Here are the White starters and overall roster for the 2018 Houston Texans:

QB – Brandon Weeden

TE – Ryan Griffin

C – Nick Martin

G – Greg Mancz

DE – J.J. Watt

LB – Brian Peters

Special teams: P Trevor Daniel, K Ka’imi Fairbairn*, LS Jon Weeks

*Some Hawai’ian mutt

LB Ben Heeney is on the injured reserve but he’s a kneeler so screw him. TE Matt Lengel is on the practice squad.

Head cuck….I mean coach, Bill O’Brien has turned The Texans from one of the Whitest teams to one of the blackest in 4 short years. His overall record of 31-33 is the definition of mediocrity and shows the team is not better with a darker complexion. This year the team is in Steeler / Raider / Jack Del Rio territory with single digit Whites. Whatever fairness we thought we saw with O’Brien at NE and then Penn State was clearly an illusion or a product of others.

Ryan Griffin is a good TE but has never topped 500 yards receiving. Maybe he can break out? JJ Watt is one of the best defensive lineman to ever play the game but after 2 injury plagued seasons, one wonders if he can return to his former dominate self. Seeing the 3-time Defensive Player of the Year return to the tackling, sacking, pass swatting monster would be the only compelling reason to watch the Texans this year. Otherwise, I hope they crash and burn.

Total White starters: 3 (-1 from 2017)

Total Whites on 53-man roster: 8 or 9 (-5 from 2017)

Grade: F-

O'Brien is another piece of poisonous fruit from the Belichick coaching tree. What hope is there of other teams "copying" the best team in the league over the past nearly 20 years when Belichick's own assistant coaches won't?

On another topic, the manlove for Deshaun Watson is absurd. It's assumed by the media and DWF Nation that Watson will pick right up where he left off last year before blowing out his knee and be one of the top three quarterbacks in the league this season. The trail of black QBs who started off relatively well and then quickly came back to earth is long and well chronicled. But it's not as long as the trail of black QBs who sucked right from the beginning and never got better.

Watson threw for a measly 176 yards against a horrendous NE secondary and rushed for 40 yards. He burned plenty of DWFs that drafted him high in fantasy football.

Aside from TE Ryan Griffin, there’s nothing to care about on O’Brien’s jet-black, Caste squad. I hope I’m wrong...but I think JJ Watt is washed-up. His stats are horrendous and when he’s not on season-ending IR, the guy is invisible on the field. I watched him on Sunday and he couldn’t beat the inglorious combination of Waddle and Cannon. Very sad.

I'd say the sample size is awfully small on both Watson and Watt to draw conclusions at this point. This was Watson's first game back after blowing out his knee, and Watt's first game after pretty much missing the last two seasons. Before that, Watt's stats were the best ever for his position. I'm not rooting for Watson and believe he's not going to be a top NFL QB though he may turn out to be better than most black quarterbacks, but if Carson Wentz for example doesn't tear it up his first game or two or three when he returns I'm not going to worry about it.
