Correct me, if I am wrong, please, I know almost nothing about American football and NFL, and I am not interested in this sport either - but one thing really astounded me:

The data of vertical leap are so incredible that they look very fishy to me. 45 inches=114.3 cm?! Don't you know, how it is actually measured? I watched some videos and the tests looked like traditional Sargent's tests. Still, I have never heard about a higher vertical jump than 94,5 cm (37') in a Greek triple jumper. Michael Jordan actually reached 93 cm, when he was officially tested. The US volleyball team had an average 92 cm (following 4 steps), but the average of the best ten NFL guys would be over 40 inches (101.6 cm), which I hesitate to accept.

The performances in the broad jump are much more believable, by the way. 11 feet=335 cm is lower than in athletes of elite world's calibre. And I must correct my data: Michael Jordan achieved 91.3 cm in the vertical jump and 116 cm in the vertical jump with a run-up.

The comments below the video say that the NFL numbers are inflated. I would agree with this.

With a running start, this kid who is only 6 feet tall has over a 50 inch vertical. He is built very normal so some guys can really jump out of the gym. I agree though that many of the 40 times and the vertical leaps listed in the NFL are slightly exagerated.
