From the story, he says he wants to stick with Baseball. What a shame. Like his coach says, talents like him come along very rarely. He has the potential to be a star in track. Chris can easily get a major Div. IA College Scholarship at many schools. Stick with what you are best at. I hope he continues to sprint.

I just saw Christian Blum race (thanks for the video posts). He's got that stride that few white sprinters have, he definitely has that potential to go a sub 10/20 in the near future. The French teen also has a strong chance to go sub 10/20, French whites are not like US whites, they aim to be the BEST in what they do.

Very bad news guys. Christian Blum has had to pull out of the German Indoor Champs this weekend and he also might miss the Euro Indoor Championships as well. When he fell after winning his last race, he suffered a very bad leg/hip injury. He is not able to sprint or train at the moment and they have no idea how long it will take him to recover. This makes me so angry because I still think that he got his heel/spike stepped on intentionally and that caused him to fall. That is what it looks like in the video of the race. It was a very nasty fall. I hope it was only an accident but you never know these days. Sports is so competetive and there is alot of jealousy between athletes.

Here is to a speedy recovery to Blum. What a sad, sad time to get hurt. He was in the best shape of his life and Christian was a legitimate medal threat at the Championships. Let's pray he can recover fully and kick some butt outdoors!

It's a shame Blum couldn't have been in that race.

And they are all aged 23 or younger.
I cant wait to sprint and play soccer again.I am injured for 3 months now from a soccer match.I play 2 e divison now with a little contract that ends 1 july.if i do not get a new one I will only sprint from then on.
I also do economics next to it.

Your right about 5 white sprinters so far. There are also alof more of our guys at 6.60 who should break through soon. This list could grow up to as many as 10 guys before the indoor season ends. What I want to see is for a couple of guys break through into the rare 6.40's range. No sprinter in the world has run that time this year. Morne Nagel and the white hurdler from Canada,(forgot his name) are the only whites to run in the 6.40's range in the 60 meters. Let's hope we can get one of our guys to step it up to that range soon.

For those of you that don't know, the world record in the 60 meters is 6.39 by M.Greene.

Any updates on Christophe McConnell? I hope he is doing good. The last time I was at dyestat.com, I noticed him being listed in the top 60 times but not in the 200 meter times. Hunter Furr, another white sprinter who is also a stud running back is listed in both. This kid is a beast. Built like a mack track! Good luck to both of them this season.

I'm still bummed about Blum getting hurt. What a terrible time for an injury. He had a very good chance at a new personal best, a medal and a nice payday in Torino. Man do I hope he heals quickly. He will have to get his fitness back for this summer. It takes longer than people think to get into peak track form. You also can only peak for so long. You have to optomize your training and racing regimine along with proper nutrition, a good massause(hot blonde chick) and a good trainer for the weight room. I have as much respect for track athletes as any athlete in the world. They put their bodies through hell year round to compete at the highest levels. Kind of similar to a bodybuilder and boxer. Total dedication!

Christian Blum will be back! You can count on that. This kid will make people remember his name. They might even name a german beer after him when all is said and done. The beer to get you buzzed in sub 10! That was chessy but who cares.Hehehehe.

massachusetts doesnt have a 200m indoor, we run the 300m @ the reggie lewis center. thats why mssconnell doesnt have a time there. on a leg of his 4x200m he ran lead leg w/o blocks and ran a 21.8 split. so yaaaa...not only that but hes already at 6.42 before the state meet and new englands, and he p.r.s bigtime with good competition. he runs low 6.4s always even when everyone else in his division is like me at 6.8. he will get mid 6.3s and win new englands as a junior.

once one of our guys breaks 10 sec, i think they all will. the 60m splits are already there for like 5 or six of them. and their 60s are all improving. i think blum and lemaitre will eventually kill 10, and get what i think is the pinnacle of a non drugged human: 9.8x. pickering,kuc, and cerruti will probably get like a 9.9x if they break 10. Once we do that, we whites will have open jobs at rb, cb, wr, and bball. track is the key!,it is the keystone of erasing black domination of western sports.

Even if a white wins the 100 meter gold in the olimpics I doubt it will have an impact in footballs caste system.

