IMO, Olsen has been more "hype-than-substance" just like Shockey.

It's no different than when many blacks are called "athletic freaks" (and they are from "major college programs"), but they fail to produce in the NFL. I mean, how overrated was 1st rounder Bubba Franks?.. also from Thug U.

And.. Jason Witten, Tony Scheffler and Owen Daniels didn't receive "extreme hype" coming out of college, but they are talented nonetheless.

You guys. I was talking to a Bears fan the other day and mentioned that Hatie Smith was the cause of the teams problem. Who? He asked. Oh yeah LOVIE Smith, but he hasn't been called that on this site in years so whenever I think of the guy I just associate his CF nickname. Same thing with Andy Reid, I just call him Fat Bastard whenever I'm talking about him. Most people understand that one though.

Stop the freaking presses the bears with Hatie Smiff as the coach signed a white wide reciever from Canada, and this player has a chance to make their roster and shine next year. I could not believe the article I was reading maybe Hatie took a cue from Jim Cladwell about White recivers been able to play at this level. Anyway best of luck to Andy Fantuz in all his future NFL endeavors.http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/football/bears/ct-spt-0205-bears-chicago--20110204,0,3099548.storyHere is anothe raticle on Andy.http://blogs.suntimes.com/bears/2011/02/bears_sign_canadian_receiver.html

Mike Hass, David Ball, Eric Peterman.....If his only choice was the Bears, he shouldve stayed in Canada, he had a good thing going on. If he is given a REAL chance he will put up great numbers in the NFL.

My first impression yesterday when I read about this was that Fantuz is oblivious to the fact that many NFL teams won't give a White wide receiver the chance to play, the Bears being one of them. Mike Martz being the offensive coordinator does give rise for some hope though.

I agree, especially given that he had the opportunity to sign with the Patriots as well:

Fantuz, who worked out at Halas Hall last month, chose the Bears over similar offers from the Steelers, Patriots and Bills.
He hit it off with wide receivers coach Darryl Drake and weighed
factors like the scheme and depth chart when making his decision. He's
familiar with the Bears having grown up in Chatham, Ontario, not 50
miles from Detroit.

With all of the talk of the Pats needing a big target at the WR spot, how awesome would it have been to sometimes see this combination in action at the same time...Gronkowski, Welker, Edelman, Fantuz, a Snow Plow, Brady behind Center and Danny in the backfield?

They never seem to consider the situation they will run into on some teams.

He sees the Bears as having the worst receivers out of any of those teams, and figures to have the best chance to make it in Chicago. Of course we all know he should have signed with the Patriots.

I'd say the Bills, Patriots #2, Steelers and then Bears. The Bears have the worst track record for white offensive skill players in the league. Even the Steelers gave Tyler Grisham some chances last year. I don't necessarily see Tomlin as a clear cut racist like Hatie, but just a puppet of the Steelers GM and Radical Rooney.

I would say the Bills would be the easiest roster to make. As they had a bunch of rookies and some were free agents that made the roster. They should have a spot or two on the bubble for the position. But then again the Bears don't have much besides Knox and Hester(who is situational).Edited by: white is right

Pats are set at WR, so he would not be making the team, i mean Welker, Edelman, Tate and Branch plus big targets in Gronk and Hernandez. great receiving back. definitely little room there.

Bills would be ideal, but logically looking at it, Bears might be even weaker at WR, however there's an X factor of Lovie Smith...

As I've mentioned for a year now, Bears GM Jerry Angelo seems to be fairly open minded about finding the best available skill players (and defenders)-- even if it's white WR's, RB's and DB's. Dating back to his days in Tampa, when he drafted many white DB's, he's hardly been a Caste clown. When Dick Jauronwas coaching the Bears in the early 2000's I even used to root for them a bit.

But Hatie (I has mea white wife) Smith, slowly, but surely started to cleanse his white skill players -- Brock Forsey, a Jerry A. favorite, was gone first. After that, all of the many whites he signed or drafted on offense where shown the door -- Dustin Lyman, David Ball, Mike Haas, Jake Sharpe, Eric Petermanect....Angelo reportedly got into a heated exchange with Hatie when he refused to activate Haas after Mike had a awesome preseason.

Eventually Hatie, who is the highest paid coach in theNFL,started to cleanse the defense, also, using any excuse to cleanse white players, other than the repulsive Brian Urlacher, who had a mullatto son, while married to another woman....

The ultra classy and educated Hunter Hillenmeyer (a JA waiver pickup), who should've beena 10 year (at least) career starter and didGREAT when Urlacher was hurt in 2009,was jerkedaround for years and eventually cleansed last fallfor unknown reason (slight concussion, Hatie did him a "favor"?)....Dusty Dvoracek and Dan Bauzin, high picks, wherecleansed due to injuries, even though both eventually got healthy and wanted to return. Dusty is in the UFL, now...Todd Johnson, very promisingsafety, cleansed....Craig Steltzrelagated to special teams mascot.

