The three juiced female Jamaican sprinters go 1-2-3 with the winner running 10.54? Cmon bust them already!! What a freaking farce women’s sprinting is. It is so obvious...

Crouwser, mcsweyn, ingabritsen and the gal who won the high jump all stood out today. Kambungi definitely on the juice wins the 200m Prandini faded to fourth

I absolutely agree.
Think about this - Jamaica has about 3 million people, yet somehow this tiny nation with a population less than most major cities across the world, has been a dominant force in the in track for 30 years. This is very reminiscent of East Germany, who were also dominate in track in the 70s and 80s, yet had a population of only 16 million.

Meanwhile, here is Elaine Thompson Herah's profile photo from World Athletics.

and here is Sheila Ann Fraser Pryce's photo from several years ago when she came to prominence.

You will notice both are wearing braces. Like Marion Jones. Like Barry Bonds.
A sign of the HGH (human growth hormone) usage.

There's a lot of cheating in track. Especially in the sprints. But it's hard to catch the cheaters.
Another thing I've noticed is that recently we are seeing more and more top class athletes from smaller and/or poorer countries.
Presumably there are less developed testing programs and less testing done overall, but I don't know that for sure.
In any event, it's discouraging (to me) to see these outrageous times, especially from older sprinters; and to see someone come out of nowhere to win a gold medal in the 100m.
I am suspicious of a lot of track athletes. It's unfortunate.

The problem is the governing bodies of Track athletics won't bust these Caribbean nations otherwise they'd have to bust BOLT and we know they wont do that. These Caribbean athletes must be laughing all the way way to the proverbial bank. White sprinters like Schippers, Lemaitre, Wariner peaked in their early 20's and faded just like a natural(clean) sprinter does as they get older yet as we all know Caribbean sprinters, SA black sprinters etc etc Kenya etc etc don't fade as they get older they get faster.....ludicrous....

In the long run the Jamaicans are probably gonna have the world records for the men & women in the 100 and 200 meters. This is what happens when
a tiny island gets a free pass to do as they want with very little or no discipline. Yeah you don't go 1/2/3 in the Olympics and in Diamond Leagues without
some magical yams. The breakfast of champions. Nothing to see here folks, move right along. What a shame as it's gotten beyond absurd.

Young German Sprinter Julian Wagner does it again. He won today in a new p.b of 10.11 0.0 wind.

In the same race English Sprinter Tommy Ramdhan finished 2nd in a new p.b. of 10.16 0.0 wind!

Great job by these sprinters. I just wish they could have a got a nice legal tailwind. They ran these times
with no assistance what so ever towards the end of the long summer sprinting. Great news going forward!

Probably right about the J'maicans but I don't think Kambundji deserves that criticism - she's been chasing the top Europeans and making finals for 8 years and consistently but slowly raised the bar, which is what I'd expect of a motivated sprinters during their 20s who stay healthy. Switzerland aren't a little 3rd world island with all their eggs in the sprinting basket.
The following would seem to verify that story:

2014 11.20 Letzigrund, Zürich (SUI) 13 AUG 2014
2015 11.07 National Stadium, Beijing (CHN) 24 AUG 2015
2016 11.14 Weinheim (GER) 29 MAY 2016
2017 11.07 Bellinzona (SUI) 18 JUL 2017
2018 10.95 Zofingen (SUI) 13 JUL 2018
2019 11.00 Stadion Schützenmatte, Basel (SUI) 23 AUG 2019
2020 11.21 Stadion Hard, Langenthal (SUI) 05 AUG 2020
2021 10.95 Olympic Stadium, Tokyo (Jpn) 31st July 2021

2014 22.83 Letzigrund, Zürich (SUI) 15 AUG 2014
2015 22.64 National Stadium, Beijing (CHN) 27 AUG 2015
2016 22.78 Estádio Olímpico, Rio de Janeiro (BRA) 15 AUG 2016
2017 22.42 Zürich (SUI) 22 JUL 2017
2018 22.45 Olympiastadion, Berlin (GER) 11 AUG 2018
2019 22.26 Stadion Schützenmatte, Basel (SUI) 24 AUG 2019
2020 23.25 Bregyó Athletic Center, Székesfehérvár (HUN) 19 AUG 2020
2021 22.26 Olympic Stadium, Tokyo (JPN) 02 AUG 2021

AND THEN a 22.06 hard fought win with a too strong +2.4 wind in Oregon. While Prandini was poor at the Olympics, fading there too.

I agree. I don't think either Kambundji or Delponte are doing anything unusual. They do it the right way.

So I'm happy to see you back mastermulti. I was a little worried not seeing you for a couple of days. Especially because
I wanted to see what you thought of Brownings lastest race?

mate, painting the entire exterior of my brick house while in lockdown, constructing/tiling new front steps, making new decorative timber fretwork for my front porch, fixing new guttering to my garage ... it's all happening here!
I didn't see Browning's race so I'm unable to analyse it - I'll keep watch for it. Interested to see Warholm run 400 flat on Thursday

Come on mate. Your not fixing the house fast enough. I'm sure your wife isn't happy. Hahaha. Just joking. Great work and it's a good way to
spend the time while being very productive. I'm sure it's gonna look great when your done.

Haven't seen any videos of the race by Rohan Browning in Bern, Switzerland yet. Hope to still see one soon. Yes I'm pumped to watch to see
the Nordic Viking Karsten Warholm throw down a low 44 second time if the conditions are right!

I really think with good conditions he can set a new European record. It's Thomas Schonlebe's 44.33 from 1987 for goodness sake so it's not a great record in 2021, 1/3 century later.

posted also under "Tortu", but a great video of the men's 4 x 100.

Tortu ran so powerfully and with so much determination. Nice too for the 2 relay members who aren't individual 100 sprinters but held their own in a team with Jacobs and Tortu

would love to see Tortu's split

I agree. It's strange but I've heard many people say that Tortu runs better in relays than in the individual 100 meters. I must say sometimes I think
that too. It's like he doesn't feel as much pressure and stays loose and relaxed which is where a sprinters speed comes from. So many of our top guys
tighten up and end up fighting themselves to get down the track. It's all about total relaxation and let the speed flow through you. Filippo Tortu did
appear to be flying down the track and his leg lift and motion were near perfect! I still believe he has what it takes. So in an off year, an olympic gold
medal in the Olympics in the 4 x 100 Relay is a great ending. Hopefully he can build off it. Also now that he isn't the fastest man in Italy anymore, I hope
it will remotivate him to get back on track. Tortu is only 23 so he has plenty of time on his side but he needs to be in his peak for the next Olympics!

Wow you guys weren’t joking about Tortu. I’m a novice when it comes to analyzing track and field but I can say that when a guy is in sub 10 form he runs with a certain type of power. You can see the turnover in the legs and the whole body working as a unit almost as if there isn’t enough track because he just keeps accelerating. It’s a rare sight and he had it in this race.

according to wikipedia. That 100 split would have to be taken with a grain of salt (only 1/10th second increment) but he was running at his best so it shouldn't be too far wrong considering it has none of the vagaries of gun start/reaction time etc

Tommorow(September 5th) in Poland it will be a nice watch in the mens 200 meters. First off both Ramil Guliyev and Filippo Tortu are in the
race. There are also the 2 young polish sprinters Oliwer Wdowik and Jakub Pietrusa. These junior sprinters are in for a thrill. I will be gone all
day but will look forward to seeing the results. I'm hoping Tortu can break his 20.34 p.b. in the 200 meters from four years ago. He rarely
runs them anymore.
