Yes indeed Jimmy C! Thanks for starting Week 12 thread! Season is flying by as usual! Mid November already!

Jack Sorenson (Nations 7th Leading Receiver 109.8 yards avg per game) vs Washington Huskies Transfer Austin Osborne (just made a 20 yard catch) under the radar a bit ; still waiting for BREAK OUT game with his New team Bowling Green.
Also as Red Raider pointed out in DB thread ...maybe the Largest Safety tandem in all the land! Miami's Sterling Weatherford ( 6'-4" 215 & & Matt Salopek 6'-1" 215)

Carson Steele & Ball State plays tomorrow night. Back up RB Will Jones is over due to break a long run too!

NIU WR Cole Tucker had 6-103 - TD last week plays tomorrow night

Michigan St - Ohio St - If the Spartans win this one they should leapfrog Ohio St and knock the Buckeyes out of the college football playoff conversation. It could be a Heisman moment type game for Kenneth Walker (I feel he should be the Heisman frontrunner this season).

Wake Forest - Clemson - A win for Wake Forest here would be a big statement game in the ACC. I think they are on the outside looking in at this point to the playoff. This game should actually be pretty enjoyable to watch. Hartman has been a breakout player this season.

Iowa St - Oklahoma - Iowa St has underperformed when compared against the preseason expectations but still have a shot to defeat Oklahoma. Oklahoma is thankfully out of the college football playoff conversation.

Florida St - Boston College - This game is really only interesting because of Phil Jurkovec who should be one of the top rated QBs in the nation next year assuming he returns (which he should).

Purdue - Northwestern - The Wildcats are in the midst of a lost season. Purdue has a chance to finish the season strong with two straight victories - It would be nice to see Horvath and Anthrop heavily featured.

Illinois - Iowa - Rooting for Iowa to hit the 10 win mark and hopefully find some semblance of an offense going into bowl season.

SMU - Cincinnati - The Mustangs could push the Bearcats out of the college football playoff conversation with a win here. Mordecai needs to find his early season form - rooting for the upset here.

Nebraska - Wisconsin - The Huskers face Wisconsin and Iowa in back to back weeks. Ideally these are the last two games Adrian Martinez is under center for the Cornhuskers. The Badgers defense is right up there with UGA as the best in the country (Iowa as well). The Badgers defense is fun to watch and Mertz has improved in the last two games.

Virginia - Pittsburgh - If Brennan Armstrong is healthy this should be a highly entertaining game and a shootout with Kenny Pickett. Rooting for Pickett to continue his strong play - he's needed as a 1st rounder in 2022.

Oregon - Utah - The Utes can knock Oregon out of the playoff which would be good from a caste perspective.

Va Tech - Miami - Just want to see how Tyler Van Dyke does - he's been the most pleasant surprise of this year's college football season.

Early in the third quarter. Samson Evans had 4 straight runs and gained 25 yards a looong time ago (early second quarter)....nothing since....One of the other backs ended up getting big chunks and left SE on pine duty.

Sorenson one of the great stories of the season! Over 1200 yards on the year!

I know we have been keeping track of him here for a while now, but safe to say he's exceeded expectations!

BOOOM! Right on time Bucky! You were QUICK! Only a matter of time Sorenson with the big play TD from 83 Yards!

NICE write up Leonardfan!
Agreed on RB Walker for Michigan State
Glad to see QB Jurkovec back in the line up @ BC!
Waiting for Utah Swiss Army Knife Britian Covey to Explode!
Is Illinois RB Mike Epstein done for the season? Crap!

Not sure if UVA QB Armstrong will be ready?? He sure is a difference maker!

He has really taken it to the next level. I wonder if he stays for another year due to covid??

Thanks! Epstein was knocked out early in the season - my guess is he is done - a promising career derailed by injuries. Armstrong is probably the most valuable player to their team - he has really exploded this year. Looking forward to his 2022 season already. Should be one of the preseason Heisman hopefuls next year (it's pure BS he was never mentioned this season).

Walker should win the Heisman over either of the system black quarterbacks for Alabama or Ohio St.

This is Sorenson's extra covid year so he’s going to have to go to the NFL after this season. Hard to believe it’s his 6th year but we’ve been talking about him forever!

just a random thing i noticed before tonight’s Maction game between Ball State and Central Michigan ...

10 games into the season, and Carson Steele still doesn’t have a photo on his espn stats page. the only other athletes that i’ve seen like that are service academy players. strange.

at any rate, good luck to the young tailback tonight.

edited for: Steele plays for Ball State not Miami (OH).

The Man of Steele already has a touchdown on a 9 yard run in the first quarter. :)

It's early 2nd Quarter in the Ball State vs Central Michigan Game. Carson Steele is putting on a show already. He has 8 rushes for 59 yards and 1 reception for 31 yards!
We have a long ways to go. One thing is very evident here. This kid is way to good to be playing in the MAC. No disrespect to alot of the other players in this conference
but his talent is a notch above. If only we had recruiting based on skill and not based on skin color. This kid is amazing!

Your right about the picture missing. How does that happen to Balls States Best Player? A few other think I noticed regarding this very talented young running back. Both
Central Michigan and Ball State have star freshman running backs. The announcers have talked way more about Lew Nichols III. They go on and on how he is already NFL
Ready right now and has that NFL Look about him. Yet espn doesn't say the same thing about Carson Steele! Both of these guys are very talented and both of these guys
should be being spoken about in the same breath. Total yards rushing & receiving for the running backs at the half are.

Carson Steele 15 rushes for 84 yards
3 receptions for 44 yards for 128 total yards at the half.

Lew Nichols III 12 rushes for 131 yards
1 reception for 17 yards for 148 total yards at the half.

So both guys had a fantastic first half yet ESPN.com talks constantly about Nichols III and not Steele. This is what you call holding down our guys. They
do this in recruiting and in all aspects of life. A non bias announcer would state that both of these rb's are NFL Ready.

Now one last thing. In ths stats on the espn.com stats page. Look at how far down they put Carson Steele. They have 4 guys ahead of him on the stat line. Very
weird indeed. Something not normal is at play here. I call it racism against our guys by design in my opinion.

i would like to see a yards-after-contact stat, because Central Michigan’s offensive line is opening GAPING holes to run through. taking away nothing from CMU’s running black Nichols, but their backup is also picking up BIG chunks.

conversely, Steele is regularly getting hit in the backfield. Ball State’s o-line has been decimated with injuries this season (missing three starters tonight), and it shows by the performance of the backups who are being thrust into playing a larger role than they’re ready for.

Maybe Big Brother is watching and monitoring here. Just minutes after I said this in this post the box score vanished and now there is no box score available.

Now 5 minutes later it's back and they fixed their error. Thanks ESPN.com We appreciate
you fixing that mistake. :) It took long enough. Now it's a normal box score.

Carson Steele finished with 93 yards off 20 carries. Would've been nice to see him get 100+. It would be awesome to see Steele ball out against Buffalo and finish with 220+ rushing yards, which would give him 1000+ rushing yards for the season.
