Since 2005, Navy has started 13, 10, 9, 11, 13, 13, 12, 10, 9, 9, 8, 5, and 9 starters. Looks to be 7 this year, a team that has darkened majorly. Former starting QB Zach Abey was bizarrely moved to WR as a senior. He is still listed as a back up QB and apparently will get a lot of goal line action at that position. FB Anthony Gargiulo should get a decent workload in this offense after running for 423 yards as a back up last year. A very disappointing starter count from Navy but at least they have a couple of skill position guys

Offense -
WR - Zach Abbey
FB - Anthony Gargiulo
C - Ford Higgins
RG - Chris Gessell
RT - Andrew Wood

Defense -
LB - Taylor Heflin
LB - Hudson Sullivan

Back ups include SB Mason Plante, WR Ryan Mitchell, LT Jake Hawk, LG David Forney, RG Steve Satchell, OLB Evan Fochtman, ILB Griffin Baumoel, and OLB Diego Fagot.

The Naval Academy must be really dropping their academic & admission standards a great deal if more afroletes are admitted & playing. That’s a travesty for more deserving & qualified White student athletes.

Abey being replaced as qb is absurd. They are wasting his running ability by moving him to WR in a triple option offense.

5 rushes for 17 yards and 4 TDS for Abey against Hawaii. Future as an NFL goal-line RB?
