Bummer. I was hoping ND or Iowa. I think he'll end up getting screwed over by Harbaugh and be just another wasted rare high-end White talent allowed to play a skill position. I hope I'm wrong.

Ya I'm leery of his decision as well. Harbaugh must have conned Martin into thinking he'll get playing time. Hopefully we're wrong.

Iowa did get a commitment from a walk on, in 6'2 205 safety in Joe Ludwig out of Middleton Wisconsin! Iowa plans on converting him to OLB..

Kitrell de-commits from Minnesota and commits to Ohio. I wonder if he'll get a shot at playing DT instead of OC. The sportscucks at 247 have him listed as OC.

I think Martin has a better shot at Michigan than ND. I think Brian Kelly is one of the biggest caste whores out there to be honest. Iowa would of been great to but Iowa's offense is so run heavy and have not been able to develop QBs lately so Michigan makes more sense.

Kelly may be learning from his mistakes. His 2017 class is much more "White-friendly" than Harbaugh's. We'll see if that trend continues. Michigan already had three highly-rated WRs in this class before Martin committed, whereas ND had two. Michigan's pro-style offense would give Martin more opportunities than ND, if he can get on the field. With Iowa's overhaul of their offense, including the OC and QB coach, but keeping it pro-style, I'm thinking that's where Martin would've benefited most.

Jackson Hannah DE commits to Alabama! Don't know if he's been mentioned.
Couldn't find anyone by that name that's committed to Alabama from '17 to '19. I did find a twitter account of a player from that area for '19, but no tweets about any commitment to Alabama. Alabama (under Caste-whore Saban) doesn't seriously recruit White defensive players.

Whoops this is class of '19, but still a white defender going to Alabama!

Part of Oliver Martin's preference for Michigan was rooted in attending camps with QB Dylan McCaffery, who built a great rapport with Martin while helping boost his recruiting rankings. They could form a terrific tandem at the next level.

Here's a clip of the McCaffery-to-Martin connection:

Obviously I'm very happy about Martin's addition to Michigan's dusky recruiting class. The Wolverines have been a rather white-friendly team overall that hasn't brought in a scholarship receiver since Drew Dileo's class of 2010.

Yes Jackson Hannah Class of 19'...still too far out & too early for "Star" ratings...guess that's old school John Hannah's son/grandson?

Not sure if already mentioned...
RB (Sprinter) Cole Dubots (CA) is a Washington State Commit
RB Josh Foley (NM)....New Mexico State Commit

Quick RECAP
APB Jackson McChesney ....BYU Commit
RB Mike Epstein (FL)....Illinois Commit
RB Kade Remsberg (KN)....Air Force Commit
RB Zane Dudek (PA)....Yale Commit

That would make sense, as John Hannah did go to Alabama. I thought it was kinda weird how he has zero stars yet has offers from Alabama, LSU, and Vanderbilt.

Justin Tranquill was a 4-star CB out of HS...Highest Rated Prospect in Western Michigan's Class of 15'...yet somehow is now the starting Strong Safety....So glad to see another prospective CB like Ryan Lezzer...but will he move to Safety too?

On their current roster Alabama has talented LB Keith Holcombe on 2nd Team on Depth Chart...will he ever get to start? Plays baseball....& former stud O-Lineman Barrett Jones has little bro. LB Walker Jones...but stuck down depth chart

247sports has already changed Lezzer from a CB to an "Athlete".

Thanks for keeping up on all of the recruiting Heretic. I greatly appreciate it!

Just curious - How long have you been following the recruiting process? I have glanced over lists here and there every year since probably 2008 and to me the make up of the lists racially looks the same every year - QBs, OTs, OGs and TEs are the only positions they will rank a white fairly high. Sometimes there is an LB or DE outlier. What are your observations?

I've done it about the same length of time, ten years or so, and have observed the pretty much the same thing. Sometimes there's a Safety that's ranked high, like Harrison Smith, but it's becoming more rare. I do think in the past several years we've seen a slight uptick in higher-ranked WRs (i.e.) Trey Quinn and Trent Irwin), but they are trying to do everything in their power to eliminate that, obviously.

TE flips to Colorado from ASU. Both teams have relatively "White-friendly" 2017 classes.

Man, last-minute signings and commits are almost entirely coal...dozens and dozens before you see a White signee, who's then usually an OL or P.

Wisconsin has a 6'7 290lb DE in Aaron Vopal coming in! Talk about size!! I really like their class, it's on the small side with only 18 recruits but 10 walk-ons, all white. QB Jack Coan is a STUD! Owns just about every passing record in Long Island history. He's got great size 6'3 200, 4.7 speed, really excited to see this kid wing it around! Also Safety Scott Nelson(6'2 185), WR Cade Green(6ft 185) and TE Jake Ferguson(6'5 215)round out skill players comitted to Madtown!

**Forgot to mention OLB Andrew Van Ginkel 6'4 240 with sub 4.5 speed! His freshman year he starred at South Dakota with 8 sacks, transferred to a community college in Iowa and is now a Badger with 2 years of eligibility left!
