Great night by Kevin Love! I still don't understand why there's a rift there between Rambis and him. Love has the skills and talent to be an all-star for years to come.

With 3 young children, I cannot even imagine how badly he'll get a$$-raped in divorce court. His skank hispanic wife will undoubtedly get the house, car(s), 2 decades of child support, alimony, and who knows what else.

I can't really describing what I'm seeing (and it happens many times), why have children if your gonna just split and divorce? That's really setting a bad example for everyone. I feel bad for Nash's children, for them to grow up with parents apart. Still, best of luck to Nash. I agree that being single is quite a blessing.
Kevin Love follows up his epic 30-30 game with another strong performance despite his team losing 111-105 to the Hawks. Love notches 22 points & 17 rebounds in 40 minutes. Coach Rambis seems generous on him for now. If Love gets to play 35-40 minutes for much of the season, he's the NBA's rebounding king in both average & per 48 minutes. There's also a reasonable chance for Love to make the 2011 All-Star game.
Pau Gasol and Steve Nash were both brilliant today. Nice to see 2 of the 3 future White HOFers (other is Nowitzki) at their best. Gasol had 28 points & 17 rebounds, while Nash had 21 points & 13 assists (ZERO TO's). The Lakers-Suns game was very entertaining with the Suns hitting a team record 22 Three-Pointers and earning a much needed 121-116 win over the Lakers. Turkoglu was also huge, with 17 points and hitting a huge triple right in Kobe's face. Both Gasol and Nash seem to get better with age. They both should make the 2011 All-Star game.
Manu Ginobili is quietly having a career year. Like Nash & Gasol, he seems to get better with age also. He had 21 points in a 117-104 Spurs win over the Thunder. Matt Bonner was scintillating with 21 points also and going perfect from down-town (7-7 3pts). Ginobili also has a reasonable shot for the 2011 All-Star game.
Luis Scola is clearly benefiting from last year's breakout season. He continues to get better with age too. He made 24 points in a 104-96 Rockets win over the ever struggling Knicks. While a longshot, Scola is definitely All-Star material.

Just wanted to say that I enjoyed watching Dirk go off for 36 points tonight despite the loss. The guy is a legend. I cannot repeat this enough! With the Caste System getting stronger all the time, I don't know if we will ever see a true superstar who is one of the best scorers/shooters that ever lived. He makes us all feel proud. Keep it up Dirk. You truley are amazing!

Some very disappointing games last night for Budinger and Kevin Love who both went scoreless. Darko Milicic was finally able to put together a good game and had 23 points. 16 rebounds and 6 blocked shots. With his athleticism he's one of the best shot blockers in the league but he still has a very inconsistent offensive game.
I'm half-pleased with the NBA season so far. Italy has not 1, not 2, but 3 STALLIONS. Bargnani is having a career season in scoring, and if he can only fix his rebounding issues, he's definitely an All-Star. Gallinari has been brilliant as of late after a slow start. He can say he's not a superstar anytime, but he's quietly heading that direction. Belinelli is having a break-out season after 3 tough seasons, he's definitely an ideal back-court mate for Chris Paul.

The Heat need him. The Heat are thoroughly mediocre, but Big Z had a good game against Memphis and
Arroyo is shooting lights out from three.
Mike Miller is the deep threat and facilitator that they need. Miller will take the pressure off Lebron, Wade, and Bosh.
Lebron is looking mediocre this year. He is not a scorer like Jordan, or a facilitator/leader like Magic. Closer to a Karl Malone/ Clyde Drexler runner up type player. And Bosh is weak. The Big Three won't get it done by themselves. They will need Haslem (who is currently injured) and the three white players to get it done (Miller, Z, Arroyo).
White bigs doing well, as are the white point guards. But the white swing men can do better.

Danilo Gallinari tied his career-best of 31 points in a Knicks win over the Kings. He's been smoking hot as of late, after a slow start due to a wrist injury. I consider him a MORE ATHLETIC version of Peja Stojakovic, and he may be the white & Euro version of Reggie Miller, Dale Ellis, and Ray Allen. The comments he made about himself as not a star player were simply to draw unnecessary attention & distractions away from him. But, he's quietly becoming a superstar.
Andrea Bargnani knocks in 29 points in a big 102-101 Raptors win of the SOULtics (Celtics). Bargs is fast proving he can shoot & score at will, but had only 2 rebounds though. He's playing with 2 rebounding monster in Amir Johnson & Reggie Evans. He really needs to work harder in boxing out to get defensive rebounds. No wonder the SOFT label is now being pinned on him.

Here's my take on this Asian-American player from Harvard...
Jeremy Lin... has the makings of a solid (possibly All-Star level) player. He's got quick lateral movements, he's fast and ATHLETIC. He makes good decisions, pin-point passing, and hustles well on both ends. He's NOT afraid to go into traffic to draw fouls, and is a very capable slasher. He's automatic from the FT line, the only issue for Lin is his jump-shot, which needs more work for better consistency. Otherwise, he definitely BELONGS in the NBA!

Danilo is a heck of a player. Pure shooter. He makes it look like an art form but he can also take the ball to the rim too. One to keep an eye on. Gasol is having the best year of his career. So many guys to be excited about. Let's hope this continues.
I want to see Tyler Hansbourough develop into a future all star. He has so much talent but he needs to stay healthy and get more minutes. I'm hoping within a few years, he can get to the next level.

