League wide white vs black position battles

Here are the white vs black starter position battles that I can think of.
San Francisco, Adam Snyder vs Marvell Smith for a O-line position.
Oakland, Jamarcus Russell vs Jeff Garcia for QB (though I believe Russell is the favorite here), Ricky Brown vs a couple of blacks for one of the linebacker positions.
Carolina, Nick Hayden vs. I don't know who for D-line position.
Minnesota, Rosenfels vs Jackson for QB, Brian Robison vs. a black for starting D-line.
Cincinnatti, Ben Utecht and Chase Coffman vs Dan Coats for starting TE.

Isn't there a spot on the Oakland O-line?

I know Khalif Barnes will be out for a little while with a fractured ankle.

Many sumos' do get hurt, but the problem is that so many White linemen have been purged.


EDIT: I see that a black is getting the left tackle spot which is no surprise. I wonder if Oakland will do the "taboo" thing and give a White right tackle an opportunity to start..

Don't you mean Jeff Garcia?

If Coats ends up starting over Utecht and Coffman it will be a shame. Frankly, I'm not sure how he's in the league other than him being black and a decent blocker.

Oh yeah, Jeff Garcia, not Andy Garcia.

Marvell Smith is retiring, so Snyder should win the position, meaning the 49ers will have four whites starting on O-line, and I believe all white backups as well.
