McCain won Senate primary

Well, I didn't think Juan McAmnesty would have pulled this off. Apparently Hayworth dropped the ball somewhere along the way. Funny how McLame lied through his teeth and did a 180 on immigration - just before the election. Now he's Mr. McHardliner. Ha ha.

PHOENIX, ARIZONA (BNO NEWS) â€" Former U.S. president candidate John McCain won the Republican Senate primary in Arizona with a comfortable lead against his Tea Party movement challenger.

Senator McCain will now focus on beating his Democratic rival in November after winning a little over 56 percent of the primary vote, with J.D. Hayworth, Tea Party movement supporter, winning only 32 percent. He will be running against Rodney Glassman in November, an American businessman and Democrat. He currently serves as in the Judge Advocate General's Corps (JAG) of the U.S. Air Force. Glassman entered the race for U.S. Senate in April 2010, stepping down from his position as Vice Mayor of Tucson, Arizona to run.

BBC reports that John McCain spent roughly $20 million on his primary campaign after J.D. Hayworth showed strong early poll results. The effort seemingly paid off, as the former U.S. Presidential candidate took a harder position on gay rights, as well as leading the opposition against President Obama's healthcare reform legislation, and jumped ahead in the polls during the final stretch of campaigning for the primaries.

If the people are really that easy to fool then there isn't much hope. A little tough talk at election time and the poor dupes of Arizona sent McCain back to the Senate so he and his buddy Lindsey Graham can resume their life's work of undermining their interests. When the government grants another amnesty and institutionalizes (formerly) illegal immigration McCain will no doubt be front and center leading the way.

Despite this sugar coating, the pill of another six years of John McCain is very tough to swallow.

But rather than get discouraged, we should learn a few lessons to help us in the future.

Never Trust the Establishment Conservative Movement: This cannot be said enough. They might say they support immigration control when it helps them raise money. But they don't mean it. We should always encourage them to do the right thingâ€"but for patriotic immigration reformers, it is important to support PACs and institutions outside of the conservative movement.
Do not Trust Sarah Palin or Jan Brewer: None of these women did anything good on immigration before SB 1070. They are both happy to be the respective queens of the Tea Party Movement and the Anti-Amnesty Movement. But their commitment is thin.
Money in Politics is Our Enemy: Conservatives somehow think that campaign finance reform will somehow destroy conservatism. Regardless of the other pros and cons of the policy, we need to remember corporations and the wealthy are almost always on the wrong side of the immigration question.
"Enforcement"Â cannot be the litmus test: McCain actually admitted in the campaign that he wanted more "guest workers"Â, and he did not completely run away from amnesty. What he essentially did was push "enforcement first." It would have been harder for him to do this 180 if the issues of legal immigration and opposition to any sort of legalization were seen (correctly) to be as important as border security.
Voters have short memories: This is really the toughest problem to fix. No matter what McCain and his MSM allies say, I still find it really hard to believe that anyone in Arizona who even read the newspaper twice a year wouldn't remember him as the Number One promoter of amnesty. They all oppose amnesty and rate it as a top issue. I still cannot understand why they would vote for McCain. My only guess is that the general lull in immigration discussion from the General election in 2008 through SB 1070 was enough to make people forget. We need to continue to pound this issue, and the politicians, even when it is not

I now have doubts about Jan Brewer. She vigorously campaigned for McCain. Her past indicates she was marching in unison with McCain and his political machine.

Earlier in the year polls showed McCain to be in huge trouble with his opponent gaining ground. The smell of a Hayworth victory was in the air.

She arrives on the scene breathing fire and creating huge waves with SB 1070. Great timing! Finally, someone taking the bull by the horns and fighting for the fed-up Whites. Our new hero and champion!She then campaigned extensively for scoundrel McCain. Could it be all this commotion was just an elaborate ruse concocted by the McCain camp?After all the proposition was shot down by a judicial flunky. That could not have come as a surprise to McCain and Brewer. A lot of noise, fireworks, smoke and mirrors and when the dust settles, McCain BENEFITS the most by having tough talking border control advocate Jan Brewer at his side. What a team they'd make! What's the old saying? "The best way to control the opposition is to lead it."

very bad news...somebody should do a documentary on all of the reversals/denials involved in McCain's career.

is he still working, here people nearly always stop with work when they are 65 and still alive.Myabe he can be president whn he is 80 years old