I'm disappointed with Josh McRoberts. He showed some promise the first few games of the season but has been playing poorly.

Kind of old news, but Greg Oden is out for the season. He never played one minute this season.
He last played on December 5th 2009. I read that Portland isn't going to exercise their option for him. He'll probably end up on some team.

Not many want to call him a bust just yet due to his age (22), and his stats (11.1 points, 8.5 rebounds, 2.3 blocks last year) when healthy.Deadlift said:

To many, The biggest bust label still falls on Darko.
Many don't seem to understand that Darko was NEVER given consistent playing time except in the 06-07 & 07-08 seasons. He was mentally traumatized under Larry Brown
McRoberts is being allowed to play 20-30 minutes a game, but he's mostly being used to distribute the ball in their offensive schemes.
Hansbrough (like Oden) seems to have constant injuries and health problems.
Spencer Hawes starts, but only gets 15-20 minutes a game. Doug Collins is really being hard on him when he commits a mistake on both offense & defense.
Kirk Hinrich is playing solid for Washington. He's a locked 35-40 minutes starter, playing solid ball on both offense & defense. He'll have 10+ point on most night, with the occasional 20+ point night. It may also help that Washington is a mediocre team, but Hinrich has proven more than enough to be part of a winning team. I hope Hinrich uses this season to get traded to a better team. Edited by: j41181

Hinrich is a good player. Yeah, wrong team. He would be perfect on the Lakers or Celtics or even the Thunder.
If he were on the Celtics he could sub in for either Ray Allen or Rajon Rondo.
He would also be the PERFECT starting point guard for the Heat. Good distributor and ball handler, great defender, can play either guard spot, and can hit the three. He would make a great fourth option for the Heat after the Big Three. He and Z would complete the starting five. Bring Udonis Haslem, Mike Miller, and the three headed point guard trio of Eddie House, Carlos Arroyo, and Mario Chalmers off the bench.
Henrich is making a ton of money, but if they could trade Joel Anthony (lots of money, 1.6 points per game), Mario Chalmers (young, good talent, good defender), and James Jones (three point shooter, young) for Captain Kirk, they should do it in a second. The Wizards should do it if they want to get younger and find some guys to build around John Wall.
Regarding the T Wolves, Love is great, Darko is playing well, and Beasley is a pure scorer. The thing that always bugged me on Hinrich is his CONFIDENCE. He's not had any career-threatening injuries at all, he just lost his confidence and it traces back to the '07-08 season. The court vision & defense is still there, he just needs to rediscover his jump-shot and overall ability to score. He can be a solid starter or 6th man with ANY team.
The league's most hyped team, Miami, just lost again 93-77 to the Pacers. Wade had the worst game of his career (1-13 FG's, 3 points). It's definitely NOT a happy camp over there.

Lebron has been overrated as a dunker. Even in the past several years, Kobe, Vince Carter, and Dwight Howard have competed in the dunk contest. I think it shows Lebron's lack of heart.
He doesn't make players better either. Guys around him are just there to rebound and shoot jump shots.

Jeff Van Gundy, you pathetic little worm! I'm watching the ORL-MIA game, and at one point, the Magic are running a fastbreak, with JJ Reddick ahead of everyone on the right wing. Nelson passes him the ball, and JJ collides with the ref Joey Crawford, the ref falls down, Reddick gets a shot off, but is fouled by Wade.

He started in place on an injured Carter (sprained left knee), and played 42 minutes (season-high). The Magic trounce the over-hyped & overrated Heat 105-94. Redick was brilliant all-night, scoring 20 points, to go with 4 rebounds, 5 assists, and 1 steal. I hope this game will help Redick earn more minutes.
Darko Milicic is no doubt playing the best basketball of his entire career. He has scored 10+ points in 5 straight games, 20+ points in his last 3 games. He's really coming alive now, putting his potential in full display. Gotta congratulate Rambis at some point for allowing much needed freefom for both Darko, and Kevin Love. Cheers! Edited by: j41181

Bargnani & Calderon look like a potential 1-2 white duo punch (reminds me of the Dirk-Nash duo from 1998-2004). The Raptors earn a much-needed 106-90 win over the struggling 76ers. With Jack traded to the Hornets, Jose Calderon is once again the team's designated PG. I hope the Raps won't don't do a Mark Cuban-like move, let Calderon & Bargnani grow old together (kinda sounds homo)

I agree j41181. We can call them the Dynamic Duo. Haha. They really play well with each other. I still wouldn't mind seeing Dallas make a push to get Nash back. He is playing some fantastic basketball. Also since his wife divorced him, he seems like he has a chip on his shoulder. Put him and Dirk back together one last time. They may be old but they sure can play!

He would be great on Miami, Boston, or the Lakers but he would still be a sixth man.
I think his best fit would be with the Thunder at the starting shooting guard spot to complement Durant and Westbrook.
Or perhaps he could be the deep threat on the Timberwolves starting ahead of Wesley Johnson.
Him and Love and Darko along with Ridnour and (hopefully) Rubio would be fun to watch. Those guys would be great passers and defenders along with being a good all around team.
Once Reddick builds on his last game he will get more minutes. What they need to do is play him at the 2 guard and Vince Carter at small forward. Either way he should get about 25-30 minutes a night.
Dallas would also be a good fit, but I feel that Reddick is in a good situation.
