David Sills led the 18' WR Preview ...little did anybody know he'd be one of the Biggest ALL TIME Subs in NFL Draft History! ....after thinking during Pre-season he'd go 2nd or 3rd Round. However Lightning bolt Andy Isabella would be a pleasant surprise(we knew) & go from late Round pre-season pick to late 2nd Round pick w 4.31 Combine. Hunter Renfrow & Scott Miller were also Drafted. There were a few other snubs as well.

Not sure exactly where this '19 Group fits w erratic NFL Projections....

Dillon Stoner
(Jr.) 6'-0 198 Oklahoma State...Big 12 Pre-Season 3rd Team; Dangerous weapon 48 receptions/ 603 receiving yards as Soph.; 24 consecutive games w at least one reception; Punt Returner

When the time comes for a running back thread, let me know.....
I don’t think anyone will need much help.....Small list.....
Cade Carney may be the only true running back graduating this year in D1.....
Few underclassmen too......

Thayer Thomas (SO) 6’1” 195lbs NC State
2 sport athlete at NC State (baseball), also serves as a punt returner. Recorded 34 catches last year but should see that number increase, his brother is a LB for NC State that was highly recruited. Had almost 600 all-purpose yards as a freshman.
upload_2019-5-29_10-24-19.jpeg

Will Hastings (SR) 5’10” 175lbs Auburn
Well known around here, we’ve been waiting a while to see him with his recent ACL injuries. Career totals of 37-623-5. A very good 16.8 average, definitely a deep threat from the slot.
upload_2019-5-29_10-29-20.jpeg

Kaleb Fossum (SR) 5’9” 180lbs Nevada
Was the “other receiver” with McLane Mannix there, Fossum will now be the focal point of the offense. Last year he recorded 70 catches for 734 yards but only had 1 TD. He also has 430 total kick/punt return yards and a TD. Transfer from Washington State in 2016.
upload_2019-5-29_10-32-43.jpeg

Ben Glines (SR) 6’2” 215lbs BC
Versatile athlete can play RB/SLOT/WR/KR, he got a few starts at RB last year and that may be his best position but they have some guys ahead of him so his best shot will be at WR. He is projected to be a starter this year and will likely be used for jet sweeps and in the backfield. Listed weight went from 220 to 215 this year. 589 all purpose yards and 7 TD’s in 2018.
upload_2019-5-29_10-37-11.jpeg

Austin Trammell (JR) 5’10” 182lbs Rice
Versatile athlete had 1036 all purpose yards in 2018. Starting slot and kick returner, maybe he’ll add punt returns this year?
upload_2019-5-29_10-41-42.jpeg

I have a bunch more to post and I’ll get to some of them later!

Thomas Hennigan (JR) 6’1” 206lbs App. State
WR/PR/KR, stats dipped from freshman to sophomore year. Career totals of 74-912-8, with 7 of those TD’s coming as a freshman. He also has over 400 return yards and a punt return TD.
Their main punt returner graduated so he should step into the full time role in 2019.
upload_2019-5-29_18-24-45.jpeg

Charlie Jones (SO) 6’0” 190lbs Buffalo
Deep threat receiver broke onto the scene as a freshman with 18 catches for 395 yards and 3 TD’s. That’s an impressive 21.9 yards a catch. He also served as their main kick returner but had a disappointing average below 20 yards. He entered the transfer portal this year but looks like he’s staying in Buffalo. He could’ve been frustrated with Buffalo bringing in WR transfers.
upload_2019-5-29_18-28-52.jpeg

Michael Lawrence (SR) 5’10” 185lbs UNT
He had an outstanding year in 2017 with 819 yards. In 2018 his production dipped to 32-433-3. UNT has a superb QB and they also had a few receivers leave so look for Lawrence to push the 1000 yard mark this year.
upload_2019-5-29_18-35-34.jpeg

Mathew Sexton (SR) 5’11” 175lbs EMU
Skinny receiver with lots of speed. Career totals of 66-827-5 and also has been used as a return man sometimes. Hoping to see his best season as a senior in 2019!