Real problem here is guys like Fantuz have stupid, clueless agents. Why they get talked into letting their clients sign with the Bears (by Angelo and Martz) is beyond me. If they had any shred of common sense, they'd realize Hatie can't wait to release them, as he has final say on roster moves. I realize most agents are jewish and are hardly Caste Football fans, but can't they put two & two together and see how Hatie cuts all the whites? What good does it do them (financially) if these guys never play a down in the NFl and must return to the CFL in order to play for peanuts?

Aren't general managers the bosses of coaches. I know he wanted the guys near the end of the roster to play one season when the Bears were out of the playoffs and supposedly Smith ignored the suggestion. In hockey many coaches that fought for roster control have lost the war to the gm. Ted Nolan vs John Muckler is a good example of this.

I'm wondering too if Hatie has that kind of total control over all personnel decisions. If Angelo is making the draft day decisions, then he should have at least some control over how the roster is shaped.

Gentlemen, I'm not sure how much power Hatie has, but he's the highest paid coach in the NFL and I do not believe Jerry A. is a Caste clown at all. I think he's a Ted Thompson, Bill Polian type -- color blind, looking for the best available talent.

Couple things I know:

**Tony Dungy has publicly stated him and Jerry A. (in Tampa)tried hardto move up prior to the 2000 draft in orderto select Brain Urlacher and play him at free safety, next to Lynch at SS. Remember, Urlacher and Scott McGarrahan were a great pair of safeties at New Mexico. Bears bulked him up a bit and converted him to MLB the year before Angelo accepted the job in Chicago. He played so well at MLB as a rookie, Angelo could not move himto safety, without incurring the wrath of the DWF's. How many NFL "Caste Clown GM's" would've drafted Urlacher as a FS?

**Back in the early days of the net, Pro Football Weekly used to let their writers answer message board questions from fans. In 2001 Iaskeda "draft expert"named Eric Endholm, if he thought Boise RB Brock Frosey would be drafted and if he would be moved to FB in the NFL?....Endholm replied he was from Chicago (where PFW is located) and spoke to Angelo personally. He said if the Bears have a shot at him in the latter rounds, Angelo will jump at him and play him exclusively at tailback. He said JA"loved Forsey" going into the draft andfelt he would be a huge steal...we all know what happened, Forsey gets 127 yards in his first start for Jauron, but gone once Hatie got there and mocked him for looking like a "ballboy".

**Look at all the high picksAngelo's used for white players since he arrived. I think his record speaks for itself. I doubt he's drafting all the white guys high, just so he can relegate them to special teams or have them be cut after a year or two.

**Anybody here remember a freaky athleticOLB from Purdue named Joe Odom, who ran a 4.49/40 and could weight lift like an OT, yet fell to round 6 in the early 2000's?

He started someand looked like an absolute steal as a rookie for Dick Jauron. Jerry and Jauron praised him a lot as a rookie...Next year, 2004, rookie coach Hatie (I has me a white wife) Smiff, had him begin spring practices as a starter, based on his rookie play, but quickly started to publicy dump on the workout warrior for being out of shape and eventually cut him? Odom's quickrise and very sudden fall absolutely, 100% began with Hatred Smiff!

P.S: Backrow, as I recall, Hillenmeyer was very upset about being placed on IR. Make no mistake about it, the racist Hatie wanted him out and found a way via IR. Hopefully Hunter will find a way to stay in the game, but I fear his been branded damaged goods.Edited by: Truthteller

For his first tenure he almost has Tuna/Hoodie like power over the roster. Either Bears upper management is weak or this comes down from the top ie the McCaskey family. Over the years I have seen so many soap operas between general managers and coaches over control of rosters in the NHL and the NFL to a lesser extent. Al Davis and whatever lame duck he hires come to mind these days. Edited by: white is right

Was reading a pretty long article about the death by suicide of Dave Duerson, a safety on the legendary '85 Bears team and a 4-time Pro Bowler, and after football he had several business interests, which did all right for a while but then eventually crashed. Seemed like a pretty solid character guy, but then towards the end, after reading the obligatory comments about what a great guy he was,I read howDuerson had a conviction for domestic assault.

So I think, why is it that when people think of White men one of the first things that comes to mind is "White men can't jump" -- apejorative that is easily refuted by a mountain of evidence to the contrary-- but when the topic is black men it's never "Black men beat women."

Maybe the media should start putting an asterisk afterthe name of adult black maleswho have never been charged or convicted of beating their wife or girlfriend.

That's a great idea, Don! The double standard makes so many topics off limits to discussion, but in a free world, these kinds of facts would be routinely discussed out in the open.

Hunter Hillenmeyer and Kevin Shaffer, two of the very few White players on the Bears to start on occasion, have both been released. Hatie looks to be keeping pace with Mike Tomlin and Raheem Morris in the contest to have the blackest roster for 2011.

Oh man, I'm going to have to tell my father in law about this latest anti-White move by his "team." Thanks for posting about this, Don.
