You are probably right Warhawk. Darnold is a decent Qb and the Panthers have always had a pretty pathetic line since McCaffrey came into the league. Some better run blockers would be of some help. christian M. has been my favorite athlete since I saw him in high school. As we all know the shelf life of an NFL rb is not great so I am not going to expect CM to be around for another 8 years as his prime is probably for another 3-4 years. I wonder if all the wear and tear at Stanford those last two years has come back to bite McCaffrey as I recall none of his injuries were the last 2 years were not caused by a big hit or huge contact then again lots of players go down ( think OBJ ) with no contact whatsoever. I think the Panthers go with Pickett as their future does not revolve totally around CMAC and trying to improve the overall quality of the team.

I’m guessing that they take Pickett with the 6th pick and neglect their offensive line. Remember Caste-whore Ruhle just had an all-defense draft a couple years back which is not only asinine but irresponsible as anyone who plays/played football knows games are won and lost along the offensive line. If I were the GM, I would see see what type of offers I could get for #6 and take 2-3 linemen in the first couple rounds. And then a viable receiving TE is paramount for a QB. CMC cannot continue to be the only safety valve.

How great would it be for the Panthers to shore up on offensive lineman and then add WR Alec Pierce? Guaranteed those two things will be absolutely critical in ensuring defense don’t focus all they have got on stopping CMC.

So the Panthers didn’t draft Pierce, but if they were going to pick a sumo I’m glad they picked the road-grader they did. Shoring up the offensive line will only help CMC. He cannot continue to get hit in the backfield all the time... give the man a little bit of space and he makes things happen. My prediction is 1,435 rushing yards, 12 TDs, 65 receptions for 630 yards (would be nice to see a wheel route versus the constant 2 yard passes he gets) and another 4 TDs.

Bottom line: a strong bounce-back season.

As long as he isnt hit in the backfield as soon as he touches the ball CM is better than anyone in the NFL at making things happen....get him into open field and he is a DB's worst nightmare...

Not too shabby for a quarterback who is constantly demonized:

Carolina Panthers QB Sam Darnold threw a catchable ball on 87.8 percent of his passes in 2021, according to Sports Info Solutions. That was the second-best mark in the league for any quarterback with more than 200 drop-backs.

Panthers signed DE Henry Anderson. A rare team with two white DL.

Rooting for Mayfield to have a big year along with CMC staying on the field and healthy. Mayfield is easily the 2nd best QB in the conference.

You know guys it's kind of ironic. That many of the rare times we see white running backs in college or in the nfl, they are paired
with black quarterbacks. It's almost like the leagues say we will give you this if you give us that. Strange but Cmac has
played with Cam Newton and Teddy Bridgewater. Neither of them is better than an average qb. Maybe Cam briefly early on
in his career but then he regressed badly like so many dual threat qb's do. That's because alot of this guys are better runners than
passers and father time takes it's toll very quickly in the NFL with the hits and sacks they take.

So I'm very excited to see Cmac has a pro bowl caliber qb in Baker Mayfield. I don't like his politics but the kid can play and that's what
Cmac needs to help keep the defense honest. I see a 1200 yard season barring injuries and the Panthers making the playoffs.

I will be attending the game tomorrow. Although I've been to a few Panther games in the past, I have never seen CMAC live. I hope the OL can open some holes and Mayfield to play well. I'm looking forward to the tailgating/food and fun. I won't be able to post until I return home.

I’m very excited for you, Carolina Speed. I truly think CMC is in for a pretty good game, Mayfield as well!

Thanks, Warhawk, but the game was very disappointing. I hate to say it but the best thing about going was the tail gaiting. The Browns brought a lot fans and the ones I met were generally cordial and nice. Nick Chubb performed well, and the Browns used him as they should have. maybe if the Panthers would've used CMAC in the first half, the outcome may have been different. CMAC touched the ball 3 times in the first half. At one point as the first half was ending, I looked at my wife and said " We missed Church and Sunday School for this."
We ended up leaving towards the end of the third quarter and naturally the Panthers mounted a comeback, but obviously it wasn't enough.
Don't know when and if I'll attend another game anytime soon.

