Week 7 starts tonight with a tilt between the Seahawks and Cardinals. Neither team is particularly white-friendly, but it's an easy choice between Carson Palmer on the Cards and Midget Wilson on the Seachickens.

In other news, Case Keenum will start for the Texans at the Chiefs. I like Keenum getting the opportunity, but it's a tough opener with the Chiefs fans finally showing up at the stadium and being loud like the old days.

Yeah, but they are no more racist than the average NFL team as they allow 5 whites to start (about average for the NFL).

Arizona looks like they are starting 6 whites which is the most I've ever seen by the Cardinals (traditionally one of the blackest - and of course worse - teams in the NFL along with the Saints, Bengals and Chiefs).

I didn't realize I took that long of a nap. Its a new year, new season and the Cardinals are starting 6 Whites. Where did the time go? Did Peyton Hillis ever get carries? ;)

In all seriousness, I tried watching this but couldn't.

Seattle defense and running game is strong. Its hard to beat them even with the affirmative action QB.

My dislike of everything associated with the Blackhawks means that I'll be rooting for the Saints to get home-field throughout the playoffs. No other NFC team appears good enough to win 12 games and they cannot beat this team in Seattle. But the Saints appear capable and I do not believe Seattle can go to that dome and win in the playoffs. The thought of Wigger-Pete and his plantation making it to the SB or worse winning it is too much to handle.

NFL fined Brandon Marshall for wearing green shoes instead of pink, promoting mental illness awareness month...

I just watched a total of about 5 minutes of NFC Playbook on the NFL Network, a few minutes at the beginning and then about 30 seconds more after I was done working out.

The first segment I saw featured Sterling Sharpe standing in front of a large screen highlighting Riley Cooper's two big plays last week. Sharpe was complimentary of Cooper to a point, but on the TD pass he noted that it had to be a play-action call because Cooper "isn't one of the faster receivers in our league," said while he flashed his best huge, room brightening smile and a kind of nod nod wink wink look, implying Riley needed an abundance of time to get open because of his melanin deficiency. Although as Sharpe was saying this, Cooper was easily beating the defensive back down the field before making a nice grab in the endzone. On the second play, a short pass where Cooper made a quick move and turned it into a 44 yard gain, Sharpe again had to assure viewers that "Cooper doesn't have much speed." Brian Baldinger then said he had doubts that Cooper would be able to break contain at the line of scrimmage tomorrow against the Cowboys.

When I returned later, I heard Baldinger asking Jeff Saturday if Peyton Hillis could carry the load if Brandon Jacobs is unable to play Monday night. Saturday said no, because "Hillis is no Brandon Jacobs." The Madden cover player from 2011 can't hold the jockstrap of a sluggish one-dimensional back who's been washed up since 2009. And the beat goes on. . . and on and on. . .

People keep disparaging Nick Foles and Riley Cooper's numbers because it was against the Bucs. Let's see how trashy this Bucs defense really is though.

Foles against Tampa: 22-31-296. 3 TDs, 0 INTs, 1 Rushing TD
Brees against Tampa: 26-46-322, 1 TD, 2 INTs
Brady against Tampa: 25-36-225, 2 TDs, 1 INT

The Bucs were also coming off a bye week, Foles and Cooper shredded them.

Don, I believe the twit you’re referring to is actually former Giants OL, Sean O’ Hara, as Jeff Saturday is currently employed by ESPN. I understand the mistake, as both have beards, light blue eyes, have an Ebonics-twang in their voices, and provide a similar brand of mentally-diseased, Caste-flavored commentary...

CAPTION: Corporate Cretins Craft Casteon Crap

And yes, Jacobs is now appallingly-bad and was never really very good to begin with…aside from a few ceaselessly-replayed highlights of him bullying over Reed Doughty and other DB’s who weigh nearly 100 lbs less that him. Even if it means that the Casteon Giants start winning, it would be great to see Hillis prove O’ Hara wrong in a timely manner.

As for Sterling Sharpe's comments concerning Cooper's speed, well, that is surprising, as Sharpe (along with Solomon Wilcotts) is perhaps the fairest Negro analyst on NFLN.

I stopped watching NFL Countdown years ago because it annoyed me too much. But watching it today for the first time in ages I can safely say it is now even worse than before. Ray Lewis is just pathetic on that show. He doesn't talk well and he always has a menacing look on his face.

ESPN countdown guys spoke highly of Cole Beasly for the Cowboys. Remarking that he was quick like Welker in the slot but also had 4.45 speed and could break big plays, that he was on the verge of becoming Romo's goto receiver.

Cowboys aren't the worst team in the NFC to root for, and if Beasely could join the Witten/Lee show then I would probably go back to rooting for my hometown team.

Thrashen, you're right it was O'Hara. I guess all former linemen turned Caste analysts do look alike.

I tend to agree about Sharpe, but he was quoted some time back about how happy he always was when he saw a White DB lining up against him, because he knew he could easily beat him. Cooper ran a 4.5 at the Combine if I recall correctly, yet Sharpe is far from the first commentator to mock his supposed lack of speed. To use the time-honored Caste System rule that White receivers can only be compared to other White receivers, Cooper is pretty much a clone of Jordy Nelson and Eric Decker when it comes to size, speed and talent, and he showed it last week when he had a competent quarterback throwing the ball to him.

beat me to it, and it looks like Gronk is back! hit right on that forearm

watching this game, since i don't watch the Jags much. How in the hell is Mercedes Lewis still in the league? AND STARTING?

because he has a glamorous, ladylike name?

so Pats whiffed on starting 12 whites... they only got 10 by my count?

EDIT: Geno reliably throwing a pick 6. his 11th INT of the year - is this the Jets plan to keep Brady off the field? by letting the defense score?

EDIT2: Keiser (SD) with a nice sack

EDIT3: Edelman with a 38 punt return!

Woodhead with a 26 yard reception on a dump off pass, basically a handoff. Then the announcers jizz on themselves when Matthews runs for 10 yards. Woodhead has had quite a few goal line/short yardage carries to bring his ypc down, sometimes bad play calls out of shotgun with 4 receiver sets. Let him get handoffs more in the open field to bring it up. He has more big play potential than Matthews and it makes it more predictable when Woodhead is in there, Matthews = most likely run, Woodhead - most likely pass, except in the redzone, then they try to run Woodhead 2 or 3 times a game inside the 5 yard line mostly out of shotgun not fooling anyone

Smiff sacked twice, fumbling the first time but recovered by a lineman

Mike Glennon just threw his second touchdown pass of the game. He has recovered nicely since fumbling early in the game.

I would like to see the stats Tommy Bohanon(NY Jets) would put up if he were allowed to carry the ball on a consistent basis...

Julian Edelman's earlier punt return was a thing of beauty!

Beasley is having a bigger day thAN Cooper. White receivers aren't just playing for the Pats and Broncos, we have Beasley, Cooper and Hartline. Not sure why Josh Cooper isn't given a shot, he looked like he had potential when he played, same with Devon Wylie.

Barkley was looking good (Foles has a possible concussion) until he was intercepted by Sean Lee just now. He'll learn, you have to watch out for guys like Sean Lee.

Matt Barkley in for a concussed Nick Foles. He's moving the offense well thus far.
