Bowe is also overweight, has alligator arms, is afraid to go over the middle for a catch, and has a bad attitude and an on-again off-again motor. Other than that he's a helluva talent.

I think this guy you mention is the Tim Carter or Koren Robinson of DTs. These Afroletes just keep getting recycled back into the NFL. Out of the NFL for 5 years? Pathetic! He's probably as overweight as Mark Mangino as well!

That's a funny KC Star report! But typical of a paper that features "afrocentric" reporters like Jason Whitlock. McGraw is an absolute stud, and is so much better at studying the opponents than Page (who isn't half bad physically, but guesses a lot) it's not close. And he's the special teams captain. Oh, the DT the Chiefs signed is an old Saints guy, Kenny Smith,who tried out for the Patriots (who would have guessed) the last couple of years, yet was too feeble to crack even the Patriots practice squad.
so he tackles better, doesn't commit stupid mistakes or costly penalties and is overall a better player. well the other guy can go to the olympics and leave football to real football players for all i care. i always liked McGraw and i hope he can really come into his own and start consistently without being jerked around.

i've spoken with the guys over at Draft Daddy in the past about Jon McGraw, and they have always felt he should be a cornerback in the League. he ran a 4.3 coming out of college, and his slender build combined with his physical, sure-tacklingstyle of play at safety has combined to cause several injuries to him over the years.
saying McGraw, who could outrun the majority of starting corners in the NFL, isn't "as physically gifted as Page" is laughable. he has played out of position his entire pro career, which is a testament to his versatility, yet "somehow" he still isn'tgood. that's typical caste "logic."

Lance Long has been signed to active roster. Hopefully he sticks. His signing marks an impressive string of white receivers getting back on rosters this year, Amendola, Woodhead, Standiford and now Long. On the flip side of course is the fact that so many have been injured, Gonzalez, Curtis, Miller with Raiders, now Edelman and Nelson, Bennett (gone for good of course), and the ongoing Matt Jones saga.

Add to that Andrew Means going undrafted (but at least he's got baseball) and the Mike Hass saga. The one that pisses me off the most though is Eric Peterman being cut by the Bears. This guy was far and away the best WR cut AND the best WR to go undrafted this year! I can live with a white WR being cut if he's a 4th or 5th string type. However, Peterman is a STARTING caliber guy- who can play the X-Z roles and can also return kicks. He's got a mix of Donald Driver, Jordan Shipley and Wes Welker in him. BTW, there are 20 white WRs on NFL rosters now. This adds up to about .63 white wideouts per team. If the average team carries slightly over 5 WRs this means about 12% of NFL WRs are now white. Still way too low, but it's improving a little.

The grammar was just something I felt should be mentioned.  The lack of respect for any white coaches is what I can't stand.
C'mon guys, quit being racist. Larry Johnson has a sparkling 2.7 yards per rush average this season and has been used as the Chief's workhorse back every game. He has every right to slam the coaches for treating him so poorly! Next thing you know, you racists will be claiming that there's a white running back somewhere in the U.S. who can average better than 2.7 yards per rush in the NFL. What the hell's wrong with you? Get with the program.

Lance had a good game, before he got wacked. He played the slot, and was always open. His first shot at a ball was a long pass down the right sideline, where he had a couple of steps on the afflete cornerback (how can that be?!!), but the ball was poorly thrown to the outside. He almost made a spectacular catch for a touchdown (it was initially ruled a score), but replays showed that the ground "helped" with the catch. Of course, he was always open, but Cassel was having a miserable day. Oh, D. Bowe dropped 4 balls that I saw, one when he was WIDE OPEN and it hit him right in the numbers. McGraw had a decent game at safety, even a nice tackle for a loss on Tomlinson. A sports quack on the station in town, 810 AM, was having a meltdown after the game commenting that McGraw was terrible and they needed to have someone "athletic" playing that position! He also had words about Long being the "go to" receiver. Why not? He was always open.

This is the take on Jon McGraw, wow! "The group has gotten a lot of mileage out of S Jon McGraw. Potentially the new starter at free safety, McGraw has really stepped up. He's a valuable asset to a team with the ability to play on special teams, and virtually any position asked of him at a high level. I did see McGraw get back pedalled by a ball runner, taken out of position and not allow anyone to catch the runner from any other angle, I'm suprised he did not get yanked for the play. Of course this happens to athletes all day on Sunday, but he does have that skin condition which must be closely monitored by the casteletes.
