A beautiful website. And also, inspirational. Beautiful people, beautiful culture.
It is also a good example of the Russian genius for subverting everything that is good in the cause of the nation, with the extreme case during the Communist era of both God and motherhood (and apple pie) being "used" to defend a regime that was officially atheistic and materialistic.
Historic Russia is 99% correct about the right-ordering of society, with legitimate rulers and a legitimate religion. It is not a land where its political leaders are selected by demagogic mob vote, nor where the spiritual leaders spring up at their own whim and invent their own congregations and religion. But it is precisely because the Russians are "almost" correct that gives them both a real strength but also presents real dangers from this one tiny flaw.
It is fitting that Moscow considers herself the "Fourth Rome"; but, this can only blossom into maturity as an anti-Rome because of Russian Orthodoxy's inability to separate itself from the machinations of the state. In many ways, this is the difference between historic Western and Eastern Europe -- the relative autonomy of the Roman Patriarch (the pope) as compared to that of the patriarchs of the East.
The reverse side of this is that as the officially-recognized influence of hierarchically-organized religion has declined (or actively legislated against) in Western Europe, the nation-states have no effective and official "tool" with which to build their nations and hold them coherent -- and so the hodge-podge of belief systems soon degrades into a hodge-podge of peoples and cultures that are antithetical to one another.
I pray for the day that Russia re-vitalizes the disintegrating political and social structures of Western Europe -- but this can only be possible after Russia gives a more-than-lip-service recognition that the religion they profess transcends the will of whoever is their current poltical leader. And the only way that this can occur is for the Russian patriarch to force his autonomy from the state. In other words, he must follow the Roman model. But he cannot do so by appealing to himself or to precedent, because neither provide these rights. The only mechanism is that the Russian church actually asserts its ties to not only now-defunct Constantinople, but to Rome; which are already there -- but that these ties and obligations are stronger than that imposed by the leader of the Russian state.

I am liking what I have seen so far. Pride in their history, technological achievements, their physical beauty as well as there athletic prowess. The Russian military also is featured and it appears to be a very pro christian and white site. Glad I could share with you guys.

For the first time in the Russian history legal abortion was allowed by the Destructive Bolsheviks in Russia in 1920.

Alpha - I live in Russia and I'm sick of all the pro-Stalin sentiment here. He was one of the greatest mass murderers in history, in the same vain as Pol-Pot, Hitler and Mao. He killed millions of his own Russian people, and stuff like which you just posted only spurs less-eductated Russians on to beliving that his dictorial and (to put it midly) heavy-handed ways are what is best for the country.
And now we have Putin and the likes, stripping away all democratic freedoms from Russia, and many people are actually happy about it. On the May 9 vidtory parade the other week, people were putting flowers around a portrait of Stalin, and that just depressed me.

I am no expert in Russian affairs; I only foundinteresting thedistinction noted between Stalin's Communism and the Bolshevik's. The similarity between Bolshevik Communism and Western multiculturalism (political correctness) is startling. No Christmas tree? Wasn't a menorah recently placed in front of the White House and the Christmas tree removed?

It's human nature to want heroes; it's rare to find the individual who internalizes that projection (i.e., recognizes that archetype as an inner power).

In many ways Stalin was worse than Hitler towards White people with his government sanction starving of millions/killing of White people in the area of which is now Ukrain, not to mention the pruging(killing) of the Officer Corps and Senior Staff NCOs just prior to WW2. He was a menence to Whites.

Alpha - I am glad to share any experiences if you have specific questions. Bear in mind that whilst I live in Russia and have done for all my adult life, I was born and educated in Britain, and so am not a 100% native Russky. However, I consider myself to be culturally much more Russian than British - i.e - Russia is my home (and always will be), and on the odd occassion that I go to Britain I feel life a complete stranger.
Yes - most people desire heroes, and hence the Stalin worship. Despite the impression that site gives, Russia does have a considerable divide in opinions and political pursuasions. However, I would say that a lot of the stuff the site talks about is valid, and does reflect the viewpoint of the majority of Russians.