While agree that White sprinters will undoubtedly break the 10 second barrier, i highly doubt it will change all that much in football or basketball. However that is your opinion and i respect that, and frankly i hope you are right.

There's no doubt in me that whites will break 10 seconds, what will be very hard to reverse from the caste system in sports is the health and durability of white athletes.

I have seen many prominent white athletes in many sports (especially Baseball, Football, and Basketball) who suffer near constant injuries that shorten their careers and impacts on their respective sports.

Jason Sehorn, was a very good cornerback, but he would have been one of the best had it not been for injuries. Chris Mullin, was a very good player, like Sehorn, injuries got the better of him. Mark McGwire, should have crossed 600+ home runs, but injuries prevented him from ever reaching that elite mark.

The White sprinters of this generation, despite their great potential to break 10 seconds, are bound to suffer various injuries at some point. This is a predicament caste-lovers are hoping for, 'cause an injury seems unthinkable to Usain Bolt at this moment.

Another dilemma white athletes face is all the illegal performance drug stuffs. Guys like McGwire, Armstrong, Landis, Kenteris...etc., have all been subject to illegal drug scrutinies. It really pains me to post this stuff, but it's a really for whites in sports right now.

For every white athlete that has gotten hurt or battled injuries, you also have many stars that have played their entire careers injury free.

John Stockton, Brent Barry, Brett Favre, Howie Long, Steve Largent, Wayne Chrebet, and many, many others. I have seen more than my share of black athletes get hurt as well. Look at Grant Hill for starters. His whole career has been one injury after another.

White sprinters will go sub 10 and it will be a huge psychological lift for them and for other white athletes. Boxing has seen whites go from virtually non existent to dominating. In Basketball we have made strides and are continuing to push the envelope. Adam Morrison, JJ Reddick and Tyler Hansborough just to start. In college and pro football, we are making progress. Look at what Peyton Hillis did last year. Hester will get his opportunity before too long and others will follow.

I have also said that a white man going sub 10 is one of the last huge physical hurdles whites must conquer. We are strong, have great endurance, tremendous hand to eye coordination, great jumping ability and very good speed on the average. We match up with anyone across the board. Whites and blacks are the most athletic people in the world by far. Asians, and hispanics on the average are not even close.

I belive several white sprinters will go sub 10 within the next decade. I also think a few will go into the 9.8 range. If we get rid of some more of the roided up cheats, we will win the title of fastest man in the world again. That will go very far in changing peoples perceptions and should help white athletes in sports will speed is required to be successful.

The first white man to get a medal in the 100m since Allan Wells needs to hold his fist high on the podium. I think I'd cry.

I knew I should have taken German. Who am I kidding I never even considered it, but I should have. He will improve vastly this year. Him and Lemaitre.

So why only Blum and Lemaitre? I agree that they will get faster but I think it's funny how so many people have already written Craig off! What a joke. How quickly some fans jump off the bandwagon. Oh well. The times will make them jump back on later this summer.

Maybe both Christian Blum and Pickering should consider running the 200 to build some speed endurance. Now there is a thought to seriously consider.

Because I said vastly improve. Lemaitre and Blum have modest PRs in the 100 compared to their potential. I still think the fastest is Craig, and then Cerutti.

I agree most successful 100 meter runners could run well in the 200 too.

LOL, you are overly defensive of your Craig WL. I will always love him the most too, and think he is the biggest white medal contender in 2012 with Blum and Lemaitre closely behind. Cerutti is the one I am not so sure about in the big races, but as far as talent goes he is equal to Craig when at his best.

Blum has had a nice progression up until last season. I am expecting a break out season this summer. Here is a cool bio page with his times since he was a teenager. I will predict he gets into the 10.15 range this season at the very least. Hopefully he will go beyond that. I just want him to put on some more muscle.

Well I'm not jacknyc, but I just drank two red bulls and I'm addicted to CF so you guys are crazy if you don't think I am going to respond.

Pickering is the medal threat because of his talent and Christian Blum also because he is competing in Berlin. The Germans will do very well because of this. I would love to see Unger, Schwab, and the other German in the 10.2 range all do well along with Blum. Cerutti in my opinion will PR huge but doesn't peak at the end of the season. Simone Collio will be very solid this year, along with lemaitre. I think Connaughton and Macrozonaris could emerge as dark horses too.