Great stuff up above from the dynamic duo here of Red raider and TwentyTwo.

Landen Akers (JR) 6'0" 185 lbs. Iowa State.

10 receptions for 181 yards. Not much to write home about but hopefully more of a break out season for this super sonic speedster.

Strong post! Solid picks as always RR! Looking forward to (a healthy) CF Poster Boy Candidate Will Hastings to blow the Top off SEC DB's once again!
Yes indeed Shadowlight...you never know who could hit the ignition switch!

Would have Ben Glines in RB thread (see RockyBleier); since numbers are lower; same reason i did not include Nate Cottrell (now listed at Slot Back) yet ...still envision Jet sweeps; etc

Brendan Schooler (Sr.) 6'-2" 193 Oregon ; 21 rec for 203 yards & TD ; Look for more production this season; started career as a DB
8481106.jpg

Beau Corrales (Jr.) 6 '- 4" 210 UNC .....18 rec for 220 yards & 2 TD's; looking for a break out year
maxresdefault.jpg

Kade Warner (Soph.) 6'-1" 210 Nebraska ...former Walk-on; son of QB Kurt; came on strong his redshirt freshman year; another Break out Candidate
5bb02ab55ba49.image.jpg

Thomas Jackson (Sr.) 5'-11" 200 Louisville (UNC Transfer)...Thanks Red Raider.....40 career receptions ; 8 TD's ...former Walk-on?
https://bigredlouie.com/2019/05/24/...l-adds-grad-transfer-receiver-thomas-jackson/
image

Bailey Gaither (Sr.) 6'-1" 176 San Jose St.....injured much of Jr. season ... Soph. year led team w 4 TD's ; play making potential ...6-100 vs. USF ; 9-125 vs Utah ; Blocks punts
bng-l-sjsufbc-0827-20.jpg

Chase Cota(Soph.) 6'-4" 205 UCLA ; Son of NFL DB Chad ; caught 4 passes vs Oklahoma as true freshman; another Break out candidate; but QB erratic Passing must improve!

Thanks guys! I got plenty more for y’all, a couple months ago I went through and made a list of over 50 wr’s who could/should have impacts this year! Won’t go into detail about all but will list some later who haven’t done much yet but who I think will. WR is my forte so I’m pretty glad this one got started up!

BYU Trio
Talon Shumway
(SR) 6’3” 212lbs
2018: 22-337-3
Gunner Romney (SO) 6’3” 188lbs
2018: 13-162-2 receiving, 3-18 rushing
Dax Milne (SO) 6’0” 184lbs
2018: 10-69-1 receiving, 9-23 rushing

Be on the lookout for these 3. Not big stats put up by them last year but they could all be starters at some point this year. Shumway is a big senior who is also a multiple season contributor, and the other two are highly talented youngsters. Romney was a starter for a portion of last year but their passing game was weak. They actually have two big time tight ends as well in Matt Bushman and Dallin Holker.

CJ Saunders (SR) 5’10” 190lbs Ohio State
One of my favorite players in college football. Easily likable guy and a workaholic, he is loved by his teammates, coaches, and Ohio State fans. He’s a 5th year senior and former walk on and he also beefed up from 175 to 190 in order to try to earn a role in his last season. He figures to factor into the rotation as possibly the 2nd option in the slot or the 5th receiver in 5 wide sets like he was 2 seasons ago. He is also vying for the punt return job which he did last year for a little bit.
Career totals of 27-294-1 and 8-50 on punt returns. He has also returned 2 kicks. Was a fantastic basketball and baseball player in high school.
upload_2019-5-29_21-36-1.jpeg

Blake Proehl (SO) 6’1” 180lbs ECU
Son of former NFL WR Ricky Proehl and brother of current Rams WR Austin Proehl. Blake was a factor in 2018 as a freshman with 29 catches for 329 yards and a TD. He missed 4 games due to injury and looks to earn a full time starting role in 2019 along with his teammate Tyler Snead.
upload_2019-5-29_21-40-17.jpeg

Tyler Snead (FR) 5’7” 170lbs ECU
Very small slot receiver who made an impact as a walk on true freshman!! Very rare to see especially from a little white receiver, he was also a very talented baseball player in high school. He only played in 4 games so he got to redshirt but he made the most of those 4 games. He had a 124 yard game against Tulane and had 3 TD’s against UCONN. He finished with 15-236-4. Expect him to have a big role this year.

