No class? Did he do a shimmy-shake dance or head butt somebody? I must have missed something.

another comical moment was on NFL Gameday Dieon and Steve Mariucci were stumbling over themselves to agree with LT's assessment that he is classy....Primetime says, "he's a classy guy" and Mariuccifalls all over himselftoconfirm, saying "Big-time".

If you had to look at one play that killed the Chargers it had to the idiotic attempt by their punt returner to pick the ball up after he fumbled it.

Idiot play #2 had to be the personal foul commited by one of the charger affletes after they had stopped the Patriots third down attempt. I've seen too much of this over past few years to believe that the players care more about winning than they do about trash talking.

Not Marty's fault. You can't teach stupid.

I caught LT's comments on the radio later. I don't agree with the Patriots players mocking the Chargers by dancing on their field, but sometimes you talk trash, and sometimes you get told.

If Merriman and the other idiots like him were a little more classy and less trashy, maybe opposing teams wouldn't take offense and try to humiliate them when given a golden opportunity.

LT shows his true colors when he tries to blame Belicheck for that kind of stupidity. I don't know what kinda guy Belicheck is in 'real life,' but I seriously doubt as a coach that he advocates that type of behavior in his players. If I recall, all of the unsportsmanlike penalties in the game were called on the Chargers. Does Marty teach you guys that in practice, LT?

I guarantee you that Belicheck will dress down the players who were dancing at mid-field. No way he lets something like that go without addressing it.

I agree with you, Poop: the worst play of the game has to be the head butt. Saying that guy is retarded is an insult to retards.

Tomlinson was upset that the Patriots were mimicking Merriman's dance and then blames Belicheck.Questions for LT: Isn't Merriman's dance disrespectful? And does that reflect on your coach? What an idiot.

Yahoo: Once it was over, Tomlinson, like Brady one of the most laid-back superstars in any sport, lost his cool. He went after an unidentified Patriots player and had to be restrained by a teammate and former Charger Reche Caldwell, who had a huge game for the Patriots.

Tomlinson yelled and pointed at the Patriots player, upset that some Patriots were dancing on the Chargers logo at midfield after they had silenced the record crowd of 68,810 at Qualcomm Stadium.

"I would never react in that way. I was very upset," Tomlinson said. "When you go to the middle of our field and start doing the dance Shawne Merriman is known for, that is disrespectful. They showed no class and maybe that comes from the head coach."

Merriman, nicknamed "Lights Out," did a spasmodic dance to celebrate each of his NFL-high 17 sacks.

What did you guys think about the face-mask clothes-line take down by LT on Colvin after the River's interception. The officials threw the flag and then said it was not a face-mask. clearly it was a blow to the head and face-mask. Rich Eisen on NFL gameday even mistakenly stated that the 15 yard face-mask penalty was given on that play.

Captain Poop said " Not Marty's fault. You can't teach stupid." I do not agree. Maybe Marty should have had a few more whites starting on his team. I'm sure alot of those bone head, emotional "plays" would be cut to a minimum. It is my contention that whites play with skill and learned technique. Brothers play with raw abandon. A recurring theme is the Brother hitting, not tackling a ball carrier. Or a Brother head butting, pushing, or trash talking after the ball is dead. Not good on field decorum.

P.S. Marty, get a white reciever or two to use on third down, maybe they won't drop passes or fumble during clutch game time conditions.

It should have been a penalty, definitely. We mentioned it early in the thread in the play-by-play discussion. They picked up the flag without explanation.

Are there any teams in the league that start more white players than the Patriots, Colts, and Saints? I don't recall Don's grades of these teams, but the lineups might have changed a bit since then anyway.

Is it a coincidence that teams who's starting lineups are close to 40% white are playing deep into the post-season? Edited by: White Shogun

No coincidence at all. I call it the BSU effect, that is to say the number of wins is directly proportional to the number of white starters. With that said, the superbowl winner will be the Pats again!

