And damn, that atmosphere inside the Nottingham FM Arena was breathtaking.

Dan Rafael who attended the fight said it was one of the most electric atmospheres he's ever experienced in a boxing match.

Perhaps Ward/Froch would have been a different story had the fight been in England.

First of all let me say that I was completely wrong about this fight. I predicted a Bute KO 9 result, and that turned out to be far removed from the reality of it.

Im a huge fan of Lucian Bute. Being a European/Canadian, Ive been following Bute as a big fan for about 7 or 8 years now. I feel sad to see him getting beat up like that and TKO'd against the ropes. That last sequence of punches was brutal, and Lucian is lucky they stopped it then cuz another 2 or 3 shots and it would have been *really* bad. I really expected Lucian to do better in this fight, and I felt he was a much better boxer than Froch.

Getting knocked out doesn't mean the end of Lucian's career. Over history many boxers have been KO'd on offnights then come back better than before (Wlad Klitschko, Joe Louis, Lennox Lewis are notable examples of guys who've been KOd then returned even more successfully than they were before the loss).

I dont think this is the end of the road for Lucian and I do expect to be seeing him back in titlefights in the future.

Lucian has a rematch clause in the contract for this fight, so if Lucian wants, he could potentially fight Carl Froch in an immediate, mandatory rematch in Montreal. However, news reports are suggesting that Lucian will not be pursuing this.

Call me crazy, but I still think Lucian is a better fighter than Carl. Lucian looked to be having an offnight. I am shocked and still find this all unbelievable to be honest. Carl is one hell of a tough guy. But I really think Lucian has a lot more skills than he showed in this fight.

Anyway, credit where its due, Carl Froch got a career best performance and looked sensational in giving Bute this loss. Great fight from Carl. Just for kicks, if anyone bet on a Frock KO, you'd be receiving something like +400 odds (that is, winning 400$ for every 100$ bet).

Great upset from Carl!

I think Bute is a better boxer than Froch as well. Bute has to go for a rematch and win otherwise he will be called a fraud by the wiggers for ever. With a change up of his game plan I think he beats Froch in a rematch.

Bute just needs to box from a distance and than tie Froch up when he gets inside in the rematch and he'll win. And LB should forget about going for a KO just box Froch's ears off.

From what I've read on Fightnews, Andre Dirrell is bashing Lute. That guy truly is the scum of boxing.

Yes, Andre Dirrell specifically referred to Lucian as a "bum".

There is an overwhelming hate for Lucian in the boxing world from the media and fans. This hate has always been there but is now at the forefront of various forums (Boxrec.Com, Boxingscene.com). You have all kinds of wiggers and "boxing experts" who are happy that Lucian (talented Euro white fighter) has been exposed by Froch (the white guy who lost to Negro Ward). So in a round about way, they are happy not because Froch won. But because Ward beat Froch, and Froch beat Bute. So, that implies that Ward would beat Bute.

Bute was arguably the #1 168lb fighter in the world before he lost, so he was somewhat of a threat or challenge to Ward. Typical boxing fans (ie dumb, white American boxing fans) dont like that and now that Lucian has lost their true feelings are coming out.

I would have much preferred if Lucian won, unfortunately that was not the case.

I also feel that Lucian should have won. Perhaps Ive overrated him, but I really felt he was going to beat Froch.

In any case, its disgusting to see the amount of hate for Bute on the forums in the aftermath of his loss. Its almost like everyone is *so* delighted that he lost. Theyre not even happy that Froch won. Theyre just happy that Bute lost.

Typical wigger, liberal-white, negro-apologist type fans. Not my cup of tea.

All is not over for Lucian. Yes, getting TKO'd by Froch is a major setback. But it isn't career ending unless Lucian allows it to be.

Its still possible that Lucian comes back and regains his title or another title at 168.

I also feel that he would be more competitive in fighting Ward or Dirrell. I won't say that Lucian would beat them, but I do think it would be a much closer fight than Froch TKO loss.

Lucian was such a talent and to be honest its hard to explain what happened last Saturday.

It was a shocking upset but if Lucian has the mental toughness he can come back. Wlad Klitschko, Lennox Lewis, Manny Pacquiao for example all came back from similar KO losses to become better fighters!

Lucian needs to excise the option, say around December in Montreal. He will make big money and have the chance to vindicate himself with a win over Frochy, by exclusively boxing, which he can do. If he avoids a rematch, he will be remembered as a hyped boxer, who could not handle top tier fighters. He needs the rematch big time.

Regarding affelet Dirrell. He will never be the same after be blugeoded by Arabaham while he was supposedely slipping on the canvas. F him.

Spot on. The DWFs and racist Negroes had a fear that one of the few great black hopes left would be beaten by Bute. Now they are very happy that the threat is out of the way. I still would like Carl to get another crack at Ward as I think he can win if he makes it a war like with Lucian.

I also think Bute has a a shot against Ward due to their styles.

I would not like to see Bute-Froch II as Carl has a very difficult style for Bute and I think the result would be similar. Maybe Bute can fight Stieglitz (a fight he should win) and then tempt Ward or Dirrell the punk with a big money fight in Montreal.

Remember that 2 of the judges had the Ward-Bute fight at 115-113 so it was a close one. Froch was coming on strong at the end and might have nicked it if we still had 15 round fights. I reckon in the rematch Carl will step on the gas a little earlier and not try to box with Ward.
