A lot of trade rumors around Christian McCaffrey. I see the Watson for McCaffrey and picks a lot. Basically Panthers are in full rebuild mode and jettisoning Christian’s big contract allows for a faster rebuild. I have no problem here as Carolina is in both full-rebuild mode as well as full-blown Caste mode.

But I read an article that put a big smile on my face - Buffalo is seen as a trade destination. Please let this happen!!

A trade to Buffalo.....Now that’s just perfect.....
If they’d get another receiver (too bad Sills didn’t stick)....
Not sure what Buffalo would offer....picks, I guess....

Would be ideal to get CMac out of Carolina it seems. Saw the writing on the wall as soon as they hired that caste cuck Rhule.

Honestly this would be a dream match - CMC alongside Josh Allen and Cole Beasley... plus the several white defensive players... NE 2.0 in the making!

We can dream can't we about Cmac to the Bills. Maybe New England as well if they can get the qb situation fixed. I think Belichick would be fair to him. How can any team not play Cmac as much as possible. The kid does everything!

What type of production predictions is everyone thinking for McCaffrey this year?

My prediction: 265 carries, 1,219 yards, 14 TD; 77 rec, 778 yards, 6 TD

For what it is worth, this was my projected totals for the 2020 season and in the 3 games he played he was in track but exceeding in TDs as he had 5 rushing touchdowns and 1 receiving in only three games played!

Nice! Personally, I have no clue! Glad they got rid of Bridgewater, depends if they stick with Darnold going forward or if they screw it up and Draft Lance or Fields tomorrow. So I'm waiting until we figure out what's going on with their QB situation before I take my guess.

I think another 1,000/1,000 will be tough with Dan Arnold now on the team to get a lot of those middle range passes Christian would garner. I think (hope) we see some more screens and wheel routes for CMC this year.

He definitely has it in him to put together another campaign worthy of an MVP again.

TJ Watt had a hammy that caused him to leave Sunday’s game....
He was back at practice today.

Hopefully CM will be back in a week and a half.

Latest:

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Christian McCaffrey (hamstring) "is expected to miss a few weeks."
Rapoport said the Panthers aren't considering placing McCaffrey on injured reserve. That, of course, could change as the team evaluates the hamstring injury CMC picked up Thursday night against Houston.

Man I hope he recovers in time for the Falcons game. Would hate for Freeman, Hubbard, or some other bum to have a field day against that lousy defense and eat into McCaffrey's touches going forward.

Sounds like McCaffrey’s hamstring injury is not severe. A bit of a silver lining.

That's good to hear. I still hope they give him adequate rest and let him come back fully healed. No need to rush this thing because I think the Panthers are going to be fine this season if they play their cards right.

Agreed, he rests a couple weeks (this next one already being a long week given their Thursday game) and come back to play a 15 game season with 1200 yards rushing and 700-800 yards receiving. We need him to stay on track to one day make the Hall of Fame; he is that good.

C-Mac has been paid like a stud so at least he'll get a few dozen games going forward from someone.

Not trying to be a pessimist, but Mike Trout's calf was not supposed to be a huge issue either. 6-8 weeks maximum. Four and half months later and he's still not quite right. We're talking about a hamstring here. I won't believe it until I see him actually playing and running the he was before the injury. Hoping for the best, but as has been stated, no need to rush or it will be a constant problem.

C-Mac listed as "doubtful" for this week. As much as we want him back, he shouldn't rush his recovery. Best thing would be he comes back next week fully healed and ready to go.
