Denver has to pull Manning he had been awful this came is setting up for Carolina to win and Manning to be the Goat. Not a good way for Manning to go out if he retires.

He just needs one freaking drive to move the ball a bit, use up some clock, and ice the game. Can't afford another TO or 3-and-out and give CAR another chance. It would suck lose this game 17-16 in some dramatic fashion. Game should've been over by now.

Wow, 3 straight runs. Pretty clear now, the coaches have no confidence in Manning and defense has to win it.

No matter what the outcome offensive play on both sides has been horrible.

And both defenses have been very good. The entire DEN defense should be the MVP if they can pull it off now. Miller will probably win it, deservedly so.

Looks like it is over. Good news for caste football supporters Newton awful in loss. Bad news Denver wins not because of Manning, but in spite o Manning's bad play.

Even Peyton Manning knows that if it weren't for his defense this would not be a win.

This was purely a defensive battle, that's for sure. Scam exposed as nothing special at all. Great to see that Peyton will win his second SB, this time as a game manager. Hey, at least he didn't lose the game for them. That shows some real maturity that he was able to step back, not try to force plays and make things happen, and let the defense win it. That's got to be tough to do when you are maybe the greatest quarterback of all time.

Congratulations to the Broncos! This is so much better then Caste System Hero Scam Newton winning!

I am sure the league behind closed doors is pissed their poster boy did not have an MVP performance. sCam had not faced a top defense like Denver all season. He didn't have a prayer. Exposed.

I remember when Panthers DWFs used to **** on Delhomme. Delhomme's Super Bowl 38 performance was probably the great losing effort in Super Bowl history. Same can't be said for Supaman.

Yeah Manning didn't look very good. He also seemed not to feel the pressure very well. But he hasn't played good in the Super Bowl typically so I guess it wasn't much of a surprise. I agree him being a game manager was the right thing to do. I hope he retires, he doesn't have any reason to continue to play and it looks like age has caught up with him.

Cam Newton was horrible. Take away his running and he is a fair to bad pocket passer, overthrowing open receivers and not making plays when pressured. Denver covered Olsen and left it to guys like Ginn and Crotchery to be the only targets, not a good option for an inaccurate passer like Newton.

I'm happy Peyton gets to go out on top but I'd still rate this game a 2/10. Bad offense, sloppy turnovers, motormouth Phil Simms and a lousy halftime show.

As for Newton, has the league MVP ever played so poorly in the Super Bowl? He was utter crap. I think he'll go back to mediocrity next season playing a tougher schedule and with defenses seeing the successful Denver formula to stop him.
