2014 Colorado Buffaloes

The 2014 season marks the 2nd season for former SJSU coach Mike MacIntyre who started 6, 6, and 9 white players in his 3 seasons at the school. Colorado has had 10, 11, 9, 9, 12, 12, 14, 15, and 13 White starters since '05. The Buffs have had close to a decade long reign as a perennial bright spot at CF but, similar to their Colorado counterpart up the road in Fort Collins at CSU, there is a changing of the guard in the racial makeup of the team, as they expect to roll out just 7 whites in their starting 22. This is another blow to one of the last regions in the US to have predominantly white teams that have precariously been inundated with SEC and West Coast types clamoring for more bruthas from CA, TX, and FL

For the 1st time in nearly two decades, CU will hand the reigns to a non-white QB, a samoan by the name of Sefo Liufau, so don't expect much production from either Irwin or Spruce

there is a potential positive update for the Buffaloes …

highly touted Auburn transfer Shane Callahan has been declared immediately eligible, and as such he is likely going to win a starting nod on the offensive line. a 4-star recruit (and U.S. Army All-American Bowl participant and 2012 Parade All-American) coming out of high school, the 6-foot-6, 300-pound sophomore has the talent to play at several o-line spots. he was expected to challenge for a starting spot at Auburn before the transfer.

the most likely scenario will see Callahan take over the starting job at left tackle, replacing over-hyped (and not surprisingly under-performing) black sumo Stephane Nembot. that name is not a typo. haha!!
