New England makes a great move here... hopefully Sam will get his chance to make an impact with the Patriots!!

From Rotoworld:

Patriots signed WR Greg Orton, C Braxton Cave, OT Jordan Devey, WR Reggie Dunn, OG R.J. Mattes, RB Sam McGuffie and LB Taylor Reed to reserve/future contracts.
A fourth-year undrafted free agent, Orton made waves in the Broncos' offseason program last season, but went down on August 3 with a high-ankle sprain. He was waived/injured soon after. Already 27, 2014 figures to be Orton's last chance to crack a 53-man roster.

Tom Brady also vouches for New England to resign Julian Edelman:

From Rotoworld:

Tom Brady is already stumping for the Patriots to re-sign free agent Julian Edelman.
Edelman, 27, set career highs in catches (105), yards (1,056), and touchdowns (6) this season, emerging as New England's best receiver both inside and out. "He had an incredible season," said Brady. "... I mean, he was one guy that was so consistent and dependable for us." Edelman is Rotoworld's No. 4 free agent receiver, behind Eric Decker, Jeremy Maclin, and Hakeem Nicks.

Even Rotoworld has to admit that Decker is #1!

I really hope the Pats re-sign Edelman. He's just such a stud, so reliable and quick. Plus Brady already lost his favorite receiver from last year (Welker), I'd hate to see him develop all this chemistry with Edelman and then lose him too.

Edelman when healthy is a major talent. This year he proved it. Like some honest MSM, he is a threat on the inside and outside. Loved watching him this past year burn or break affelets ankles.
