Wladimir Klitschko vs David Haye July 2011

I caught some of the telecast again and Vitali-Adamek was mentioned in a graphic on the bottom of the screen. I assume Vitali-Adamek will be on tape delay and the Gamboa fight will be shown afterwards.

Wladimir Klitschko vs David Haye July 2011

Didn't they mention Vitali-Adamek on the telecast? It seems vaguely familiar, but I wasn't really paying attention.

Wladimir Klitschko vs David Haye July 2011

Haye was all hype, as we all knew. His heavyweight career has been mediocre, at best. Typically, the more someone talks trash, the more boring their performance. They have to sell the fight with their mouth because they can't sell it with their fists.

David Haye: The Great Black Hype

That's ironic considering that their physiques are actually quite similar. Obviously Wlad is much bigger, and therefore has bigger muscles, but looking at the weigh-in pics, I noticed that their proportions are very similar.

Haye weighed in at 212 lbs. He's still a Cruiserweight! I love when these guys claim they can't make the weight anymore and have to move up. Yeah right.

White boxer robbed of deserved win on HBO

Speaking of robberies, I just saw Macklin-Sturm. Macklin won that fight clearly and decisively. But even the British commentator had the fight even. WTF! What fight was he watching? Macklin beat his ass. This is right up there with Kotelnik-Alexander, Bell-Brown, and Shumenov-Campillo in...

    UFC Live: Kongo vs. Barry

His mom is black and his dad is white. It was mentioned on one of the Countdown shows.

    Nate Marquardt

The guy from the commission said it was something that they (and Marquardt) knew about for six weeks, and that he had six weeks to correct the issue. ???

His eyes are very light, maybe gray?

    Gennady Golovkin

160 isn't a great division anyway. Although Sturm isn't a big guy either, so that could be a possibility for him at 160. (Sturm's career has been stuck in the mud for so long. I wouldn't mind a hungry, ambitious white fighter taking his place in the middleweight division.) Otherwise, fights...

    Gennady Golovkin

Overall it was a good performance. He showed power, resolve, and great stamina. I'm not sure why he camped out on the inside, where Oumma did his best work. It reminded me of Zbik against Chavez. Why not move your feet and clinch on the inside? Golovkin is under-sized. His trainer says...

    Dirk Nowitzki

Dirk scored 62 points in the 4th quarter throughout the series, Wade and Lebron combined for 62! And most of that was Wade. Lebron disappeared down the stretch, time and time again. Dirk and the Mavericks were finishers, that was the difference in the series. Congratulations, Dirk!

Roy Jones Jr. vs. Denis Lebedev

Bute will be busy with Mendy, maybe Kessler or Pavlik, Super Six winner. He's got plenty of options at 168, so Hopkins shouldn't really be on his radar at this point.

    Frochy v Johnson & Ward v Abraham

Abraham doesn't seem to have the stamina for a 12 round fight. He used to take the first three or four rounds off, knowing he could turn up the heat in the last two thirds of the fight. That's just not going to work against top tier talent. Compubox credited Abraham with landing significantly...
