr, and Stabler the Snake as a dark horse. Modern rules, it's Brady #1, Peyton #2, Rogers #3, Brees #4, Favre #5. In 10 years we may find Mahomes in the top 5 of the modern class. I think top 10 is likely. But he's only 26 and only time will tell. So how would Brady do in the 1970s? He would probably be out of the league by age 30 due to injury as he is pretty thin.
Saints resign Crab Legs and Mariota to the falcons after the Matt Ryan trade. We aren’t seeing the drop off in quotas in the league as we should be.
https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.c...excited-to-focus-on-my-intermediate-accuracy/ Jameeezzz excited to work on his accuracy. I guess his first seven years in the league weren’t enough time for him to work on it. I can’t imagine a White QB saying this and not being criticized. Im back all in on criticizing and nitpicking blacks at the qb position. Peter king and florio are both pushing the quota agenda even further. I’m not going to give an inch or not worry/fight against the caste system and it’s full on push to take over the qb position
For sure. Encouraging and funny there's only five comments there at the article and all are pretty negative about him. And they have a bunch of down votes. "Nothing to see here" they seem to counter.
My unsolicited opinion: The best debaters and persuaders are able to step into the shoes of their opponents and present their side of the story objectively before effectively rebutting it. Coming up with derogatory nicknames and dismissing every single Black QB out of hand as a mere "quota" or "quotaback" comes across negatively to the vast majority of those willing to look at the issue with an open mind. It's not a reasonable argument or position as it's based on hostility rather than objectivity. You put a great deal of time and effort into letting us know about talented White college players, which is greatly appreciated. If you would be as objective when it comes to the quarterback position and fit it into the bigger picture of the Caste System and how it operates, because the evidence and facts are overwhelmingly on our side, it would be more effective. Just my two cents, or because of runaway inflation, my five cents.
