Helenius fought with only one arm. Vitali beat Chisora, winning every round with only one arm.

However, this is Boytsov we are talking about. The old Boytsov would knock Chisora out, no doubt, but after two surgeries on his hands, layoffs caused by the surgeries and a bad promoter who knows? If Boytsov is only 50% as good as he was, he will knock Chisora out. Boytsov had everything, he was boxing 101, with extremely heavy hands, great combinations, footwork, I just hope his past promoter did not do to him what Don King did to Tyson. It all depends on what Boytsov has left. If I knew what Boytsov looked like now I could make an easy prediction. Still, I will not be surprised if Boytsov wins the fight by knockout anyway, even below his best...........how much rust does he have, will he use his power, was his surgery successful?

Hammer might KO Boytsov. I used to have high hopes for B, but aside from all his physical problems and problems with promoters etc., I think he might be a heavy drinker. You can see his last fight, a total mismatch against some guy who wasn't even trying, in June, on Youtube. Unimpressive. You can also see Hammer's last fight, just last week, when he KO'd Leif Larsen, and KO'd him hard, the first person ever to do that.

Denis Boytsov's September 14 opponent will be Travis Walker.

I saw that someplace else too, but meanwhile no fight is even listed on BoxRec. Walker has fought a lot of the top guys, losing to all of them, but probably a smarter choice than jumping right back in with Hammer who is on a roll.

BoxRec is never a complete schedule, sometimes the promoters/managers don't contact them about upcoming fights.

BoxRec doesn't have Glazkov-Adamek on it's schedule yet, even though it's been widely reported.

Marco Huck is injured, so the whole September 14 Sauerland card may be cancelled or postponed now.

Boytsov injured again; off October 26 card

WBO #1 heavyweight Denis Boytsov (33-0, 26 KOs) injured a knee on Tuesday and will be out for three weeks before he can resume training. “This is obviously very unhappy,” said Sauerland managing director Chris Meyer. “Actually Denis Boytsov should have boxed in Oldenburg on October 26. The boxing fans now have to wait a little longer to finally see him in action again. Exactly when this will be the case, however, is not yet at this time foreseeable.”

He had enormous potential, but he likes drinking vodka more than training.

I'm not so sure. He started his career coming in at 202. I believe he weighed in at 222 for yesterday's fight while Leiapi was around 246. Boytsov is just too small to be a top heavyweight.

OK, I'm not so sure either. A loss can be a great learning experience. And I've been going on for years about how boxing needs a superheavyweight division. If 225 - that's what Boxrec said he was yesterday - Leapai being 245 - is too small, where does that leave guys weighing 200-210?

I would think someone who is 210 can make cruiserweight (though the paydays there suck). Someone who is 220 - 225 is probably stuck. Losing 25 pounds may well drain them at 200 and they are too small to hang with guys 25-30 pounds heavier who can fight at a top level.

I think he's just been inactive for so long that he wasn't sharp enough for this fight. I've seen him train and I thought he looked short of skills -especially footwork. To me he's always looked too straightforward and lacked creativity. But, good luck to him, maybe he'll go back and try to do things differently.

The bout will be the co-feature to the WBO world cruiserweight title fight between Marco Huck and Mirko Larghetti.

Boytsov's March 21st fight. He finished off the Brazilian negro faster than did Price, Parker, and Hammer. He was ten pounds lighter than he was when he lost to Leapai.

But once again, Boytsov is stuck with a poor promoter.

Sauerland used to be okay, but they are not making many interesting matchups now.

Boytsov-Price, Pulev-Price, or Boytsov-Pulev would be good, and Sauerland could make those fight easily.

The Sauerland brothers have also been doing their very best to destroy Helenius' career.

Boytsov needs to wake up. He has only himself to blame for his slow career.

I think you're correct, A. I've heard that he likes his vodka too much. Maybe he's settled down now.

Denis Boytsov was hospitalized today after an accident in the Berlin subway. Apparently he was found with head trauma and battered hands. It sounds to me like some sort of foul play is involved or a suicide attempt. He is on life support.

This is sad news. I've always been a big fan of Boytsov and he always seemed like such a great guy.

Hope he pulls through OK.

Prayers for Boystov. The articles are saying he was intoxicated. Did he get into a brawl or did he simply fall?

It says he was found between stations.
