Nice, “he thinks I can be a Kyle Guy or Joe Harris type of player”. West Virginia boy knows the score, dry your eyes castefootball brothers.

Now they just need to pick up a big in the next class or two. Not to buzzkill this but Virginia lately always gets a bunch of whites but they dont always play or finish there.

His comparison to those guys stuck out to me as well. Haven't been following Virginia as closely this year. I know one of the Hauser Bros transferred in.

This popped up in my youtube feed.
Looks like a future college star . . . if he grows some.

Kind of fun to look back through these posts and see what's become of some of these guys.

Grady Dick has chosen Kansas. Not since Kirk Heinrich and Nick Collison played for the then less cucked Roy Williams has a whitey played a major role ( there was a one and done center quickly discarded by the NBA and a couple of players that were ignored and transferred out). Christian Braun sort of plays currently.

Not a great move, but if the kid is confident in his ability to play thats a positive sign. Would hate to see him waving a towel at the end of the bench being a big time recruit.

Man does time fly. I remember seeing videos of Grady Dick when has was like 12 or 13 years of age. Even back then you just knew that he was an elite talent. Amazing to see that at such a young age. Good luck to Grady at Kansas.

1st All Black lineup in South Dakota history. A team full of refugees it looks like.

https://www.titusvilleherald.com/news/state_news/article_23ae7a25-4c9b-5e5e-9452-be86e8b24eba.html

“it speaks to the diversity”. I was planning on mockingly saying something like this but the moron in the article did it first. 20 years from now this will be the norm in every farm town across America, not just the big cities. It already is in the south. Even the white cities in “Based” Texas are like this.

The small town newspaper the article appears in certainly is "woke" -- the headline reads "1st all-Black starting lineup graces South Dakota prep hoops"

Interesting editorial/propaganda use of the word "graces," and of course in the article the word black is capitalized but not white. The Titusville Herald is fully down with the agenda.

Diversity and Graces certainly aren't what comes to mind for me.

Chet Holmgren, the #1 overall prospect in the 2021 class, has been named the Morgan Wootten Player of the Year, a prestigious national award.

Holmgren, viewed by many as a unicorn (basketball parlance for a big man blessed with intriguing guard skills), is a rail-thin 7-foot shot blocking phenom who is more comfortable on the offensive end facing the basket and beating his man off the dribble than in the post. most “experts” think he will sign with Gonzaga.

So excited for Holmgren! Intriguing skillset. Who would you compare him to @Jimmy Chitwood ? I'd almost say Durant and I know that is lofty expectations lol. Perhaps a Younger Giannis? With his knack for shot blocking.

with Chet’s very thin frame, Durant is a pretty good comparison, though Holmgren is a MUCH better shot blocker but not quite as skilled on the offensive side of the ball.

Chet Holmgren is expected to announce his college choice tomorrow (Monday, April 19) on the noon Sportscenter. the long-armed, spindly, incredibly talented 7-footer is not only the #1 overall recruit in the 2021 class, he is also projected by many to be the #1 pick in the 2022 NBA draft.

as expected, Chet Holmgren committed today to play for Gonzaga.

also of note, it is being reported that Fanbo Zeng, an intriguing prospect from China and the #33-ranked recruit by ESPN in the 2022 class, is reclassifying to 2021 and will be joining the Zags later this summer. while obviously not a White athlete, he is certainly a caste-defying figure in the basketball world.

Yes indeed Jimmy C! Saw Chet Holmgren on ESPN today! The 7'-1" wiry high-flying prospect is a very good athlete with his reverse lay-up's & monster blocked shots! Gonzaga basketball program continues to flex it's muscle!

Illinois fans are finding themselves in a strange situation: getting excited about a white recruit!

Wisconsin's 2021 Mr. Basketball is 6'5 shooting guard Brandin Podziemski. He was under-recruited due in part to perceived "inferior competition" (white players), but ended up with scholarship offers from Kentucky and Kansas, among others.

My first lazy thought for a comparison was Syracuse's Joe Girard III, who was also under-recruited despite prolific shooting because of his competition. But Podziemski is a good four inches taller and looks much stronger driving in traffic. I think he could get his number called early and often for the Illini, who are replacing a lot of firepower next season.

He had his breakout party at a Tyler Herro Tournament in Wisconsin. I thought he would go to UK like Herro. But looks like Illinois is a good landing spot as strange as it seems!

Kyle Filipowski has been shooting up the 2022 recruiting boards, now #58 in the 247 composite after acquiring a fourth star. He is 6'11 but plays more like a wing than a traditional big. Duke is the presumed leader because his AAU coach is related to Mike Krzyzewski. Syracuse and Indiana have offered, and plenty of other power conference schools are getting into the picture late. The kid has a fantastic highlight reel and looks like a future superstar.

Donovan Clingan (#42 composite) is more of a classic big man who uses his size to dominate his opponents and control the paint. At 7'1 260 lbs, he will be a load at the next level. He's drawing comparisons to Hunter Dickinson and has Michigan among his current leaders, along with local UConn (bleh), Syracuse, and Ohio State.

Filipowski has the size, athleticism and skill to be a star on the next level. Perhaps he deserves the Kevin Durant comparisons even more than Chet Holmgren?

As for the big man Clingan, I’m less enthusiastic. I just see a guy with average athleticism dominating smaller players. That’s not to say he can’t be molded into a great player with the right training and coaching because I think that is possible. I just don’t see star talent like I do with Filipowski.

I agree. He is athletic, very coordinated, agile and fast. The kid has handles, can pass, great shooter, athletic and stays calm under pressure. He never panics even when
they double team him. Complete all around player. From watching how easily he covers the floor with speed and ease I can also tell he would block a ton of shots and rebound. This
kid is about as close to a sure thing as you can find along with Holmgren.

Filipowski looks like the real deal! That pass he made at the 20 second mark in the highlights was unreal!
