Since 2006 the Mountaineers have started 11, 9, 10, 9, 7, 7, 4, 9, 6, 6, 7, 9 and 8. In 2019 there will likely be 9 white starters.

I was shocked to see the amount of white players on the preseason depth chart. Almost a snowplow OL with almost all white backups as well.

FS Dante Bonamico will be a guy to watch! Very undersized but so far is listed as the starting free safety.

I was hoping Shea Campbell would earn a starting spot a senior but he’s listed as a backup so far.

DL Reese Donahue has been a starter the last couple years but hasn’t been very impressive, hopefully he can turn that around in 2019.

QB Austin Kendall or Jack Allison
FB Elijah Drummond or Logan Thimons
LT Colton McKivitz
C Chase Behrndt
RG Josh Sills
RT Kelby Wickline

DT Reese Donahue
MLB Dylan Tonkery
FS Dante Bonamico

Players to watch
TE Mike O’Laughlin, OL Zach Davis, OL Blaine Scott, OL Adam Stilley, OL Jacob Buccigrossi, OL Tyler Thurmond, LB Zach Sandwisch, LB Jake Abbott, LB Shea Campbell

Well now it looks like Dante Bonamico will not start... they moved him from FS to “Spear” which is an in the box hybrid linebacker. I don’t understand this, he’s 5’8” 180lbs and with the move he might be all the way down to third string after working as the starting free safety all summer and spring.
