Good stuff Guest301 but the best athlete in the nba is Kirilenko.  This video is good.  Just turn off your speakers please.!!!!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dCxYqcsbkJw

Yes I know of this guy very well. I am not into much fantasy sports but my best friend a few years ago got into fantasy basketball around the time that AK47 was in the early stages of his career. My friend asked me to pick a sleeper late in the draft for his team and I told him to go with Kirilenko because he filled up the stat sheet with points, blocks, steals and rebounds. My friend won his pool that year largely because of AK 47.

A flagrant foul of the vicious kind may await Chase in the near future.

Depends on the player. I doubt most of the "bruthas" would just hit Chase out of spite (a lengthy suspension is also a deterrent, although Stern is a coward).

If it happens, it would probably be someone like Kenyon Martin (who has even been called a "thug" by the Kings owner for crushing Spencer Hawes while in the air). Ron Artest or Alan Iverson (if he returns) isn't out of the question either. Chase better make sure he doesn't talk trash while OWNING a player like those guys either, or he could wind up with a torn up knee.

Keep the highlight reel dunks coming Chase! Don't back down!

AK is a remarkable player, but he had a huge drop off in production after 06. He seems to be bouncing back somewhat, but he's not nearly back to his peak, when he was easily one of the best players in the league, and one of the most unusual. Twenty years ago, if a player had that kind of drop off without a serious injury one would suspect that he had a drug problem, but AK just seems to have just fallen apart for no apparent reason. Didn't he and Sloan have falling out that caused AK to go into a funk? His offensive game isn't really suited for Utah. He would be dynamite on Phoenix; he's tailor-made for Nash ball. AK is still only 28, so there's time for him to rebound completely - if he gets in the right system and he makes the effort.

I remember one commentator once saying if any player in the league has a chance to get a quadruple double it would be AK. I could see him getting at least ten points, ten rebounds, ten assists, and ten blocks in a game. It is a long shot but he has that potential.

Absolutely. From 04 -06 AK looked like potential MVP. His mix of skills was highly unusual, and his defense was top notch. He was a real lock-down defender, capable of matching straight up with Kobe, LeBron, anyone. Then he just dropped off dramatically. It seems that many of the talented Europeans are content to reach a certain level and then coast. It must be difficult for them to come over here and take charge of a team: I imagine they run into a great deal of hostility from teammates. The Argentines, on the other hand, don't seem to have this problem. Both Nocioni and Ginoboli come to play with a take no prisoners attitude. Give AK Nocioni's attitude and AK would be in contention for the MVP. Heck, give Darko Nocioni's motor and Darko might win defensive player of the year.

I thought Barkley or Olajuwon had a Quadruple double at some point. Didn't Kidd? I'm sure Kidd had a Quad with points/assists/rebounds/turnovers. Not necessarily what you'd like to see, though. Wait a minute. . . I just answered my own question: there have been four quads: Olajuwon, David Robinson, Alvin Robertson, and Nate Thurmond. (The internet is amazing.) I should have thought of Roberston. I'm surprised Fat Lever didn't get one, or Jordan - or Bird or Magic. I'm sure that back in the day West Baylor, Oscar, Wilt, Russell, Pettit, and many of the old timers managed the feat. The year Wilt led the league in assists he must have had several. With AK's mix of skills he could get a Quint (points/assists/rebounds/blocks/steals) if everything fell into place and he played 48 minutes or so.

Wow I thought it never happened before in the NBA but just looked it up. AK is capable of reaching that feat though. I think the addition of Carlos Boozer is the reason AK's numbers are down.

I just looked the matter up on Wiki, and Olajuwon and AK are the only players to record multiple 5x5s (5 of each of the major stats), and they are the only two to have an official 5x6 - and AK did it in regulation. AK has had 3 5x5s, but none since 2006. The guy either peaked extremely early, or he's in the wrong system. If he were running the floor with Phoenix, or even the Mavs or Hawks, he could probably light up the stat sheet again.

I love it. I would love to see what he could do if he started every game for several months. Chase fits in so good with the Rockets. It's like he has played there for a few years. I hope he makes all the other nba teams look stupid for letting him drop to the 2nd round. Future all star if they will belive in him!

Well now, C-Bud hasn't played this well in quite a while, good for him! It's even better by the fact it was his first game as a starter, even with T-Mac back.

16 points (6-11 FG's, 1-5 3pt's, 3-3 FT's)
12 rebounds
5 assistsEdited by: j41181

They just need to belive in Chase. He should be a starter. How many guards can pull down 12 boards with ease. He could have had a triple double with a little bit more effort all in his first start. He will be Tmacs replacement next season i.m.o.

Lute Olson said that Chase was his best recruit ever. It's too bad he didn't really get to play for him with everything that happened. Chase had to play for 3 different coach's and still had a good college career. He can be an all star if Houston gives him the chance. Within 2-3 years I can see it happening.

Great game. Congrats Chase!

The local sports talk radio host was gushing about this play that Chase made in last night's game.

But he has been making athletic plays like this for the past couple of months. Here are a few more:

Very nice game last night for Chase Budinger with 24 points and 6 boards on 9 for 13 shooting. He's shown flashes of his future potential but needs to be a bit more consistent.

I see a Pippen-like player in him.

Like Pippen, Budinger is without question a BIG draft steal!

He just needs to be a bit more consistent and get his shooting percentage up. Hopefully next season he will do that.

Rockets traded Trevor Ariza for Courtney Lee. This should be great news for Chase Budinger, opening up the 3 spot for him to be the starter.Edited by: icsept

Don't get too excited. They still have Shane Battier at the 3. He is still an excellent defender even though he is up there in years. I expect Chase to come off the bench to provide the offensive punch that Battier lacks. Maybe in a season or 2, Chase can start.Edited by: Freethinker

Battier is more of a pure shooter. He doesn't have the athletic ability of Chase but he's a veteran so we will have to see what happens with this one.

I have no idea what the Rockets are doing. They were gonna go with defense and hard-nosed basketball then they traded Carl Landry. Now they trade Trevor Ariza. If Yao Ming and Kevin Martin don't stay healthy then they will be in trouble.

Budinger should have a good year and he will get more minutes at both the 2 and the 3.
He is in a pretty good position: more opportunity for minutes but not the pressure of being a full time starter (but I do think that he will get some starts).

The Rockets are 3-8 and going nowhere fast. Shane Battier is showing his age (32) and his numbers this year are horrible. Time to unleash Budinger!

Well it looks like Tony "good affelet" Parker has out done Butt Favre. This prick is reported to having an affair with his former team mate Brent Barry's wife Erin. Dumb Negro experimenter Eva Longoria found out and now wants a divorce. Brent Barry who has a child with his soon to be ex wife wants a divorce, once he found out. Affelets! back stabbing and trolling miscreants.
