If I still had the sports package I would have been able to see this game which looked like a better alternative to the Packers/49ers dull fest.

But scanning the stat sheet some stuff stood out. I didn't realize Eberhardt was a senior already but he finished with a nice 7-132 stat line. His first two games were real quiet and I don't see any NFL interest at this point.

Muma a junior finished with 17 tackles. He is off to a great start this season.

Other notable players in this game for Wyoming include rising freshman DE Bertagnole who had 8 tackles. That is a lot of tackles for a DE.

For Colorado State ( where my buddy coaches ha ) safety Brinnon had 8 tackles, DL MBride had 2 TFLs and Miami transfer DE Patchen again filled up the stat sheet with a 4 tackle, 1 sack, 2 TFL and 2 QB hurries game. I wonder of the NFL scouts are taking notice?

Appreciate the breakdowns! Nice to see Eberhardt with a break out game! Big play threat 16yd avg only 24career catches.

17tkls for Muma?! Hot damn!

The young DE seems promising as well!

Patchan has been tearing it up for CSU. He should garner some NFL interest with his talk and lanky DE frame. A bit older though.

Also pleasing to see Brinnon and McBride contributing on Defense! As you mentioned should have watched instead of GB game.

Levi Williams is also starting for the rest of the year due to another season ending injury by the Wyoming quota.

Jason Shelley was mediocre at Utah but has enough "juice" to start for Gary Andersen at Utah St

Been a rough start to Williams career. I remember there was some hype when they landed him from Texas. Still glad he's playing due to black quarterback injury but hoping he improves his play!

Yea it will be interesting to see how his career pans out. Even after this year he has three years of eligibility. I am trying to remain optimistic about this season because it may give more of our guys a shot at some in game experience and gaining the upper hand on starting jobs while not losing any eligibility.

Good point.

Any idea Who's third in line for Wyoming at QB? Perhaps give him a look if Williams can't improve that accuracy.

I'm watching the Byu vs Boise St. Game. BYU is up 7-0 in the first quarter. If BYU can win tonight they will go to 8-0! This would be huge! Let's Go Cougars!

Hobbs Nyberg, a Dolphin mention a couple years ago, surfaced with BYU returning a punt...Then a penalty happened, they had to re-do the punt and the kid caught it at the five. Poor decision young man. Number 26, listed as a WR, but also played running back in high school.....Stocky kid to be a wideout.....with Jackson McChesney out and Bruce Garrett bailing for reasons still unknown, maybe he’s fourth string running back??????

No clue. I think Williams will be the QB, he only started handful of games last year and is still an underclassmen. No reason to think he won't improve.

QB D'Eriq King @ 5'-11" 203 could not out run LB Payton Wilson @ 6 '- 4" 240 ! ; who makes the tackle

Nice to see Ayden Eberhart 7 - 132 w break out game; glad to include him in the 2020 WR Thread... figured he had it in him!

Colordao State's Trey McBride has the look of a future TE!

Will Mallory was a big time WR in HS....Added weight & moved him to TE like they did Mark Andrews

Anyone watching SJSU/SDSU? Looks like Starkel is out. If he is injured there goes Gaither's production.

Love watching BYU. Hilarious how the brothas hate BYU. They remind me of the fraternity boys I used to hate in college. They always had the better athletes and all the hot girlfriends.

BYU starting to pull away to start the third! 23-3 after a Wilson to Isaac Rex connection! Fun team to watch.

It’s early but I’m hoping that they can sneak into the playoff his year

BYU is in cruise control on the road against a top 25 team in Boise State. This is a very impressive showing by the Cougars. Late 3rd quarter with a 31-3 lead! Wow! :)

So how are two of the best receivers in the nation doing on national tv so far? Have a look guys:

Dax Milne 3 catches for 99 yards!

Gunner Romney 4 catches for 76 yards!

It's truely a joy to watch this undefeated team make the game of football look so easy. Zach Wilson is 18-23 for 274 yards & 2 tds already! I honestly think Wilson, Milne and Romney
are all going to be playing in the nfl in the near future. I have no doubt about Wilson but Milne and Romney will have to continue to prove the doubters wrong! They are NFL Level Wide Receivers!

Awesome work BYU. All the haters on facebook questioning BYU's rank will be a little more quiet now after BYU beat Boise State. Gunner Romney finished with 133 yards and Dax Milne had 99 yards, which takes Milne up to 800+ receiving yards for the season.

Absolutely a big win for BYU. Missed the game but beating Boise 51-17 is very impressive. They have little chance of making the playoffs but it could lead to a high quality bowl matchup. Often forgotten in the mix is safety Zayne Anderson. Not on NFL draft lists at the moment my hope is players like Anderson and Nolan Turner get a chance to go to the combine. Getting invited to the combine is the best indication that NFL scouts are interested. But too often worthy white players are turned away.

[ Late edit: they are replaying the game and I noticed Anderson was MIA. Apparently he suffered an ankle injury last week. Don't think it is serious. He has had a history of injuries so it is important he remain healthy. PS it is always comforting to see white receivers have big games and BYU has been at the forefront of that this season.]

QB Zach Wilson is now seen as an early first round draft pick and some are comparing his playing style to Pat Mahomes which is high praise. Wilson is not as fat. Ha.

I did catch most of the NC State game and it was disappointing that Payton Wilson's LB partner Drake Thomas was a late scratch. Wilson ended up with half a sack and 12 tackles in their loss. He is an NFL talent.

Speaking of which I am truly impressed with Miami TE Will Mallory. He ended up with a 6-78-1 stat line. Very athletic. He reminds me of Hayden Hurst. Just a junior. My type of tight end.

Bad news of the night was Bailey Gaither had an anemic 3-20-1 stat line. It will be very difficult for him to garner NFL attention with these type of games and as pointed out he lost his QB which probably played a big factor. Hopefully he gets back to having big games but overall it still appears there won't be any white wide receivers drafted. That would make it two seasons in a row. Never say never but right now news on that front looks bleak.

Like a minefield a whopping eight games have either been postponed or cancelled today. Along with the Big Ten game as mentioned above two Pac-10 teams including Utah have been lopped off before they even got out of the gate. Good grief. Another game postponed is Army/Air Force which they hope to make up.

Have to trudge through this and at least a good set of games are on today. Could be worse and we could be shuttled back to the spring where all sports were off.

A good one right out of the box as Iowa and Michigan State meet. Also will check in on Texas when they are offense to see if WR Jake Smith can build on his last performance. The other early game is Michigan and undefeated Indiana (2-0).

I'll also do a quick check on Syracuse at 2:00 to see if speedy RB Cooper Lutz is playing.

I always go into a Saturday with visions of sugar plums etc. and routinely things never quite work out as I had hoped. But like some fool who never learns his lesson I keep coming back for more. Hope springs eternal for the desperate.

I’m roooting for Notre Dame today over Clemson. Book has been criticized all week for not being able to win a big game. Would like to see him come out on top today especially with Clemson starting ooga booga. If Lawrence was starting it would be a different story.

WR Charlie Jones of Iowa with two nice plays so far. A punt return of 26 yards and an earlier nice end around run. Don't forget WR Niko Ragaini. He had a nice catch and run. Joe Evans brings the heat that caused an interception. They might be afraid to throw in the direction of Riley Moss.
