I've seen a few posts in the last week about a fantasy thread where everybody could share their teams. Here is my matchup in a 8 team IDP league. Not shown in the pic on the bench is Cook RB Min, D Johnson LB KC, M Barron DB LA, & T Jefferson DB Bal. I'm amazed i'm in the game after Danny got hurt and Burkhead & Decker wasn't used.

It's amazing to me the way the NFL Network, ESPN, and the NFL itself have begun promoting fantasy football in a huge way the past few years, undoubtedly because of the recognition that ff is now the key to the league retaining its popularity. But the injury epidemic in the NFL is going to result in the decline of fantasy football's popularity.

Key receivers like Julian Edelman and Cameron Meridith were lost for the year just in preseason, even though the league now does everything possible to keep players healthy during training camp. Yesterday, Allen Robinson tore his ACL on his first reception and is done for the year (same thing happened to Keenan Allen last year). Danny Woodhead is expected to miss significant time, so might David Johnson. Odell Beckham missed last night's game. Just as an example, Beckham, Robinson and Johnson are the three best players on one of my teams, Edelman and Meridith are key receivers on another. I have Woodhead on several teams. How much enthusiasm can you muster when your team is decimated before the season really begins?

Yesterday in general was the lowest scoring week for fantasy I can remember. Lots of players expected to do well didn't, while formerly obscure players like Tarik Cohen and Chris Carson are suddenly must-adds.

When fantasy football starts to lose its hold over DWFs in a big way, then you'll really start to see major declines in TV ratings and interest in general. Fantasy football props up a league rife with bad play, corruption, pandering to blacks and ghetto culture, and as at least a small but growing number of fans realize, systematic discrimination against White football players on a large scale. And because NFL players are so injury prone, noticeably more so than they used to be, the decline of fantasy football is bound to happen and quite possibly sooner than most people expect.

Managed to pull off the win by less than 1 point. Next week will be slightly darker but hopefully another win.

The big double whammy is going to be when the average non rabid DWFs white male conpletely abandons the game. The big thing masking the decline has been the recent influx of women into the fandom as the NFL has been rather successful in positioning itself as THE culturally significant space. When the male goes the female will go with them in droves as they'll no longer have a use for football as a vapid talking point that they can fit in with. I've gone on many dates where the girl will have to try and "show me up" with sports knowledge especially football and prove how big of a fan they are.

I already see some cracks in the system. I swear I see more women in sports gear than the average DWF male was wearing 10-15 years ago

Surprisingly thats the top score in the league right now. Injuries and under-performance was a huge issue league wide this week and my team is hit hard right now. I'm really hoping Bradford is back soon so that Adam T and Cook can put up some #s with so many other players going down this week.

Here's first of what I hope is a regular Fantasy Football Weekly update from a CF prospective. Everyone is encouraged to join in.

This report uses standard ESPN PPR scoring which is probably quite similar in results across formats but with different totals.

Week 2 QB play showed a good balance between the still high-performing veteran signal callers and the young gunslingers on the way up. Tom Brady had a BIG bounce back week and Drew Brees also racked up high numbers in another losing cause. Phillip Rivers, Big Ben, and Aaron Rodgers all put up typically superlative numbers. Joining them were youngsters Carson Wentz, Trevor Siemian, and Derek Carr.

Oddly there was only one black quarterback in the top 10, Deshaun Watson, also the only one who did not throw for a TD (basically the definition of the job).

Rex Burkhead actually outpointed Christian McCaffery and hey how often can you look to 2 white running backs putting up significant fantasy points.

Injuries cut short any chance of a big week for some of our WR guys. Chris Hogan was the only one to put up double digit numbers, but he was a top 10 performer in a game in which he was injured. Eric Decker, Adam Theilan, and Cole Beasley, only had a handful of points ~7 in ESPN PPR leagues. Not horrible for an off week by typical standards.

The ageless Jason Witton, along with Rob Gronkowski, and Travis Kelce were the top three tightends for the week. The rest of the top guys were mostly pale faces, Jack Doyle, Zach Ertz, Hunter Henry, Coby Fleener. Lets get Tyler Eifert and Kyle Rudolph going!!!

I have Jordy on most of my teams, and his goose egg cost me a few games I would have won if he'd had even a modest game by his standards. Injuries during games suck, but especially when they happen right at the beginning of the game.

There's an abandoned team in the Lambert League, the Caste Football-sponsored fantasy football league that is now in its 11th season. If you want to match wits with some of the posters here by taking over the team, post on this thread or send me a private message.

So much for regularly updating......anyway I thought it worth mentioning that for the first time since forever you can actually start an all-white fantasy football team and be competitive. There have always been QB's Kickers, and TE's of course, but filling the receiver spots was difficult and the RB spots almost impossible.

There was a tiny tiny window a few years ago when Peyton Hillis and Danny Woodhead were playing at the same time where you might have been able to start them both, if the rest of your team was very good, and I think I was able to pair Toby Gerhart and Danny Woodhead late in the season Gerhart was playing for Minnesota. But that's it. Now you have a legitimate pair in McCaffery and Burkhead, two guys that are putting up starter points. Woodhead is also now in the mix.

Oddly enough it's harder to get the receiver spots filled what with Jordy Nelson playing on a team with a special needs QB. Theilan is the best currently and Cupp is racking up some points, if Edelman and Hogan were healthy there would be more options. Amendola is the only other guy in the top 50.

I was surprised at one of the guys at QB, Wentz, Keenum and Goff are having great seasons but surprise- Josh McCown is the 7th ranked FF QB. That's pretty good for a guy mostly considered a journeyman.

I fielded all White teams in two FF leagues this year......placed first in one league and second in the other with first round byes in both. Having RBs this year was key........last week I actually started three White RBs in both leagues......a luxury never available before. It's been a fun year!

Got my all white FF Team in the playoffs this week. Wentz was my QB and Goff is my backup. Decided to pick up Garoppolo and start him today on a whim. Hoping that Rex and Christian have big games for me at RB. This is the best finish I have had since the 2010 season when I had Hillis at RB.

Ran across this today, the average draft position (ADP) of the top 32 2015 rookies as selected in fantasy football drafts. These players are now going into their fourth season, and out of the 32 only #1 Todd Gurley, #18 David Johnson and #23 Landon Collins are genuine stars, and Gurley had a poor second season sandwiched between two very good seasons, while Johnson missed almost all of 2017 with an injury. Of the others, #2 Cooper, #8 Winston, #10 Mariota, #14 Kendricks, #16 Ajayi, #24 Allen, and #28 McKinney have had their moments but none are genuine stars. Yeldon, Parker, Abdullah, Green-Beckham, Dorsett, Williams (the only whitey on the list), Strong, Cobb, Anthony, Jones, Conley, Artis-Payne and Dawson all qualify as gross underachievers or outright busts. That's a very, very weak group of rookies.

Just had my normie draft last night and it didn’t go well. I might have my blackest team ever. Outside of quarterback and tight end, there just aren’t a lot of White players to roster in a 12 team league. CMac went #1 overall so I couldn’t grab him. Thielen and Kupp also went high, and due to my draft position I would have had to reach to get them. So fast forward and I was able to nab Cole Beasley, an afterthought to DWFs, pretty late. Beyond those 4 guys, that was it. The other White RBs and WRs just aren’t rosterable right now. Burkhead is buried and Funk is someone I’m monitoring. That’s it for runners in this sorry league. For receivers, I’ll keep an eye on Renfrow, Humphries, Miller and Gunner O. I’m sure a few of these guys will end up rostered at some point but this is the worst year I can remember in at least a decade.