The hits just keep on coming. Great job men and I have high hopes for the next Ohio State head coach. I think he will give his white players more breathing room than Meyer so good call on CJ Saunders.

Imagine a specimen that sort of combines the physical traits of Troy Apke and Mike Gesicki. Basically an athletic monster. That is what I think of when it comes to a senior first year player for Penn State.

Dan Chisena (SR) 6'3" 203 lbs. Penn State.

Will this explosive inexperienced former track sprinter emerge this season? Who knows but I sure and hell hope so albeit Penn State has been drifting more and more caste over time. Blazing speed and blew by the defense during the spring game.

Bailey Gaither (see above) was also a highly ranked baseball player in high school. I can't seem to locate it but I remember he ran a sizzling 60 yard dash back then in the 6.3 range which is a testament to his burning speed.

Mysteriously he missed a lot of time last season and has been injury prone. When he is healthy he is a big time deep threat. I can't seem to double up pictures which explains my separate posts.

Just noticed the list above. Red raider is turning up the speed big time. Touchdown!!!! I am impressed. Thanks again to TwenyTwo and Red raider. I am writing all the names down on paper.

I'll give Oliver Martin a spotlight as he is mentioned above.

Oliver Martin (SO) 6'1" 200 lbs. Michigan

Huge fan of his QB Shea Patterson and his backup CM's younger brother. Martin's stats were 11 receptions for 125 yards and one TD.

Highly touted coming in will he emerge this season? A lot of natural talent. Has the fluidity you like to see in wide receivers.

Gents, these threads are fantastic. Please, keep up the good work.

As a Euro with no exposure to anything below the NFL. For years I would search for possible white NFL prospects to try and follow. Normally, that meant getting mock previews on random sites and using google on the names that sounded white. Blessed to have come across this site last year.

One small school player who lit it up last season. Would like to see him transfer to a big school. Maybe next season. TwentyTwo cited him often last season.

Bryce Nunnelly (JR) 6'2" 190 lbs. UTC

Big play maker who caught 79 passes for 1237 yards and 7 touchdowns.

Thanks guys, I wish I could do a post like that for every position but it’s too time consuming. But for WR I had to! Can’t wait to post more in all of the other position groups. I’m sure there’s plenty of fantastic FCS receivers that I left out, Nunnelly however deserves to play major D1 ball he is insanely good! And I really hope there’s some unknown guy that takes us by storm this year!

Just found out about another WR who could likely be a starter this year. Duke true sophomore Jake Bobo had 10 catches for 167 yards and a TD last year. He is primed to take over a starting job with all of the starters from last year gone. He’s a big 6’4” 190lbs target.

Michigan State freshman speedster WR Jase Bowen was selected by the Pirates in the 11th round in the MLB draft. Don't do it Jase!! Stay at Michigan State and play both sports.

Oliver Martin officially transferred to Iowa, as the former 4-star recruit from Iowa City returns home after his he grabbed 11 rec for 125 yds and 1 TD as a (So)! Martin will no doubt get more work at Iowa, but I wish he'd stay on a stacked Michigan team where he'd have to prove his worth amongst 4 and 5-star "affletes".

Iowa didn't stop there as they added another transfer in Buffalo WR Charlie Jones 6'0 190! Jones was a trendy name this off-season, after a true (Fr) season of 18 rec for 385 yds and 3 TD's!

Thanks for the head's up Shadowlight ...sorry to see Jase Bowen go the Baseball Route like so many others (example - RB Matt Szczur & WR Jeff Samardzija should have been in the NFL)....How many other white athletes are playing Rugby; LaCrosse ; Soccer; etc?

Yes indeed Bryce Nunnelly is a Big Time WR at the FCS Level; no doubt he could do the same in the FBS!

Hoping Oliver Martin can make an impact at Iowa!