That coach they have is horrible - a definite downgrade from the last one (and honestly Rivera wasn’t great), he needs to go. There is zero excuse for only have McCaffrey touch the ball three times in the half. Unacceptable.

I agree with both of you guys. Cmac has to be involved in the game plan. He is the mvp on the team outside of the quarterback. He can
beat you through running or receiving. The Game Plan was childlike and the results showed. Let's hope it changes next week. Sorry it
wasn't a better game for you and your wife CarolinaSpeed.

Not that it matters, but I made a mistake. CMAC touched the ball four times in the first half. He had 1 yard TD run near the end of the first half.. So, I believe it was 3 carries for 7 yards and 1 reception for -6 in the first half.

Looks like Carolina has hired Frank Reich as their next head coach. I’m aware he was with the Colts but not savvy on his caste record.

I thought for sure Carolina would stick with Wilks. I imagine the woke crowd is all upset.

Yeah, I’m sure a lawsuit will be filed alleging discrimination based on race.

So from what I have read, Reich is the first offensive-minded coach in Carolina’s history. So they had the preeminent back in the league and never thought to hire a coach who could elevate the offense… makes sense the National Fools League.

In todays anti white world it's suprising he gets that high a job in an african majority sport due to his last name. Some normies
would say he must have ties to nazi germany. That's how brain dead most dwf's are these days.

Amazing that CMac was so good despite suffering on such terrible offensive coaching staffs. Glad he’s finally able to thrive in a system that makes its players better.

I read that the negro coach’s lawyers are reading a lawsuit. After all, this is the next Vince Lombardi for coaching a team of professionals to a .500 record for 3/4 of a year. I mean it has to be discrimination for them not to want to tie their franchise to this guy for the next 5 years!

The Panthers give up an absurd amount of draft capital along with one of the better receivers in the league in order to move up just eight spots to pick a Black QB who more than likely will disappoint. Another sadsack franchise hopelessly addicted to hard-core Caste foolishness:

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports the Panthers acquired the No. 1 overall pick from the Bears in exchange for D.J. Moore, the No. 9 overall pick, a 2023 second-round pick, a 2024 first-round pick, and a 2025 second-round pick.

The move gives Frank Reich the chance to handpick the next face of Carolina's franchise. He was a sound offensive coach in Indianaoplis but never figured out the most position in football, cycling through Jacoby Brissett, Phillip Rivers, Carson Wentz, and Matt Ryan following Andrew Luck's retirement. Most draft pundits have Alabama's Bryce Young as the top quarterback prospect in the draft, but Ohio State's C.J. Stroud and Florida's Anthony Richardson will be options for the Panthers. For Chicago, the move fills their extreme need at receiver and allows them to add more talent on either side of the ball.

That's pretty humorous. I am sure they will be targeting a quota with their first pick. I would think teams would want to look for the next Brock Purdy, not the next Trey Lance but the NFL makes no sense to someone with a rational mind.

There’s no sure fire QB like Trevor Lawrence or Joe Burrow. The Panthers will look stupid, just like the 49ers who traded up to take their upsider bust.

The three black qbs in this draft have immeasurable "upside" though. You can't quantify it!!!!!!

There isn't one "lock" in this draft to mortgage your future on either the wooden Stroud, the wafish munchkin or Oafdale 2 is a joke but if the new Carolina owner is going to be Dan Snyder II then this will be par for the course. I fully expect Teper to informally adopt whomever is drafted with the first pick of the 23' draft.

The NFL is more parody than anything else if you ask me. Goodell's clownshow super bowl press conference cemented that. I didn't follow football as closely back in 1999 as a teenager so I wonder how the hype of this year's black quarterback class compares to 1999. Historically that is what I am comparing them to as that was the last class to have three black QBs drafted in round 1. It would be an interesting case study to see how history repeats itself and the media polishes up the exact same storylines but puts a modern "spin" on them.

I remember this well as that class was going to revolutionize the game or so the spin was at the time. But if you look at the style of McNabb and Culpepper it was closer to various White star players than say RGIII or Toucan ever were. I didn't reference Smith as he was so bad he didn't have a style beyond being on lowlight reels of being sacked(back when linemen could still wallop the qb's) and throwing pick 6's like he was the best horse race handicapper since Andy Beyer....
