He's been with the team for 2 weeks, Minnesota dumbed the offense down considerably so he could play his first game. The receivers were opened up down field but as noted Freeman was overthrowing them by miles. This has nothing to do with Freeman not knowing the playbook.

Two weeks, that's like what, 1 hour for a white QB?

The point is, I felt Gruden was tough, even harsh, on Freeman and not making excuses for him. And it was refreshing to hear. JMHO

Hillis was stupendous last night (81 yards on 23 touches, 1 TD), especially considering the embarrassing dearth of blocking he was afforded against perhaps the best front seven in the NFL. The “Hillis Curse” has officially struck again and the “Juggernaut” who rushed for over 1,000-yards in 2010 (the first white man to do so since New England’s Craig James 25 years prior) showed flashes of his former invincibility.

He blocked very well on passing downs, he averaged 9 yards per reception (1 yard less per catch than Victor Cruz) out of the backfield, and he broke off some nice runs whenever afforded the slightest chance. The Giants should give Hillis more pitches, designed screen passes, runs over the tackles, and sweeps to get him in space more often.

It’s hard to believe what’s occurred over the past week for Hillis. I imagine he’s been humbled over the past three years and is desperate to regain his reputation for the little time he has left as an NFL player. Assuming he continues to be utilized in the fashion he was against the Vikings, I’d love to see the Giants win their remaining 10 games...

CAPTION: Hillis Signals to DWF's After TD

As Don mentioned, ESPN’s oh-so-serious post-game crew (Suzy Kolber, Ray Lewis, Trent Dilfer, and Steve Young) were experiencing deep lamentations whilst attempting to describe the great injustice that was instituted against Josh Freeman (or as they continually referred to him: “The Poor Kid”) in allowing him to start at QB a few weeks after being signed. Young and Dilfer were so passionate about the subject that each analyst respectively fought back Casteon tears of humiliation in a Steve Mariucci-like manner as Ray Lewis mumbled barely-intelligible platitudes like: “Maaan, it dun be too early for diz kid ta start fo duh Vikins” and “He’z just a young kid who be tryin ta get hiz head right afta bein cut by da Bucs jus a few weeks ago.” Naturally, there was no actual mention of Freeman's countless off-target throws to open receivers and TE's.

The next Afrocentric “topic” on this crew’s Hillis-free collection of scripted talking points was the “atrocity” of Adrian Peterson playing for a losing team [gentle sobbing]. This time, Dilfer and Young deferred to the perma-inarticulate “Ray-Ray,” who again yielded his verbal banalities of how, if he were placed in Peterson’s position, he’d have been “driven insane” by his team’s ineptitude. What a nice teammate, huh? I know I’ve shed many tears for Peterson’s plight. I mean, who wouldn’t feel sorry for that poor, unfortunate, corporate multi-millionaire and his little dead son (whelped out by a sewer-level mudshark prostitute/stripper that Peterson barely knew) that he didn’t support, hardly ever met, and lived in another state? Fortunately, like Ray Lewis, at least Peterson has several other illegitimate spawn to replace him. An injury to this counterfeit “good guy,” opening the door for Gerhart to earn a big contract from another team in 2014, would be a well-deserved punishment.

What happened to the Vikings that Peterson could go from one season almost setting the single season record for yards to one where he is so ineffective. I think they were making some excuses for him, something about sore hamstrings, but if he can't do any better then that then maybe they should rest him and go to his backup??

If the Hillis curse holds and he can continue to get carries then Hillis remains a valuable FF choice as he is sure to get the goal line carries no matter what and vulture a bunch of TD's at the least. With Woodhead being a TD scorer also, it makes the first legitimate White running back tandem for FF since the FF game became popular. Even more so perhaps then when Hillis was starring for Cleveland and Woodhead got some play with NE as his carries there were so unpredictable and less likely to result in TD's.

With Decker and Nelson top wideouts and a few others in the mix: Edelmen, Welker, Hartline, it is really possible to run an all White FF team with some success. Although the Denver/NE bye week would kill you.

The radio crew of Harlon and Boomer were fairly complimentary of Hillis. Peterson got the "sore hamstring" lines Supaman got the "4 days of practice" lines though. They did call out the Nicks character for phoning in some plays and even talked about moving him out of NY. Think how embarrassing it must be to sit in the same studio with a Ray Lewis and having to patronize idiot players as "kids?" Dilfer is an embarrassment to mankind not just whites.

I have run an all-white FF team for the last three years with modest success.........but this is the first week I can remember getting 25 points out of my two RB positions.........I had the highest score in the league and beat my opponent by 30 points...

Also, Jim Caldwell and Raheem Morris come to mind. In fact, it's widely accepted that Peyton Manning was more or less the coach during that time in Indy. Caldwell is the poster boy of clueless black NFL head coaches, who often times exhibited a particular look on his face on the sidelines that pretty much said he had no idea what was going on out there. We used to see that look from Lovie Smiff at times, and see it often from Tomlin and Frazier.
Frazier's headphones look like a movie prop. The pressure to win makes management panic and fire better coaches than their subsequent hire. I bet ownership would rather have the professor Brad Childress than a guy who looks like he is mentally drowning on the sidelines.

