It's working now, I haven't gotten a reply yet as to whether the cause has been found and corrected. If it starts going down again, know that it's being worked on. It does seem to still be funky.

I can hardly navigate the site because it’s loading so slow. Took me 5 min to get to making this reply. I don’t know how much fixing the site would cost but I’d probably be willing to donate

These issues are almost always temporary problems that can be corrected without costly fixes, as I think was the case here as it appears to be working fine now.

Yes sir. It's been a bumpy ride like offroading in a 4 x 4. That's what makes us enjoy setting up the campground again and sitting around the fire as we talk about everything with our culture from sports to entertainment to politics and life. :)

Don, any way you can reach out to someone to troubleshoot the cookie/login issues as well as having a banned IP when trying to use a VPN or Tor Browser? It has been impacting me and @TwentyTwo

I prefer using browsers like Brave, Opera, Tor rather than Chrome/Firefox. I've also turned on cookies for the site and still run into issues. Just wanted to make you aware.

I'll try, though I'm not sure exactly what the issues are, if they're related, and how commonly they occur.

Can you explain what happens when you can't log in? And what is the cookies issue as best you can detail it? To get it worked on I need to be able to explain the issues as best I can.

I'll try to capture a screenshot of the cookie issue. I did just have an issue where I attempted to login several times and the page would just load again without signing me in. I had been logged on using the Brave browser and had the stay logged in option selected and the site still logged me out.

If you can send me a screenshot that should be helpful. It could be that it's time for a Xenforo upgrade, we're still using the same version since it was installed in early 2016.

I either have to log in each time or completely close out browsers and launch it new... and when I do that it shows me still logged in even though the other browser says I need to log in. Weird.

Don, you might want to reach out to the site admin regarding the login issue. Ask them to review the logs. I am still experiencing the issue intermittently even when using Phall's work around with using Incoginito mode. It's quite annoying, a little frustrating and might be the reason for less site traffic and posts if others are having the same issue and unable to login.

I think the best solution for most is to check the box to stay logged in all the time. The cookies know it's you when you come to the site. Why log in and out for a sports message board. Hope they can get it resolved but that is my advice.

I do that and still experience issues. I notice the site says not secure so I manually typed in https://www.castefootball.us this morning on my pc and it did work. I still think the issue is with the site itself as many users are reporting issues.

I get repeatedly logged out from the site. It’s annoying, but it just takes a couple of thumb taps to log back in. I’m using an iPhone with the login info saved.

Last I knew I'm the site admin. I'll be talking to my webmaster soon and one of the things we'll discuss is updating the site software. But that will cost money as far as the software and labor involved. I haven't asked for any donations since we switched to Xenforo in January of 2016 but I'll need some help if it's going to be updated and the issues resolved.

Ask the webmaster if there is an issue with the SSL certificate or if it has expired. That may be the underlying cause.

I'll be having CF updated and moved to a new host. Don't know how long it'll take, will keep you posted. There may be some downtime while this is done but anything's better than what we've been dealing with. Thanks for your patience.

There's still a ways to go as far as moving the site and updating the software, but we'll try to keep the down time to a minimum. The current host's tech support is in India and they unexpectedly took it offline yesterday, so the first step was just figuring out how to get CF back online before the other things can be done. After it's moved and updated there might still be some glitches initially but they can be fixed. The next host will be a big improvement over the current one and I have a very good webmaster who's now working on what needs to be done.