The Chargers defensive player who intercepted and then got stripped of the ball on 4th down with about 6 minutes left......when asked by a reporter during the post game press conference, "did you think about batting that ball down instead of intercepting it?" McCree: "No, why would I knock the ball down, he threw it right to me?" Reporter: "Because it's 4th down and you were 20 yards behind the line of scrimmage." McCree: I was trying to score and thought if could make the guy in front of me miss, I'd be off an running."(something to that effect)

Bottom Line: The Chargers are a dumb team that puts their own personal glory, emotions and selfishness ahead of the team. Even when they make a mistake that costs them the game, they don't realize it. If McCree bats the ball down, the Chargers win, simple as that. The Chargers have more individual talent, they're faster and they're more athletic than the Patriots, but because they don't think, they lost.

Follow up to last post: Or the Saints! Either way, the winning quarterback will be white and not one of the Next Negro stars. Sorry: Vick, Young, McNair, McNabb, Dullpepper, Leftwich, etc, etc...

Trying to intercept the ball on 4th down, whether 20 yards or 60 yards down the field, is now an integral part of football, black style. Batting the ball down is merely common sense and was always part of the sport's fundamentals until the Caste System began, which panders to black "sensitivities" and "styles of play." This is of course enabled by the white coaches and the white broadcasters, whodon't call out players for doing it.

BTW, Brian Urlacher did knock a pass down instead of trying to intercept it in the Bears-Seahawks game. Just think how much improved football would be if this and all the many other fundamentals that have been cast off in the name of social engineering and pandering would return, along with the best players.

NFL is all about "me" now. That's where i see white athletes will get a real chance, because people will realize that whites, while being as good (maybe less "flashy") are also more disciplined and simply, well, smarter players with good fundamental skills and understanding of the game.

Another mistake I have seen in both college and pro football is the fair catch inside the 10 yard line. Trying to intercept on 4th down is in the same league. I don't think either announcer said a thing about it, even though it cost San Diego a chance at the Super Bowl. You see these mental mistakes constantly.

I was very surprised today, listening to Colin Cowherd and the Dan Patrick show on ESPN radio.

Cowturd said that the Chargers (LT) should reconsider calling the Patriots classless when there have been Chargers arrested on dope charges and shootings with the police, steroid suspensions, head butting, and other idiocy. He was even negative in his comments about Merriman's dancing in the first place.

Dan Patrick and Keith Olbermann basically took the same stance as Cowturd. I was pretty surprised by this, even though they were sure to add the caveat that LT himself is 'very classy,' a 'very classy guy,' the 'definition of class,' etc.

Not only that, they were defending Marty Schottenheimer. The consensus of both programs was that Marty doesn't catch the balls, drop interceptions, fumble, or headbutt people on the field. They called out a few of the Chargers' players specifically by name for their performance on the field.

A bit different than the commentary I'm used to hearing on their programs.

However, Ron Sibel (sp?) on the afternoon show brought ESPN back around to its caste home by actually attacking Belicheck and the Patriots as a classless organization. He said that there are 'rumors' that even though Belicheck is a 'milquetoast' on the air, he has quite a bit to say during the week and off the air that is pretty classless and questionable. Or so he's heard. wtf?

Your thoughts? Edited by: White Shogun

My local sports guy is saying the same thing. He is calling Belichick- Darth Vader and hopes the Colts will crush him and the Patriots. I think he is just carrying water for the classiest guy in the NFL - Tomlinson. By the way, who makes that determination? Why is a20 ishblack kid the eptiome of class?

Why is Belichick being blamed for LT's outburst? I also remember seeing a Charger do adrawn outdance routine last night after a touchdown. How often do we see the Patriots doing dances after scoring TD's or making plays? I don't think Bill permits them to go hog wild, does he?

Tomlinson is a whiny little LOSER. If he had integrity, he would blame excessive antics and taunting on his own black teammates. But they are most likely too stupid to understand.

Bart, you must have missed it.ESPN had a hidden camera on Belichick in the locker room before the game. He asked for the team's black players to huddle with him over in the corner, then said to them, "After we win this game, I want you to gather on the Chargers' logo in the middle of the field and do the same spasmodic dance that Shawn Merriman does after getting a sack. Got it?"