. Tannehill is one 3 interception game away from being labeled a "bust."

My biggest fear is that Tannehill turns into David Carr because Caste GM Jeff Ireland simply refuses to accept the fact that white offensive linemen are better. They recently brought in Bryant McKinnie to "help" with the teams offensive line woes. The reason being is because overrated sumo Jonathan Martin sucks so bad and is only one whiff away from getting Tannehill killed. Normally I would be pissed for bringing in another sumo such as McKinnie but I don't even care about this. He's only a stop gap and if this means the end of Jonathan Martin at left tackle, then I am happy

I was stunned that Hillis was given as many touches as he was last night. I was listening to some of the game on radio, and boy was Boomer Esiason in peak form. He lashed out at the Giants for running a draw play with someone as "slow" as Hillis, someone who is "the slowest at that position in the league." Well, Boomer, he's faster than Tubby Tolbert, Alfred Morris, the Law Firm and several others (including Arian Foster, if you go by 40 times). Somehow, I don't see you ever criticizing them for running draw plays.

This morning, I caught a bit of "First Take," and Skippy was belittling Hillis, saying, "I don't expect Peyton Hillis to lead a revival of the Giants." Both Skippy and Smiff were devastated over what had been done to poor, mistreated Freeman, in "allowing him to start when he wasn't ready." Let me know if you ever hear either one of these clowns, or any talking head for that matter, make excuses for any white QB, in any situation. Btw, Skippy remains a big fan of Freeman's, and still thinks he could be great.

And our friends at Rotoworld gave Hillis the Riley Cooper treatment. They called his effort "the ugliest 81 yards you will ever see," and demeaned him as "running around like an elephant with no movement in his hips." Yeah, it's that lack of hip movement thing again. Whether it's "Dancing With The Stars" or playing forbidden positions in the NFL, it seems to be a curse for "white boys."

Let's hope Jacobs doesn't heal fast, as well as Wilson. And most of all, Hillis needs to get it tip top shape, and make the most of this opportunity.

I too heard Boomer Esiason's demeaning and insulting comments about Hillis. Kevin Harlan the announcer metioned that Hillis had just joined the team. A few plays later however Hillis had his nice catch and run for a first down and Harlan at least was pretty impressed, comparing Hillis to Riggins.

The way they are making excuses for Freeman being a ****ty QB is both hilarious and frustrating because most DWFs are going to buy into all the bull****.

Freeman was a full-on laughingstock on Giants, Vikings, and Bucs message boards last night. It will be interesting to see if they turn against their own lying eyes over the next few days.

LOL. That reminds me so much of a sack by Justin Smith on Drew Brees.

You fantasy football players should be playing in one of CF's long-standing leagues against fellow CFers. We could probably even start up a third league given how many here seem to play ff.

Freeman being handed the starting job next week too. Ponder needs to demand a trade - that organization is insulting him.

Those chumps from Roto(rooter)World could not beat their way out of a wet paper bag!

Strange how 75-80% of NFL's Starting Defenses are not white...yet 3 of the Top 4 NFL Leading Tacklers (2nd)Sean Lee, (3rd)Kiko Alonso & (4th) Paul Posluzsny are......

Peterson only had 28 yards rushing on 13 carries...Gerhart not even worthy of a few token carries?? He needs to punch his coach in the mouth! The Freeman experiment reeks!

Give Hillis a few more weeks...what can they expect fresh off the street?? Had Eli hit him in 1st Half WIDE-OPEN...He would have had 6 rec for 60+ yards easily!

Study: NFL gets A grade for racial hiring
http://sports.yahoo.com/news/study-nfl-gets-grade-racial-171202690--nfl.html

The NFL received its fourth consecutive A grade for its racial hiring practices amid concerns over a significant drop in minority head coaches this season.

The league also drew a C+ for gender hiring practices in the annual report by The Institute for Diversity and Ethics in Sport released Tuesday.

Jeez, either every response is posted by member of this site or it was linked to Drudge or something.

Wow......there are more racially aware people than I thought........the comments are amazing and I felt like I was reading Caste Football. On NFL.com the comments to the same story have been deleted.......one convert at a time...

I would hate to play FF against fellow CFers......we would be going after the same players. I much prefer playing against DWFs who allow me to have Welker, Jordy, Decker, Gronk on my team....and then I kick their asses......LOL

Interesting comments in that article!

Also interesting the end of the article states " On the field, the percentage of African-American players decreased slightly from 66.6 percent in 2011 to 66.3 percent last season."

With more white WR's emerging than in year's past...one has to wonder if behind the scenes...the new crop of rookie WR's had no choice but to be shown the door to keep the other numbers status quo. Like Conner Vernon, Brandon Kaufman, Ryan Swope(concussion took care of that), Ryan Spadola, etc...
