Matt Jones and Vince Young are very Similar Players both are athletic freaks but not the greatest passers.

Granted Vince young plays for a much better team than Matt did but the national press has established Vince as a household name while never hyping Matt until his ridiculous 4.4 at the combine. Vince young is being labeled a once in a lifetime athletic specimen even though Matt is a better athlete. Vince young will play QB in the N.F.L but for some reason Matt had to be converted to receiver. It sad when one of the greatest athletes ever is almost converted to a tightend.

Good point white tornado. That is the result of the Caste System on the NFL and college. If nobody sees the double standard, its because they have been blinded by the system.

I am going to question that 40 time for Vince. He is a good runner, but I have seen linebackers (ie. Ohio State game) catch him from behind. UT is very one dimensional with Vince at QB. If I were OU, I would run a man-free defense with the strong safety in the box as an extra LB. Ohio State almost shut down UT's offense with their great LBs. If OU puts a SS in the box, they can stop UT.

Your right SteveB thats what he was timed by hand probeble by his coaches. If Vince Young runs at the combine he will probable run 4.50 to 4.55. Not Matt Jones but still good. The player with the most exaggerated 40 is Marcus Vick. I was watching them play Georgia Tech and the announcers kept going on about Marcus's supposed 4.28 forty. This is the same Vick who the season before the little 16 year old girl/ speeding/ weed incident ran a 4.6. You can tell by looking at him play he runs a 4.6. The sad thing is people believe the hype. These same people believe the Mike Vick comercial where he throws the ball 130 yard was real..

the only numbers you should believe are electronic timing at the combine.

Matt Jones and the Jags will be on Sunday Night Football this week.Is there any chance that maybe they will throw to him a little more?Damn, what is wrong with these people. You have a world class talent that they rarely use.It just doesn't make sense. They drafted him in the first round,so play him and throw him the damn ball.Sorry guys, but I get so sick of this crap.

Most people outside of the virginia tech world believeVick'sforty is no better then 4.6. He is only getting about 3 yards per carry on his runs. I think both Kellen Clemens, Jay Cutler, and Drew Stanton are much better scramblers, but because their white nobody in the media will admit it.
