chile could really kick brazil out if the refereeing is not out of control
dzeko's goal should have stood but nigeria's goal was normal, no foul
Will Vidal be back for Chile?
I stopped in a bar after a round of golf yesterday and saw my first World Cup action, U.S. vs. Portugal. What got my attention though was a contingent of young White guys decked out in patriotic gear and yelling, singing and generally going nuts during the game, ala the way much of the rest of the world passionately follows soccer.
My friend said he noticed more interest this year in the World Cup among co-workers. Do any Americans agree with that anecdotal evidence? I guess TV ratings would be a good indicator. It might be a good thing to see the U.S. less insular in the sports it follows -- particularly American football which is a very minor sport everywhere else except Canada -- and more in step with what White people around the world follow.
How good would France be if all French-Born Arab players opted to play for Les Bleus?
There's a reason the New Republic magazine is known as the Jew Republic though this article is written by a Lebanese Druze.
italy-uruguay will be an amazing match
italy will play with 2 strikers, so they admit that balotelli as main striker doesn't work
it will be much better for him, he will be able to shoot from long distance
we will be neutral in that game, and hoping that the team who will go throught can go far as long as they face non-white teams
Record ratings for ESPN:
their facts are not right
there was no talk about a 30% quota of african players
and there were 2 different discussions: 1 about how france needed to change the way they select young players because they train too many physical black players
and the other one about limiting the number of player with dual citizenship because you train them , they play for the youth teams, and then they go to another national team
it is this point that involved arab players, so it was not the racistone , and at the time the biggest examples of that were the whites perquis and obraniak who decided to play for poland
so the racism part of the scandal didn't involve arab players
and finally, they don't choose to play for algeria ahead of france, they chose algeria because they are not good enough to play for france
every body knows that playing for france would be better for their career because they would be considered the next zidane etc, and france is a more exposed national team
PS: PSG are not really interested in pogba
for his position they have verratti, motta, matuidi, cabaye etc
I'd have to agree with that, Don. In my co-workers and group of friends, I was the only one following it in 2010; now about 75% plus follow it with interest. I'd say the World Cup interest is a LOT bigger this year.
Very impressive numbers.
It does seem to have reached some kind of tipping point this time around as far as interest. Good to see, lots of mindless patriotism but that is the case in all countries where soccer is big. Sports is intimately tied in with nationalism, including on local and regional levels, and always will be.
for the americans who are interested in soccer, after the world cup, start watching some champions league, it's the best of soccer
and matches between big clubs of the big leagues (germany, spain, italy, england )
What's the breakdown for Uruguay?
To answer my own question, after finding some team photos, it looks like they start 8-9 whites.
I think the heavy politicization of the 2010 World Cup (ZOMG Africa's turn to shine! This is the Glorious First Step of the Dark Continent's Journey to Becoming Just Like Europe! Heil Mandela! F the Boer!) turned a lot of normal white people off. This year, it's much more about the soccer.
I predict US interest drops back off after the World Cup. It's like the Olympics. USA!! USA!! is fine for a couple of weeks, then back to the stuff people have been watching for generations. BSPN will push it some more because of mexicans and all, but I don't think the women you meant in accounting is going to follow the game when all the hoopla is over.
I have noticed in the last few games that a black substitute on a European team has come on, and then made an immediate impact by scoring a game-winning or tying goal. Divock Origi scored the winner for Belgium against Russia; Valera made a superb header to keep Portugal's slim hopes alive; Leroy Fer and Memphis Depay secured the Netherlands place atop its group.
White teams as a whole are having a horrid time. Mostly white Germany barely held off all-black Ghana, Argentina has been far from convincing, Australia, Spain, Croatia and Bosnia are also out -- soon to be followed by Russia and probably Greece. At the same time the diverse teams of Brazil, France and the Netherlands are now recognized as the favorites to win. Germany is the great white hope. However, after their performance against Ghana, I am not convinced that the Germans will win it. It should be noted that their defense became shakier, and they were eventually scored against after Jerome Boateng was substituted. And finally, Klinsmann's "Blermans" have definitely played a major role in the US's success.
You know what Xman, I know you are a troll, but everything you mention in your post is just about 100% factually accurate. I'm not going to sugar-coat it, this has been a dreadful tournament for white teams so far, while more mixed teams are doing better. And yes, overall Team USA has played decent futbol and the blacks on the team have made an impact. Also true, the two remaining white heavyweights Germany and Argentina did not look good in their last games.
I'm going wait until the final 16 teams and match-ups are set and go from there. A lot can and will happen between now and quarter/semi-finals.
Of course Jaxvid. It is the event of the moment. That is all. Myself, I do not follow it other than the world cup. Also, I would rather have a all hispanic team or majority win it all, rather than an affeletic team from dark africa or a twisted country like France. How the F did they spiral out of control in terms of the caste system in elite soccer?
yes, but i love how brazil is considered a favourite while argentina has been disappointing, according to him
i expected brazil to be much better than that
they are going to be easy to beat
they couldn't score against mexico, they were clearly inferior to croatia, everyone in front of their TV could see it, they were only saved by the refereeing
if you watched their match against cameroon, even the african team looked superior to them during the first half
argentina on the other hand has won their 2 games, they are obviously the team with the most chances to win the world cup
messi has been awesome so far and i think he's going to get even better
varela's "superb header" has been posted here and everyone could see that ronaldo's cross was what made this goal great
speaking of making an immediate impact for portugal, eder has been horrible
even in the media he was described as catastrophic
he's the number 1 reason why portugal is most likely out
about origi's goal, it's not like he replaced a white striker: he replaced lukaku, who has been horrible so far
this dude has touched the ball in the penalty area only once in 2 games, can you believe it?
before the world cup i saw him as a potential top scorer of the tournament because of the team he plays for, but actually he has scored 0 goals so far, lol
and origi's goal has also been posted here, it was a tap in after the white player hazard made all the work
i don't know how you can be so sure that russia will be eliminated, too
all they have to do is beat algeria and believe me it's not difficult
finally about france, they are already almost in the quarter finals, but it has nothing to do with the way they play, but with the teams they face
everyone knew that they wouldn't face any decent team until the quarter finals
hell, look at my post in the french soccer thread long time before the world cup:
notice that i didn't expect bosnia to finish ahead of nigeria
the only surprise was spain totally failing at this world cup
i knew they had weaknesses but i expected them to go pretty far because of their experience
other things he didn't mention:
-etoo's cameroon lose all their games for the second time in a row
-pepe with a dumb red card against germany is also responsible for portugal's failure at the world cup
-cavani has been useless in the game against costa rica
so was balotelli against costa rica
now italy will play with 2 strikers in the next game because he's not good enough
Yes,I think Prandelli has now,at least privately accepted that Balotelli isn't up to the required standard.I hope that Immobile scores and shuts a few jewish mouths.
Overall though,I'd prefer Uruguay to progress, even though Italy is whiter(even after including Balotelli),because everything good that comes from Italy will be because of Balotelli and Balotelli alone.
If,God forbid, they actually win the thing,Balotelli will be given the Ballon D' Or,even if he does F-all!
Even the thought is scary.
And to think that this guy is one of the most-sought strikers in the PL this year!
Even Atletico Madrid want him supposedly
Other things he didn't mention:
-The team with the blackest attacking line-up in Europe,England are out of the tournament.
-The muslim Nacer Chadli was a huge flop.
-Ozil and Khedira have been huge flops.
Funny you know, how this troll crept out from his rat hole to celebrate the misfortune of a few white teams, yet is nowhere is nowhere to be seen when I'm posting my gifs.:behindsofa:
