black quarterback Michael Penix Jr transferred out. The heir is likely to be Missouri transfer Connor Bazelak or former Utah QB Jack Tuttle. Junior TE AJ Barner should have a huge season with the departure of Peyton Hendershot; one article says it wouldn't be surprising for Barner to lead the team in receptions.
DT JH Tevis transferred over from Cal and should be one to watch.
Former Indiana Mr. Football Charlie Spegal is buried on the depth chart at RB, he had 19 carries for 62 yards last year, but is buried behind numerous transfers at RB. Hopefully he can find a way to break through.