Meant to include Kyle Phillips w Chase Cota at UCLA...his HS Tape reminded me some of Trent Taylor's!

Some impressive TD : to Reception Ratios from SEC's Austin Williams 10 rec / 3 TD's & heavy metal 6-degree Black Belt Sal Cannella(Top Rated JUCO TE) 15 rec / 3 TD's; including some big time catches!

Have some high expectations for Freshman Jake Smith at Texas!

Some other FRESHMAN WR's to keep an eye on......
Nolan Groulx 6'-0 195 Wake Forest.... already listed 2nd team on Depth Chart in Three WR Set; Played in All American Bowl; Tore it up in HS All Star camps * 4 Star one time Wisconsin commit

Noah Henderson
6'-1" 195 Charlotte ; Athlon's & 24 7 Rated him as Top HS Recruit for the 49ers

Good stuff TwentyTwo.

If Jase Bowen makes it into MLB as an outfielder I have no complaints. I think some of these decisions are based on culture and white athletes and their families are generally more comfortable with the "whiter" and "safer" baseball culture as opposed to football although baseball is moving away from whiteness from the what else is new category.

Also I figure most all of the moms are pushing for their sons to choose baseball. You can bet on that. But as we all know baseball is a tough climb. With Bowen's speed and all around athleticism he had star college WR written all over him.

Absolutely, small school gem Nunnelly bears watching this fall.

Is Oliver Martin eligible to play for Iowa this fall?

Washington State RB Max Borghi seems to me like the missing link between Danny Woodhead and CM.

Texas all everything Jake Smith to me is a missing link between Taysom Hill and CM. Will caste infected Texas let this speedster run free? Jake can play QB/PR/KR/WR/RB and fill in for the team mascot. Stud is the word that best describes him.

And Wake Forest's slot WR Nolan Groulx has NFL written all over him. From what I have heard he cannot be covered.

I’ve found all of the FBS receivers I can find so I’ve been doing some FCS digging and I think I may have found a star in the making (not sure if he’s been mentioned here). Sophomore David Durden from Mercer had a solid freshman season but he has barely scratched the surface of what we will likely see from him the next 3 years. He earned some FCS freshman All-American honors last year for his stellar play. He’s a big bodied receiver at 6’2” 197lbs and he’s got some speed.

In 2018 he threw a TD pass, went 18-407(!!)-5 receiving and returned 8 kickoffs for 221 yards and a TD. He’s a versatile weapon and should only see his touches increase. His 22.6 yards per catch is very impressive and his 5 TD’s on only 18 catches is also very impressive. I’ll be keeping an eye on him this fall.

Side note: Mercer’s starting slot receiver is also a white guy named Tucker Cannon. Nothing too noteworthy about his stats but hopefully that’ll change.

Nifty find Red raider. Did some research. He was drafted by the Red Sox as an athlete in 2017 and was listed as their best athlete in that draft. He played one summer in the Gulf Coast League before heading to Mercer to play football.

He has some jets. See baseball article about Durden below. Has the size and speed to play in the NFL. He is currently 20 years old. The rare baseball player who turned to football. Wise decision.

San Diego’s Michael Bandy led the FCS in receiving yards last year with an impressive 1698 (exact same as Andy Isabella) on only 88 catches. He had 1867 all purpose yards and is back for his senior year!

NICE find RR! Mercer's David Durden looks like he could play some SEC Football!

Doing Weekly Recaps saw Michael Bandy plenty in FCS Box Scores...but was unsure if he was mixed? Solid WR for sure!

Another potential small school gem headed for the Big time!
Shane Zylstra (Sr.) 6'- 5 " 220 Minnesota State....younger brother of NFL/Vikings Brandon...Last season 66 catches for 1,261 yards and 14 touchdowns

Yeah I had to take an extra look at Bandy but I believe he is white/Hispanic, he doesn’t look black to me. Definitely has potential to be picked up in the NFL with those kind of stats.

Also Utah State’s Taylor Compton could be a starter for them this year in the slot. He had 8 catches last season and is listed as a starter as of right now on Ourlads.
