Christophe Lemaitre "White Lightning" 9.92 and 19.80!

True, but even the shorter sprinters are built this way. You can be 6'5 or 5'6" and have long legs/short torso or vice versa. Green and Gay are long legged. Though, this theory does not explain Michael Johnson's succes with a long trunk and short legs. I believe it has more to training to ones...

Christophe Lemaitre "White Lightning" 9.92 and 19.80!

Exactly....techniquecould be improved a little, but explosivestrengthis what he needs. this is what will help his first 30 meters, help to reacha high speed earlier in the race and maintain it throughout.<div> </div><div>He started an intense weightliftingprogram this pastwinterand it will take...

Christophe Lemaitre "White Lightning" 9.92 and 19.80!

Another sub 10 is fantastic! Never expected him to beat Powellespeciallyon this track that Powell always does well.<div> </div><div>Christophe is still young, underdeveloped. His first 30 meters will improve as hisstrengthto body weight ratio increases. The 1st 30 meters is more due...

Christophe Lemaitre "White Lightning" 9.92 and 19.80!

with those long legs and new found and developing strength to run a very decent time against a strong wind/wet track in the 200 this past day - the 400, yes! he could be decent in the long jump.though both are somewhat related, sprinters don't make the best best jumpers as jumpers don't make the...

Christophe Lemaitre "White Lightning" 9.92 and 19.80!

I disagree...no one knows of lemaitre's potential. Bolt would need to run 19.5 and less. Let's wait it out and see what happens. The 19.19 won't be broken for another 20 to 30 years but not sure if bolt can repeat that. Ya never know

Christophe Lemaitre "White Lightning" 9.92 and 19.80!

Wow! On the 200. He is sub 20 form. There is a reason why he believes he can battle for gold in the 200 next year in London. Menea's record will fall soon.

"Rocket" Ramil Guliyev 9.97 and 19.76 (World Champion 2017 over 200 meters)

Guliyev straightens up to quick and his stride is short and quick. I mentioned this before, he almost has a similar style of running to Michael Johnson. His body structure seems to be closer to Johnson in having a longer torso and shorter legs, where Lemaitre is longer legged with a shorter...

"Rocket" Ramil Guliyev 9.97 and 19.76 (World Champion 2017 over 200 meters)

maybe a scholarship to a top track and field american university would help him develop his natural talent

    Jamaican Sprinting.

I have no problem on what you say, in fact i dont think Bolt is on any ped; he is just a freak of nature with a natural long effortless stride with turnover to match. It is simplephysicswhy he can run so fast. On the other hand, Mullings, Carter and Yohan have something to hide.

Christophe Lemaitre "White Lightning" 9.92 and 19.80!

I watched the race, and if you look closely, Blake seems to be running with much better form, Christophe still rocks his shoulder side to side, his form is still a little off. Amazing what this guy can do when he perfects his form and achieves elitestrengthlevel. He will be a serious threat..and...

Christophe Lemaitre "White Lightning" 9.92 and 19.80!

Bravo! He is progressing the way one should. For him To get to the low 9.9's he needs to run Alot of races. His new muscle/strength needs to sync with his natural speed. Once that happens I seriously see a dominating performance, top 3. he is consistent and I see a very fast 200 real soon

Christophe Lemaitre "White Lightning" 9.92 and 19.80!

I think he will get close to 19.80 and maybe under. For him to come out confident g for Olympic gold in the 200 meters (against Bolt and Gay) shows that most likely in practice runs he isrunningvery fast 200 times with minimal effort. Hisconfidenceseems to be in the 200 not the 100.

Christophe Lemaitre "White Lightning" 9.92 and 19.80!

Im not sure. I am probably the only one here thatbelievesBolt, Gay, and Powell are not on any sort of performanceenhancements. But as far as Mullings, and Rodgers (who is not a sub 9.9 sprinter)Somethingis up. Mullings and Rodgers time at Eugene makes no sense whatsoever and he (Mullings) has...

Christophe Lemaitre "White Lightning" 9.92 and 19.80!

Agreed. I can see Bolt or Gay run 9.80 not Mullings or Rodgers, sorry, I am not convinced. Also, Ashmead runs sub 20 and 10 after an average year at best. Something is not right.

Christophe Lemaitre "White Lightning" 9.92 and 19.80!

So Mullings runs a 9.80 and mike Rodgers 9.85 with 1.3 wind???? Christophe will need a lot of work. I don't get it. Tyson gay 9.79 and another Jamaican runs 9.96??? Wtf

Christophe Lemaitre "White Lightning" 9.92 and 19.80!

I agree...9.93 - 9.95 this year; i do think he will easily break 20 in the 200 this year. Christophe needs a good solid 2 yrs of purestrengthtraining while maintaining hisweightwithin 5 - 10 pounds. Once hisstrengthto body weight ratio is at a elite level, he will be one of the greats.

"Rocket" Ramil Guliyev 9.97 and 19.76 (World Champion 2017 over 200 meters)

Fantastic! Ramil reminds me of michael Johnson when running the 200, has the short, high turnover. a race between him and Christophe in the 200 would be exciting.

Christophe Lemaitre "White Lightning" 9.92 and 19.80!

Christophe may run 9.93 - 9.95 this season but I dont see him going under that. Less than a year of weighttrainingis not going to bring him to the 9.8 range. it takes a good 2-4 years of intense work to get to that level. He is still young and it takes a while for the body to adapt to heavy...

Christophe Lemaitre "White Lightning" 9.92 and 19.80!

In regards to Blake's 9.80....I mustcommendthat his form was near perfect. Right out of the blocks, in front to the finish.<div> </div><div>Is he faster than Lemaitre? No, i thinktheirtop speed is similar. the difference (probably due to the magic yams) is thestrength. the Jamaicans, these guys...

Christophe Lemaitre "White Lightning" 9.92 and 19.80!

I think so, in 3-4 years when he peaks. He is still very young for a sprinter and not at a full adult build. 23-26 is when he will peak.

Wariner is back and may threaten 43.19!

Wariner ran 20.71 200 meters in his first outdoor race of the season. If he stays healthy he may get very close to the WR in the 400 this year.

Christophe Lemaitre "White Lightning" 9.92 and 19.80!

Correct, and everyone forgets he is still only 20 YEARS OF AGE! He is 2-5 years away from his peak. Gay, Powell, even Bolt did not run sub 10 at age 20! Christophe is built for sprinting and his awkward 'still not matured' body is starting to slowly get used to the training and his natural...

Christophe Lemaitre "White Lightning" 9.92 and 19.80!

Strength training is a must but has to be incorporated slowly. i think Christophe went all out in too short of time in regards to strength training. He is still not healed. The body takes time to adapt to intense new training. Remember what I said in my last post - Christophe is only 20 and...

Christophe Lemaitre "White Lightning" 9.92 and 19.80!

I hope all you realize that he is still only 20 years of age and 3-5 years away from peaking. If he stays confident he will surprise the world.
