Here is the video of the race. As far as I know Boling has not finished first in any race yet in college. I'm actually happy about that not because I don't root for the kid. He is my
favorite sprinter in the world. Just take a look at my avatar pic to the left. So why am I happy he is losing? This is how you grow and level up. He dominated high school like very
few sprinters ever have. It was way too easy most of the time. Even at the Pan American Champs he continued to dominate. Now he is tasting the bitter taste of defeat. No one, I repeat
no one hates to lose more than Boling. He will learn and grow from this. I stated a month ago he needs alot more strength to become a better 60 meter sprinter. His starts just are not
there yet. He needs to continue to work on his drive phase and the transition in the middle of the race. I have full confidence by the spring he will break his p.b. outdoors. The times
indoors just are not gonna be that great yet. He is building a foundation for the future. The kid is a freshman and he will be a superstar. Give him time guys. The kid is an elite talent! :)

Adam Thomas of GB won the 60m race in Mondeville, France.
Christophe Lemaitre was 3rd. Not sure why he is still competing. I guess he wants to be on the French relay team at the Tokyo Olympics.

Fabian Olbert currently has a run in the proverbial sense. The sprinter of LG Stadtwerke München, which still belongs to the U20, improved its Bavarian record in the 60 meter final to 6.68 seconds on Saturday afternoon at the Bavarian Indoor Championships in Munich. Nationally, only today's German record holder Julian Reus (6.64 sec) was ever faster in this age group.

"The nice thing is: I think I can do it even faster," beamed Fabian Olbert immediately after the finish at the Bavarian Indoor Championships in Munich. Shortly before, the Munich had improved his Bavarian U20 hall record over 60 meters to 6.68 seconds. After a start, which the European relay team in the U20 himself described as "okay, but not optimal", the 19-year-old sprinted towards the finish line in his incomparable style. Compared to the previous year, Olbert no longer loses its frequency on the last few meters. Second place went to the German U18 double champion Florian Knerlein (6.90 sec).

"In Neubrandenburg at the German Youth Hall Championships, I would like to raise my record a bit again," announced Fabian Olbert. Will it even be enough for the Reus best mark? When asked, Fabian Olbert grinned mischievously

Hale was pressing the last 25-30m when Browning caught up to him and past by him, you can see him start to bob his head..great start which is not usually Hales strong point.

Luca Lai of Italy ran a fantastic time of 6.57 yesterday.
Wonder where this guy has been before now? He's 27 yrs old.

I am intrigued with this guy, coming from obscurity to run the fastest 60m time in Europe.
Apparently he's a nurse, and sprinting has been a hobby, but now is taking the sport more seriously.
At least that's what I think, based on reading some Italian sports articles.
His 60m time is better than Tortu's best. It would nice for Italy to have 2 top European sprinters.
Let's see what happens with the rest of his season.

Luca Lai - I was intrigued enough by that time to do some brief research on him. He had a 10.78 minor club champs win in 2016.
Last year he did PR 6.65 for 60 and a PR 10.24 /100 at Chaux-les-Fonds.
If this year's improvement in the 60 carries across I hope we may see a very respectable 100 time around the 10.10

Actually, his 6.65PR was set earlier this year. Last year his PR was 6.68. And his 10.24 PR was with 2.0 wind and 1000 meters of altitude.
So this year's improvement looks even greater with that in mind. Very curious to see how he does at the Italian Championships later this month.

Jemma Reekie, 21 yrs old of Scotland, smashed the British indoor 800m record today.
A great time of 1:57.91. It is the fastest 800m indoor time run by a woman since 2006!
Laura Muir was 2nd, just missing the previous British indoor record herself, by .01.

The track thread is always fun to read. One thing about the middle-distance gals, they are usually pretty hot....

I still haven't heard any news on Emilie Erasmus. I hope all is well with him, his dad and the rest of the family. I think I might have found his younger brother
Ryk Erasmus who is a 15 year old sprinter that is being talked very highly of. Hope this kid sticks with it as we would have two kids in that family to root for! Here
is a picture of Ryk Erasmus. I hope to see him sprinting sometime soon in the next few years!

White American whose surname is " price " ...this young lady looks interesting over 60 ...she is still quite raw ....she has Abigail upside re weights and technique ..sprinting on pure talent ...very quick leg turnover and very fast first 20 meters..otherwise all ver the place ...as said one to watch ......also the Italian Luca lai was a talented junior who left the sport and is obviously back again ....

Luca lai will need to back up his impressive 6.57 with a solid display in order for us to sit up and take real notice .........still have to say the Aussie system is a mess and the likes of browning et al should be running in Europe this time of the year ...makes no sense from a global aspect ...by the time the olympics come around they have nothing left in the tank ...,

Final roughly one hour ...................also of note some very impressive triple jumping by the ladies ....and the pole vault has Sam kendricks in action ( note little known fact , this guy has a massive vertical leap ) ...kendricks is such a natural athlete , it would be interesting to see him do an indoor multi event ...
