Purdue looks to start 9 this season. I could get easily see them make a jump up to 11 if LB Yanni Karlaftis and DE/DT Jack Sullivan play themselves in to starting roles, like I expect to happen. This team is all about Zander Horvath on Offense though! Let's go! 1K season on the way! George Karlaftis is a STUD (1st Rd pick!)Edge player and his younger brother is in the same mold!

OFFENSE

QB Aidan O'Connell 6'3 200 Rsr.

RB Zander Horvath 6'3 230 RSr.

Slot Jackson Anthrop 5'11 190 RSr.

LG Tyler Witt 6'2 300 RSr.

C Gus Hartwig 6'5 305 So.

RG Cam Craig 6'5 305 So.

RT Eric Miller 6'7 305 Jr.

TE Payne Durham 6'5 255 Jr.

Backups: QB Jack Plummer(toss up between him and O'Connell)
TE Garrett Miller, Snowplow OL,

DEFENSE

DE George Karlaftis 6'4 275

Backups: SS Ryan Brandt, LB Yanni Karlaftis, Jacob Wahlberg, and DE/DT Jack Sullivan 6'5 275 .

George Karlaftis is a stud and projects to the first round. I didn't know he had a brother, though. Winning the recruitment battle for George looks like it paid double dividends.

Zander Horvath is the main reason to tune in. Here's hoping he puts up some big numbers!

Zander Horvath is a modern day Mike Alstott. Amazing talent. He also reminds me alot of Ryan Nall. What a crime why happened to Nall in the NFL. I hope Horvath is treated
better when he get to play on Sundays in a few years.

Horvath was alot of fun to watch last year. Looking forward to the Boilermakers in 2021. Surprised to see Anthrop still around - he might make a solid underneath target with Moore no longer at Purdue.

Purdue faces Iowa this week. Horvath not ready to return. Hopefully he is back healthy after the Iowa game to finish the season strong.

It looks like Horvath’s backup is averaging 4.6 ypc which is below Zanders career average. Hopefully he will get his starting spot back because Doreue isn’t setting the world on fire.

Easy choice for George. He lived up to his high profile, and Purdue took a couple big scalps this season.

His little brother Yanni was a freshman this season after being a top-200 linebacker recruit. Apparently Yanni was some sort of youth judo world champion in Greece and took up football in high school as the local "sport of aggression." Nice article about the family here.