Yeah, the same Bill Belichick that has been successful in large part because he has gone out of his way to get players with more character and less selfishness than the run of the mill afflete that dominates the NFL. Oh, and I forgot to add that Belichick gave out a prolonged "Dr. Evil" madman laugh after making his request.Edited by: Don Wassall

I want to see if the 'Belicheck is classless' garbage picks up momentum and sticks as a 'story' in the main stream sports media. It's about as ridiculous a story as there has been recently.

Why isn't anyone calling Merriman's dance classless?

Is headbutting opposing players classy behavior?

L.T.'s pathetic display after the game showed us all how much "class" he has. What a ridiculous term "class" is, anyway; as Bart posted earlier, who determines such a thing? At any rate, you can be sure that no white athlete on the planet would stand up at a press conference and announce to the world that "I'm a classy guy." One might even say that such a childish, arrogant statement disqualifies anyone as being "classy" by itself.

I have to disagree a little bit about Belicheck, however. While he may be less overtly annoying than the average Caste coach, he is not exactly a friend to white players. When he coached the Browns, Belicheck kept rotating Tommy Vardell in and out of the lineup with derelicts like Leroy Hoard, assuring that Vardell would never be allowed to develop into the franchise back he could have been. BTW, Belicheck's coaching "genius" was late to develop. He certainly seemed like the typical NFL buffoon in his time with Cleveland; who can forget his outburst, caught on videotape, on draft day when the Jets unexpectedly took a TE that Belicheck assumed would be there for him with the next pick? Belicheck was so flustered and unprepared for this, that the team ended up taking some guy about two rounds earlier than he should have been drafted. Frankly, I've been astounded by Belicheck's success in New England, and really can't believe there is anything special about his coaching skills. Belicheck also doesn't hesitate to have blacks with questionable backgrounds on his team. Belicheck signed and kept Corey Dillon, who in a just world would be incarcerated for the rest of his life, for his countless juvenile crimes alone. He drafted Daniel Graham and Ben Watson, who both have "character issues," to put it kindly. Rodney Harrison is an obnoxious braggart, indistinguishable from the hordes of boasting, overrated little DBs in the NFL today. We also must remember that Belicheck is a Bill Parcells' disciple, and Parcells certainly didn't discriminate against black thugs and criminals. I think that the Colts, for instance, measure up nicely against the Patriots on the "character" issue in general, and I will be rooting strongly for them. Maybe we'll finally see Peyton Manning in the Super Bowl.

There was some bad blood between the two teams stemming from the game when the Chargers snaped the Pat's 21 homegame winning streak. From what i've read, the Pats were not happy with Merriman's dances. Also Merriman wasvideoed at a pep rally before the last game. He was asked what he was going to do in the game. He said, " I'm going to punch Tom Brady in the mouth."

Article in the Boston Herald speaks of the comments made by Bum phillips and another player after the 42-17 loss.

Saturday, January 13, 2007 Chargers fuel the fire: Pats miffed by foes' Super Bowl chatter

FOXBORO - The San Diego Chargers apparently learned nothing from Freddie Mitchell, Mike Vanderjagt and other players who opened their mouths before playing the Patriots in the postseason.

If they had, they would understand that no comment is innocuous enough to avoid setting off the Pats. The two squads meet in the divisional round tomorrow, and there already are rumblings of discontent in the Patriots locker room regarding a lack of respect from the West Coast, where the Chargers have proclaimed they're going to the Super Bowl.

"We'll just lay low and let some guys run their mouth a little bit," Pats defensive end Richard Seymour said yesterday. "We'll do our talking on the field."

Instead, the Pats are steaming because of phone calls between receiver Reche Caldwell and some of his former Chargers teammates, who insist they're going to mop the floor with the Patriots tomorrow.

The underdog Patriots can use it as motivation, just as they're aware of comments the Chargers made following last season's 41-17 victory at Gillette Stadium, which ended the Pats' 21-game home winning streak.
