CB Malcom Butler is contemplating retirement. I think most of us here can appreciate what Malcom Butler did when he intercepted Russell Wilson at the goal line to seal Super Bowl XLIX for the Patriots. I hope he does end up retiring - it would leave a big hole in the Cardinals secondary.

Zach Ertz was traded to the Cardinals. Arizona annually uses the tight end as little as any team in the league so we'll have to see how it works out for Ertz, though Kyler Murray was surprisingly throwing to Maxx Williams a fair amount before Williams suffered a season ending knee injury. So maybe they'll actually make use of Ertz, who was one of the leading tight ends for a number of years until recently.

Yeah they wouldn't have traded for him if they weren't going to use him. Certainly his usage doesn't go down after being free from having to start behind Goedert. At worst it stays the same and the trade just moves a 5th round pick from the Cardinals to the Eagles who are marginally more white-friendly in the draft.

Andy Isabella has no stats through five games and is usually a healthy scratch, not even worth carrying as a special teams gunner. Rondale Moore is up to 21 catches on the year already.

Ertz seemed to have a lot of energy this week as Philly's primary TE and obviously has something left in the tank. Problem is, I just don't care to wish any success on any member of the Cardinals.

What's been done to Andy Isabella is uncalled for and very unfair. We all know why he is ignorred. Wake up America. We are not wanted by the powers that be. That's
why we need to support our own people first and foremost and create alternate economies. Maybe even someday alternate sports leagues. Racism is only allowed when
it is against whites worldwide.

Supposedly the dreaded covid has struck the head coach and some assistants and a player, probably the bogus test but who really knows, actually I would like to see the worst caste teams get totally virus blocked for a week or two or six.

J. J. Watt lost for the season (again). He had four All-World seasons from 2012 to '15, and another one in '18, but otherwise it's been one serious injury after another. What a shame, he at least was an all-time great for a while:

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports J.J. Watt needs season-ending shoulder surgery.
Watt was injured last week against the Texans and played the second half with the issue. Ruled out for Week 8 earlier Wednesday, this is now worst-case scenario. The recovery is expected to be three months, so maybe there's an outside shot he could be ready to return sometime during the playoffs if the 7-0 Cardinals make it there and go deep into the postseason. Watt only has one sack this season but is Pro Football Focus' No. 10-graded interior defender with really strong marks for his pass-rushing. It's going to be a big loss.

Man seems like Watt is nearing the end of his phenomenal run...

Watt was making a big impact on the Cardinals defense. Despite still having Zach Allen and Dennis Gardeck I want the Cardinals to go on a losing streak due to their loathsome head coach, the QB playing the same system he has since high school and most importantly the squandering of Andy Isabella’s career

He just can’t stay healthy - first half of his career he was on track to challenge Reggie White for best lineman of all time. A shame he has been injured so often the last few years.

Only in this clown world of keeping white men down would the fastest man on the field (who also happens to be a top flight route runner with incredible hands) be a healthy scratch.

Is Kucksbury gonesbury? It looks like the proverbial s$%t hit the fan in an owner, GM, head coach meeting and nothing is off the table in terms of front office staff or coaching staff changes...https://www.nbcsportsedge.com/football/nfl/player/730/kliff-kingsbury

PS the Bidwell family since they went to the desert 35 years ago have had splashy hire after another splashy hire but have had brief flickers of success at best. Kingsbury may be another flicker of success before the inevitable flame goes out, similar to various contestants making fire in sheeple bait show Survivor over the years.

He’s a college coach running a college offense with a college quarterback. Frankly, it’s impressive that he’s pulled off this flicker of success at all. It’s always a matter of time before these wrinkles get exposed.

DeAndre Hopkins is still an excellent receiver. Apparently, he helps mask a lot of Murray’s inadequacies. His absence in the playoffs really hurt the team performance.

Imagine this team with another year of film on them for defenses to study. Take away Hopkins, and then thin out the roster by factoring whatever franchise-level cap hit Murray will eventually ask for (and receive). It seems ridiculous to fire a young coach with a great W-L record, but Kingsberry seems to be on a clear downward trajectory. I’d steer clear of Murray of course, too.

Drama in Kucksburyland. Hopefully Kucksbury is shown the door next season, after The Rodent was this season:

In a statement, the Arizona Cardinals said "nothing has changed regarding our opinion and high regard for Kyler Murray." The statement comes shortly after ESPN's Chris Mortensen cited a source who called Murray "self-centered, immature and a finger pointer." Mortensen said Murray, who recently unfollowed the Cardinals on all social media platforms, is "frustrated" with the team after their humiliating Wild Card loss to the Rams. "We are excited to continue that improvement in 2022 and are excited that Kyler Murray is the quarterback leading us," the team said in its statement. The franchise is in all-out damage control after someone in the organization flamed the team's most important player on Super Bowl Sunday -- a curious move headed into the offseason. Murray will be back under center for the Cards, however disgruntled.

Beat me to it Don. Murray looks to be a physical and mental midget when it comes to football. White QBs are scapegoated all the time - under the most intense scrutiny in any major sport. Murray has been spoon fed, coddled, protected and yet he feels scapegoated because of his late season collapses.

Cardinals extend Cucksbury and Keim. Hopefully Isabella escapes this year. Murray and Cucksbury tied together will be a let down for all the DWFs.

Reason number 1008 to dislike Kucksbury. If only this beta had 1/10 as much commitment to Andy Isabella. The idiot Bidwill, annually one of the worst owners in sports, is now stuck with Kucksbury and Keim contractually through 2027. Couldn't happen to a more deserving organization:

Kliff Kingsbury said second-year wide receiver Rondale Moore will be a much bigger part of the offense, with a goal to get him the ball in space. Why It Matters: A.J. Green and Christian Kirk are free agents, and it’s possible neither is brought back. Moore’s rookie year started with a bit of bang, but he was bottled up for most of the season. While Moore’s value should go up this year, we should also expect DeAndre Hopkins to return to his massive target share after it dropped off last year.

Kucksbury was complaining how hard it was to compete at Texas Tech and how he'd never go back to college coaching. Maybe if a College HC would think outside the box, and uh recruit the under recruited(White Players) instead of chasing after UT and OU rejects. Might be able to build something up. But they all adhere to same caste logic.

Just my two cents. I think the guy is an average NFL and College HC, the numbers back it up.

Cardinals re-sign OLB Dennis Gardeck for 3 years and $12 million. Looks like they expect to use him more on defense after being almost exclusively special teams last season.

In 2020 he had 7 sacks while only playing 94 defensive snaps before tearing his ACL.

Meanwhile Murray enjoys job security with support from the media and fans. Same with Watson. Mayfield seems to be being blackballed at this point. Nice little summary of what is happening to White QBs and the race based double standards.

Reports are saying Kyler Murray will hold out until he gets a new contract. Some reports are saying the Cardinals are going to have to pay him.

The Cardinals can keep him for three more years. They have him under contract for this year and they can franchise him twice.

If I were the Cardinals I'd try to trade him, maybe to one of the teams that just traded their quarterback.

If I couldn't trade him I'd call his bluff. Don't cave in. Let him hold out until he's an old man. I'd look to draft a quarterback in the next three drafts. I'd also look to trade for one. Mayfield is still available.
